The good was the quality repair to the crushed pipes. Installed new pipe to the damaged areas. It was a big job. The crew was respectful, cleaned up each day after themselves. The main guy, Irving was a blessing. He was customer focused, kept the crew working. He was always concerned about how we were dealing with the chaos around the 3 holes in our house, the piles of dirt in our courtyard. Always asking how we're doing. True asset to any company. Now the BAD...The actual plumbing work took 8 days. That in itself was overwhelming. To accomplish this work, the crew pulled up a portion of the luxury vinyl in the master bedroom, dug a good size hole, did the same in the master closet and a third hole in the guest bathroom. We understood why this was necessary. When the new plumbing installation was complete (8 days), the contract stated they would make sure everything would be put back the way it was before they started. It literally took 22 days before my 3 rooms were back to the original condition. The subcontractor they sent out to put the flooring back was not qualified. The plumbing company filled the holes and poured "some" concrete. They did not level it, which should have been the restoration company making sure of before laying down the luxury vinyl. We had 4 1/2 boxes of new planks for them to use if needed. As it turned out the flooring company removed more planks and made the restoration much larger than it needed to be. Consequently there was not enough of our flooring. After several calls to find our replacement luxury vinyl it was determined it was discontinued and none to be found. The Rooter Company agreed to let us pick a replacement flooring that we would be happy with. Since we were not happy with quality of work their installer performed, they allowed us to find our own installer. We did appreciate The Rooter Company making the situation right to our satisfaction. Was the company good? Yes as far as the plumbing repairs. Did they follow through with fixing the affected area in our 3 rooms in a timely manner, NO! My recommendation is before starting any work, get in writing a start & end date of all repairs. Make sure the subcontractors they use know what they're doing. I tried calling the CEO of the Rooter Company, I believe his name was Mark, left a message, would like a call back. He never called. Not good customer service. And for that reason, I will not recommend this company. Based on my explanation of our experience, it's up for you to decide to use them or not. read more

The Good: They showed up quick and the person answering phones in the Brea Office is very nice. The Bad: They are extremely overpriced. Terrible customer service follow through. Had to make repeated phone calls to them to correct a contract and never received a return call. They bait and switch interest rates and promos and when you call them out on it to correct, they go MIA. The Finance company directed me to Rooter Company to correct and after many messages, they did nothing. Fortunately, I saved a screen shot with a text of the approval/terms from the Rooter Co and their Supervisor and the finance company corrected. Still have not heard from the Rooter Co. They told us one of the reasons for the high cost had to do with the disposal of the waste, being it was a sewer line and they would need to dump the dirt and everything at a special dumpsite. Long story short, when they filled the whole back up, they used the same soiled dirt and put it back in the house to fill the hole. Called them about that too and of course no response back. I'm following up with a few different agencies on that as well as the state contractors licensing board. Stay away from them. We had a emergency leak and had to use them. Would have not been so impulsive, knowing what I know now. Unfortunately, they prey on that. Don't fall for thier timeshare like sales pitch where the plumber shows up looks at the problem offers a free video of the inside of your pipes and the person with the camera just happens to be in the area. Also happens to be the closer and the head salesman. Take your time, get quotes and do your due diligence. Hope I helped someone and saved them a headache. read more

I have mixed feelings about this company after a very long week and a total of five technician visits. Levi and Sonny were the highlights of my experience. They appeared to be younger technicians, but they were professional, knowledgeable, and focused on solving the problem. They took the time to troubleshoot and provided excellent service. I would gladly give them 5 stars. Before them, Omar stopped by and cut the pipe, but Home Depot was already closed, so the repair could not be completed that day. Gabriel also came out and advised that if the leak continued, some parts would likely need to be replaced. Both were polite and tried to help. Unfortunately, my experience with Chris was very disappointing. He didn't snake the drain far enough to properly clear or diagnose the blockage. While he did inspect different areas and check for possible issues, I felt he didn't spend enough time trying to snake the line before recommending a camera inspection. The recommendation for a camera inspection quickly led to a proposed $14,000 repair project. He also left with my pipe open. I understand it was late in the day, and he told me someone would return the next day to address it. However, I was left with an open pipe for about three days, and the issue had been ongoing with leaking for about a week. During that time, we were unable to properly use the sink, including basic things like brushing teeth and washing our face comfortably. Overall, I met several good technicians at this company, especially Levi and Sonny, but the quality of service was inconsistent depending on who showed up. After five technician visits in one week, I definitely have mixed feelings about the company. They don't have clear communication with the companies they send out to do the work so whatever you're given as an estimate is not what they ultimately charge. You will have to pay a lot more. They keep saying they'll work with you on price if something comes up during the work which is a cop out. We had a kitchen restoration job that went bad, where the original contractors did a horrible job. So when the plumbers orignally came after we got our estimate, they had informed us the countertops and sinks were not installed correctly and there is a huge gap that can affect the plumbing if they were to install the plumbing at that moment. I chose to get the countertops and sink installation done correctly. Honesty -the plumbers checked for any potential problems that may occur if they were to proceed. As a homeowner, I appreciate this. Integrity- Most plumbers would have just done the job and not care about future issues. Customer service- communication with the plumbers is key. They answered all my questions in a professional manner. Our trust with Vinny the manager is the reason why we chose this company. Silvano and Isaiah were the plumbers that came out. They performed the work in an efficient manner. They were friendly and informed me about the work before and after the installation. They took all the trash and left the place clean. More importantly, when calling the company, they came out quickly to access and schedule the work as soon as possible. VIP service. Quoted $65 for snaking a main drain clogged. Guys shows up and suddenly saids $199 and will only go from the roof. When I ask about snaking from the toilet he says that's going to be $800 and no guarantees. He tried Air vent from the roof but it was too short. Don't even know if he went into the right pipe. He then try to sell me an installation of clean out. At that point, I told him I was going to call the office about why I'm being charged different prices. When you live with a bunch of ladies, sometimes your shower gets clogged. Normally I'm able to snake a drain like a pro, but something about this wad of hair that was lodged in our pipes was unholy. After four tries, I gave up and called The Rooter Company. Even with the tech's high end drain auger, he was surprised how stubborn the massive trichobezoar our shower had somehow digested was to being dislodged. After a minute of snaking, the sound of shower draining was met with applause. "Wow, that's one massive wad of hair," said the tech, snapping a photo for posterity. "Where's the trash?" he continued. They shortchanged me $50. I had a leak in my kitchen, and Rooter was one of the first to respond to my Yelp request. Their first plumber, DL, was a newbie and had to call in others for a leak in the slab. Their 2nd plumber, SG, was a bit overbearing and offered two options: Opt A, $8,750 to run lines through HOA walls (not allowed). Opt B, ~$24k to redo all the pipes in the home. I asked about a third option: abandoning the leaking line, since it went to an unused spigot, and running a new line to the kitchen. SG went on about "already giving me a break on pricing" for a few minutes. Rooter Co also called in their mitigation company without my consent, which muddled the process of dealing with my insurance. Lastly, SG didn't enter my contact information correctly, so I never received copies of any documents I signed or the quote. Even after calling the next day, I received only a copy of the quote. Before leaving, SG demanded payment upfront. Per our discussion, the visit from Rooter and the mitigation company was $500, but it would be applied to the $8750. I later got a second and third opinion, and both quoted Option C at $5,500 and $4800, respectively. I ended up canceling Rooter Co within their 3-day policy and was refunded $8200. Rooter's response time, text updates, and phone operators were all within what you'd expect from a professional company. However, their plumbers, document management, quoting process, and willingness to hear you out will cost you in the end. They charged me $500 and stole an extra $50. read more

Luke was our technician and showed up :30 minutes after my initial call to their number, on a Saturday! He was very professional and polite. He scoped my lines in a matter of minutes and pointed out all the issues that were found. I ended up hydrojetting which seemed expensive at the time, but then googled up hydrojetting and it actually seemed in-line with market cost . I was actually more bummed he wouldn't recommend snaking the line due to the primary issues (but their quote on doing that seemed super above market, so maybe that's the way they get you to hydrojet. This, I do not know, since it seemed expensive and not a good solution for my case) There was another tech in the area that stopped by that gave me a lot of information on some bigger problematic issues and provided good solutions. It was just too big of a project to confirm on the spot. But I appreciate both the explanation and quote on the spot (albeit lengthy). A couple hours later, my drains are flowing and I'd gladly pay a small premium for the availability (if they were a little on the high end) and that's why I will give my recommendation. I had been dealing with two toilets constantly backing up and a bathroom sink that drained painfully slow for months. After multiple failed attempts from other plumbers to fix the issue, I finally called The Rooter Company--and I'm so glad I did. Their team quickly identified the real underlying problem: my sewer line was on the verge of collapse.
