I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Drain Town Rooter. I was told a technician would arrive at 8:00 AM, but nobody showed up until nearly 11:00 AM. We had to call multiple times throughout the morning just to find out where our technician was and when they planned to arrive. Once they finally arrived, I was quoted $900+ just to diagnose the source of a leak. I told them I had already received another quote for $700 that included both diagnosing and repairing the leak. They agreed to match the price, but the situation only got worse from there. After their inspection, they determined the leak was actually related to the HVAC system, not a plumbing issue. Instead of being honest and simply referring me to an HVAC professional, they still wanted to charge the full amount despite the problem being outside their area of expertise. What makes this even more frustrating is that the source of the water appeared to be obvious. The leak was coming from the attic, and there was visible water present. Charging $700 simply to determine that the issue was related to the AC system feels excessive and unreasonable. When I questioned the charge, I was told they had "done their work." In my opinion, a reputable company would have been upfront about their limitations, referred me to the appropriate contractor, and charged a fair amount for the time spent. Between the three-hour delay, poor communication, and what felt like an excessive charge for a diagnosis that did not result in a repair, I cannot recommend this company. read more

I needed a same-day sewer video inspection for a permit. I called them at noon and by 3pm I had someone at my door.....well, at my clean out! They were quick and professional. Cannon and Trent came out on a Monday afternoon and were amazing. Cannon communicated when he was on the way from Newport. When canon and Trent arrived they wore covers on their shoes and were very up front with everything. They have a drain cleaning special for 75.00 he said it would be 1895.00 to clean the drain hen the can put a camera down the drain to show a broken slab. Issue:Clogged toilet. Quick in coming out - good Quality of work: not very good in determining the best approach to resolving the issue. Left without resealing the toilet. In trying to open the main drain they pushed the cap down into the drain. Costs: very expensive ! It started at $200 and ended up costing $1900 In the end they fixed the problem but left some work for us to do to fully complete the installation of the toilet and fix the cap. They came out to price reconnecting my dishwasher. Gave me a price, but recommended replacing the dishwasher since it's old. I took the advice and bought a new one. Didn't have it connected with delivery cuz the price I'd been quoted was less $. When I called Drain Town to come connect it took several tries to get someone to come do it. When they came out, it was a different service man because the original guy was " in the hospital " I can certainly understand things happen. The problem I have is that this new guy now charged me more than double the original quote because he said he needed a bunch of extras the other guy hadn't included. He said he had to make a trip to hardware store for supplies as well. Who knows? But it all seemed suspicious to me. We had a tiny leak under the sink when we used the dishwasher so called and they did come out and fix the problem. read more

I have been confounded for months by a plumbing issue at the house where only a single shower in the house was constantly fluctuating between hot and cold water. I researched and was advised by some other tankless water heater companies to clean the tankless gas water heater's filter or change the shower cartridge (greatest nightmare DIY task of all). I cleaned the filter and replaced the cartridge to no avail. Finally, I caved and called Drain Town Rooter based on a friend's recommendation. Ryan came out, saw there were no error codes on the water heater, diagnosed the issue in a few minutes, and educated me that tankless water heaters have certain water volume requirements in order to trigger the heating mechanism. He took one look at the volume of water coming out of our showerhead and figured out the problem. He cleared the showerhead for us and the problem was instantly fixed. Hot showers have returned without fear of a cold shock and even the water pressure is back to normal. All of this to say, I highly recommend Drain Town Rooter for any plumbing issues. Price was very reasonable. And, most importantly, Ryan was excellent and we're lucky to have had a knowledgeable professional help us out. read more
