I've worked with Do It Right Plumbers over the last year and they've been amazing! A few months ago, I emailed Edan in panic on a Sunday when I opened my toilet to find larvae in my toilet bowl- yuck! I didn't expect to hear anything back until Monday and took to google, freaking out that my house had a sewage leak. Edan emailed me back within minutes, asked for a photo and information, he said I probably needed a new toilet which put my nerves at ease. He offered to send a plumber out the next day- phew! His estimation was correct, just needed a new toilet. Do It Right Plumbers were so helpful, they didn't nickel and dime me and took care of the issue in basically 24 hours! The plumber left that same appointment to go get the toilet I wanted and came back and installed it- fixed in a few hours! Do It Right plumbers are clean, friendly, professional and good at their jobs! Edan and Aviran are quickly responsive, nice normal guys and so professional. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat! read more

This company is a joke. We found them off of Home Advisor and first had them out about a year ago, the guy that came was professional and charged a reasonable amount ($77). Fast forward to tonight, we called them to have them snake our kitchen sink. The guy came with in an hour, evaluated the problem and wanted to charge like 400% more ($383), for the same type of call from the prior time. When I got my husband on the phone to talk to the technician (Dakota) he said would call his manager to see if he could lower the cost, since there was a huge difference in the cost. My husband called the technician's manager and was advised to have the technician call another number. I told Dakota this and with in 5 minutes he drove away in his car. Horrible service, felt discriminated against because I was a women. I am still in awe this guy just drove away. Do NOT use them! read more

My wife and I most recently purchased a new home built in the 80s. The main water valve and backyard spigot to the house were completed rusted and leaking. When purchased our home the home inspector said that they needed to be changed and updated. I was dreading calling a plumber because I heard this type of service can be expensive. I went into Angie's list to find a good and fair plumber. I asked for a quote for Do It Right Plumbers and within mins they called me to setup a free quote appointment. They were able to work with my schedule and even waited for me until I got home from work. Darryl was our tech and he was honest, friendly and very knowledgeable. He told us what needed to be done and gave a price less than the other plumbers who contacted me. My experience was painless and Darryl completed the job in less than an hour. After he was done he doubled checked his work and showed me the new valves and how they work. He was even kind enough to help evaluate a old softer softener for no extra charge. I would recommend this plumbing company and ask for Darryl. You won't be disappointed. read more

i cant believe im writing a review (no less, rave!) for a plumbing company. i had my guest bathroom toilet start running just for no reason at all. after that the HOA turned my water off and i had several plumbers flake out on me, i called do it right plumbers. Eric showed up, on time, had a great attitude and went right to work! he found the problem, fixed it, really knew the plumbing industry and made me feel at ease immediately. i have to say that eric made an awful situation a real pleasure! i will recommend do it right plumbing to anyone, anytime! thank you so much! read more

I usually don't write reviews but since this company was so disappointing, I wanted to make others know what they are dealing with in the future. We hired them to fix the guest bathroom and add controls to the main water flow. The guy came later than expected. We just moved and we needed the guest bathroom's faucet to be replaced. The guy inspected and said it was stuck and didn't want to touch it. But they sold us the new faucet so we could do it ourselves. Then he inspects the main bathroom. He began banging on it, breaking the pipe, replaces the cartridge, added new faucet. We didn't ask them to fix it but it just happened. That weekend we use the main bathroom and the faucet kept spinning 360 which meant it was impossible to control the temperature of the water. Frustrated with the results (which we didn't ask for) we called back Monday and asked for another more experienced guy to fix the problem. The guy comes way later than expected. He blamed us for the cartridge being stuck in the pipe because we were spinning the faucet. Makes us pay $700+ for it. Then he mentioned that the other guy should have told us that the problem is way deeper and putting the new cartridge/faucet would have done nothing. So he fixed it the right way which was to open a hole on the wall, install the right pipe and added new faucet. But we already paid for the first damage they created... While fixing it the right way, he floods half of the room and got our carpet wet to a point where he needed to get an industrial fan from Home Depot and told us to dry it over night. We were so frustrated by their service and we just wanted them to fix the mess they made. But they did not get the hint, got really pushy and tried to convince us to fix the guest bathroom. And we still haven't gotten our refund on the guest bathroom's faucet they sold us which they took the faucet already and said they would refund. So this is our experience with them. If you are hiring them, I hope it's not a disaster like ours... read more

Well I just saved myself $3300 by not going with this company. We called do it right plumbers through a program called home advisor. They did come out promptly the next day. We had Noritz tankless water heater that wasn't working anymore. It was most likely the heat exchanger. Apparently they won't just exchange the heat exchanger. The estimate given for this job was $4400. I about fell over. When we had this tankless water heater installed just ten years ago it was 3000 for the whole installation that included the Noritz tankless gas water heater. So obviously we were not buying the $4400. I had already looked online to see how much a comparable Noritz tankless water heater would be and they ran around $1200 online Do it right plumbing were quoting me for the tankless water heater alone $2500. We decided to do it ourselves. We Called the Noritz company and found out which tankless water heater would be comparable to the one we had. We purchased it locally for $1131.00 and spent about $100 at Home Depot took us about a day because we are not plumbers. But we now have hot water and a new Noritz tankless gas water heater. All the piping was already there. We had to modify the pipes a little to fit the new connections ( water lines). I kept telling the plumber and his boss that I had seen the heaters online for about 1200.00 so why couldnt they just install a new one in the same location. I can't imagine just a little modification on the in out pipes to install a new one on the wall would've cost more than a couple of hundred dollars. In fairness a lot of the estimated price was things like new filter system and some other system to make the water get hotter in your house faster. That's all fine but we didn't ask for all that. we just wanted it fixed and did not want to spend almost $5000 to fix it. Sadly this has been my experience with plumbers. Many times you are in a bind no hot water. Plus we are senior citizens so I guess we are fair game. So in the end $1131.00 for a new heater 100.00 piping. $1231.00. That sure beats the $4400.00 price tag. I'm lucky my husband is handy. I wish I could find a plumber that didn't add things to the price that I didn't need. Just give me the most affordable option. That's all I ask. Reply to comment below: the tankless water heater was not installed incorrectly! It was installed by a licensed plumber authorized by Noritz. Now your just fibbing cause you don't like my review. Your company misquoted the cost of a new tankless water heater for one thing off by 1400.00 dollars then tried to add on thousands of dollars worth of work and things I didn't need. All I wanted was my hot water back. This is a practice that many of these plumbing companies do. Your no better! Your technician spent an hour cause he saw$$$$. I didn't buy it and no one else should either. Replacing one heater for a like kind should not cost that much when all the pipes are already there. We were not offered this option. We would have bought the heater at the less price and paid you to re-install it. We weren't offered this fix. read more

Felix the technician that came out was friendly and I'm sure he's a decent guy, but when we got his estimate for a tankless water heater repair, it was so outrageous that I found it insulting. See my wife's review (Carol M) for more details. When he showed us the estimate, we immediately said we thought it was way too high and weren't interested. Just like a car salesman, he kept trying to convince us that it was a reasonable estimate. We couldn't seem to convince him that we were done and it was time for him to leave. He then made a call to is boss who then proceeded to say, "what can we do to get your business"? I told him, nothing because if he dramatically lowered the estimate, that would just indicate how dishonest the original estimate was. Notice how the technician tried the same technique that car salesman use when they go get there sales manager involved. I'm sure Felix was just following his companies procedures and this review in no way blames him. It's interesting how all of the 5 star reviews appear to be written by someone who is promoting this company. Just like "Fake News", fake reviews. Beware. I normally wouldn't take the time to write a review, but this one was so outrageous. THIS IS A RESPONSE TO THIS COMPANIES REBUTTAL: You told us that your estimate is free when we calked, so that point is silly. This is common. The comment about "stick it to the man" was just weird. Maybe just a deflection. Your comments about our review ratings is completely false. I hope anyone reading this will check this out. I encourage it, even though it is not relevant. Once again just a deflection. Here's a suggestion; If a customer calls for a heater repair and tells the technician that that's all they want done, honor that request. Stop with all the add ons and extra work that this technician kept pushing. We tried several times to get that point across without success. He even called his boss and basically forced us to listen to his pressure pitch. This unit was in for 10 years before its heat exchanger failure. We just wanted the heat exchanger replaced or the entire unit if the exchanger replace was almost as much as an entire unit. Simple. Here's the bottom line: When we finally got through to your technician and his boss what we wanted, we were told the installed cost would still be near $4000. We questioned that price because a new replacement heater was $1131 and the installation is very simple and straightforward. We were then told we were wrong and that an in kind replacement would be $2000 to $2500. We even went online and showed the heater cost to Felix if we bought one. It was $1131 and that's what we eventually purchased ourselves. Around $2800 in labor to hook up the in and out piping, the gas line and 3 wires is was too excessive for us. Remember, this was an in kind Noritz replacement. You have the right to charge whatever you wish and we have the right to communicate our experience on Yelp. It's up to Yelp consumers to determine what's right for them. read more

Michael the plumber did a great job, and I would have given 5 stars except that I felt pressure to get additional work done. My plumbing job became a little complex when old joints began to break loose while Michael was installing a second shut-off valve attached to existing pipes. He worked tirelessly in a 90 degree, direct sun environment. When he completed the job and left, I discovered a leak around some of the old joints, so I called his office and Michael returned a few minutes later and fixed the problem. Michael represented his company well, did a good job, he was clean and professional, but I could sense that his company requires their employees to up sell. It may just be me, but that's how I felt. I would recommend "Do It Right Plumbers" as long as you know that you may get some pressure from the plumber to do additional work. If you do not need any additional plumbing work just stay firm and negotiate the job you called about. Would I call them again? Yes I would! They showed up on time, gave me a fair bid and did quality work. read more

Technician was on time. The up selling started the minute he walked in the door. Verbal bid for a minor job was absurdly high. Not sure how their work is as I asked him to leave. read more

Work Completed Date: February 05, 2016 Hire Again: No, Never... Approximate Cost: $89.99 Member Comments: I barely write comments to any company that I hires. But this company deserves it. Because, I want others to give another thought before hiring this company.i have bought Angieslist deal "clear 1 yard drain for 89.99". Scheduled an appointment at 9:30am. Tech showed up at 9:00am stating appt is between 9:00am -9:30am. Showed him the front yard drain which is clogged. He asked me to show the other drains. I showed him the remaining drains which are in the back yard, those have no issues. He said he will start snaking from the backyard drains. I again told him we have no issues with the back yard drains and took him on to the road and showed the 2 drain outlets. One from the front yard and the second from the backyard. That is where exactly he parked his truck. He is here to fix the clog but, didn't bother to check where the outlets are and how many of them? Which is connected to where??? I guess he is testing me whether I have any knowledge in plumbing or not. I remained quiet then he started his sales pitch.... I will TRY snacking....but ,it seems lot of roots on the way so we have to hydro jetting which costs $500 to 600???... I told him, the drain is only 15 foot long, try snaking first. In 20 mins, by 9:20 am he knocked the door and said, I tried my best and there are roots and I recommend hydro jetting.... . I told him, you barely tried for 15 mins with your snake and came up with a recommendation... Even it needs a hydro jetting, I will not hire your company....Then he said to make you happy I will try little bit more but, if the snake gets stuck, I have to dig your front yard to take it out... I said okay and was with him watching his work.... He ran the snake for another few mins and I see the snake running with no issues. He pulled it back saying if I continue this, it is going to punctured the drain... And the best option is hydro jetting... I clearly see this company has no intention to clear the clog and is here to sell their costly service... In my view, they charged $90.00, but, not even spent 20 mins to fix the problem... I am not going recommend this company to anyone..... 02/18/16 Hi Edan, Please read my entire review. Your tech did NO research how to fix the problem. He simply started telling something without trying anything. If your tech knows in advance that it can't be fixed using snake, your company suppose not to charge me the full amount... read more

Follow up: This is in reference to an early post. I want to comment on an early post I sent concerning Alex, one of their employers. Alex actually did a very good job in fixing the leaks in my faucets but I was under the assumption that by fixing the leak another problem would be solved, that was my fault, not his. However, Alex did go an extra step in cleaning out the pipe under my kitchen sink that was full of gook. I would recommend this company and Alex if you want a job well done!! I will be using this company for any future repairs. As for the cost, after checking other fees, they were quite reasonable. read more

Right before Christmas (today) our Water Heater goes out. I call "Do It Right Plumbers". They actually have an expert who can service me same day. I wait less than the time they estimated for arrival. I received a text and email to track the GPS of my plumber's whereabouts. I also have a picture so I know who is coming. He arrives. He gets right to work. He knows what he is doing. He is efficient. He is pleasant and professional. He alerts us to potential problems going forward (future) (to watch our backs). He provides a price on today's job (BEFORE we begin). I accept the charges. There are no surprises. Just Blessings! Could not have asked for a better experience. Chris Martinez really made our day! Thank you Chris and Thank you Do It Right Plumbers! You did it Right! MERRY CHRISTMAS! read more

I made an appointment a week in advance. I shuffled my work day for this appointment. Owner (Tristan) calls me day before to confirm (awesome) then texts me at my appointment time informing me that the rep is stuck in traffic and will be 30 min late(understandable). 30 minutes passed and still no rep. I tried to reach out to Tristan again but he would no longer take my call or return my texts. An hour later, I am leaving to head to work and the rep pulls up and proceeds to sit in his van for 10 minutes! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went through with the walk through. He promised my quote emailed right away. Havent received that either as I write this review a day later. Unprofessional and inconsiderate of their customers time. I will obviously not be using Do It Right Plumbers. Hope you have a better experience but I do not recommend them. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. We had decided to sign up for their monthly service plan after a job a couple years ago. Big mistake. Should have know better after we found out we had been up sold on some work that was previously done but non the less we did sign up and faithfully paid our monthly dues. We scheduled to have the tank-less water heater they installed flushed out which you need to do yearly. they proceeded to bump us... THREE times last year because other jobs went longer, as well as happening twice this year. I'm frustrated and angry. I know that there are multiple plumbing emergencies that pop up but even my wife's special need students would know this can happen and maybe they should have back up techs to fill the gaps and service their clients in a timely manner. Where this company fails in in their scheduling and planning. They have clearly established a pattern of bumping their existing clients telling them that an emergency came up instead of planning for the emergencies that they know will pop up. This year I have given up two Saturdays waiting for them to do the same thing and they keep calling us at the last minute telling us that something more important has come up. The plumbers were supposed to come first thing three Saturdays ago, I was told we were a priority due to our being bumped (by the way same excuse last year, fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me). We were then going to go to the school garden and prepare it for my wife's students with Autism to start planting. The plumbers cancelled around 1 pm. Too late to get to start anything on a Hot September afternoon. We rescheduled for yesterday - First Thing they said on the schedule, you are priority. Again, around 12 to find out what was up, and again we were told we were bumped. I then informed them that we had had it and told them to cancel everything, not just the appointment but also the worthless membership. I had better not see one red cent taken from my account for this company. Needless to say, we will no longer be using them. WASTE OF MONEY! And yes, I am sharing this story with all of my many relatives and neighbors who have older homes and will require plumbing both here in this forum, on Facebook and on twitter. Get your scheduling act together and quit wasting your clients time! Cant wait to see if the Owner post some of his lame excuses and attempts to blame the customer like I have read on other negative reviews. read more

I was impressed by their professionalism over the phone. They didn't show up for the initial appointment, and I called back to ask them what happened. I was willing to give them a second chance to come out and give me an estimate. Cameron came and he was professional and thorough in checking everything out. They are not the cheapest, but they work is of quality. I was impressed that when Cameron came in to the house, he put on the booties, since most others don't carry them and I would have to ask them to get those on before coming in. Long story short, I was happy with their work. read more

"Do it right Plumbers" just finished a major plumbing job for us which required a complete pipe replacement which spanned from the meter to our house. The project included taking out about 20 feet of recently installed pavers in our entryway and laying down new copper piping. Found Do it Right Plumbers on Home Advisor. They call and set and appointment to replace my leaking water heater. They call to confirm the next morning and the Plumber Saul called when he was on his way. Very professional, Saul gave me several options to choose from on his iPad tablet. I thought the pricing was a little expensive but they do have a membership which has built in benefits. I chose the option I wanted and He got to work and had my hot water back up and running. They will come out yearly and flush the water heater yearly and will replace my water heater at no charge for 10 years if something goes wrong with it. Thanks Saul. read more

Thought I was calling Xtreme Plumbing in Buena Park, but ended up it was "Do It Right". First time using the company, overall not impressed. I called them because one of my rental properties had a tub stoppage and my normal plumbers were both out of town. The person that I first spoke to was courteous and was able to dispatch someone out to the property quickly. Received a phone call and an email update that the technician was on his way. Very nice. Once the technician arrived, he called me and told me he wanted to inspect all of the plumbing of the house so that he could make recommendations if he saw any issues, no charge. He called me back awhile later and recommended hydro-jetting the lines for over $800.00, at that point, he hadn't even tried to clear the stoppage. I told him I would pass on that and to just clear the line. Well, to clear the tub stoppage it came to $283.00 (during regular business hours). As a property manager, I figured that the technician would try to up-sell me on things, and he did. He was definitely more interested in hydrojetting the lines than anything else. The amount that was charged was ridiculous high and for that, I will have to pass on using them again. Maybe they should change the name of the company to "Just Do Me Plumbing". read more
