We hired Olson Superior Plumbing to install a new faucet in our kitchen. We have used them in the past and their plumber, Joseph Mendoza came to our house. He had quite a job ahead of him, our old faucet was heavily coated with calcium from a persistent leak. But he assessed the problem, made plans to take apart the faucet as far as he possibly could, and from that point forward it was a matter of Joseph taking the calcified pieces and separating them in a manner that worked, but did no harm to our granite countertops. I was impressed with his ability to pivot away from what would not have worked, and use his skills to figure out the way to succeed. This company botched a job replacing a hot/cold mixer in my shower a few years ago. Not sure why I gave them another shot, but I did. For this new project, they quoted ~$1,000 for a washing machine valve replacement -- even though they admitted it's a very standard job that they do all of the time. Other plumbers quoted much less. Then, after I left this review, they emailed and called me, wanting to make it right. OK, great, just give me a fair and accurate quote. So, they said, OK, we'll do that. In the new estimate, they dropped price to closer (but still higher) than others. So I gave them a shot to come out and inspect in person for a firm quote. After all this, they wanted to nickel and dime and charge ~ $100 just to come out and inspect! Every other plumber offers FREE onsite quotes. They are the only ones of the bunch that wanted to charge for onsite quote, even after their botched job from a few years ago AND the outrageous first quote. We are fortunate to have Javi to solve our plumbing issues for us! We had a main sewage pipe blockage problem. Our house was rebuilt in1991, and it has cast iron main pipe. Olsen sent Javi to help us. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and easy going guy. Any questions we had, he explained slowly and patiently to us. Due to the aged main pipe the inner diameter became small. It made the task very difficult to find the root cause. josh did a fantastic job on a nightmare of a situation that seemed at first to be straightforward. we moved into a new place and the only thing that was cited by the inspection report was that the casita shower was difficult to turn and to seek a plumber. well, it turns out that soon after the inspection, we lost all hot water. should have been a simple cartridge replacement, but no...unfortunately the previous job was a hatchet job with the guy using loctite which made it so difficult to remove the old parts. add in major calcification, and josh had his work cut out for him. unfazed, josh did a great job and spent hours on the job, eventually getting everything done without having to replace the valve (which would have been over a grand to do) and installing a brand new cartridge and control knob. fantastic work...highly recommended, and josh had the patience of a saint. read more

I used this company because they answered my request at about 3 in the morning when our main water line ruptured in my front yard. They did show up when they said they would and gave me an estimate. I chose to go with the estimated work because I needed to get the water back in and get to work. They then wanted to "inspect" all the bathrooms and the kitchen, which I didn't like. I hired them to fix the problem in the yard. They also tried to upsell me on replacing more of the line. They wanted to charge us $400 and hour to dig up the rest of the line, and were trying to convince my wife that there was another leak in the line by sucking the water out of the main line with a vacuum. The repair was made and when pressure tested another fitting came apart. They wanted to replace the whole line. They gave me an estimate of $2100 for 4' of PVC and a few fittings. I asked them to stop and then rescheduled them for the next day. Our landscaping contractor who had installed the fitting that failed was able to fix the problem. I canceled the next appointment and will not be using them again. read more

So I had a great experience with this company. They did a full drain repipe of my (old) house, replacing cast iron with ABS. First and foremost, they were both professional and consistent in their communication. I had multiple ways to contact them, and I always got a response. This is a highly organized company, not a dude with a cell phone, if you know what I mean. These people are pros. Second, the crew they sent to do the repipe was on time, courteous, professional, and did a quality job. Before they arrived, they always sent a text message letting me know they were on their way. It took them three days to do the main work, followed by an additional day after the initial inspection. Third, we had some issues with the city permits (partially my fault) and they were patient and willing to reschedule as needed. They adapted well to the inspection requirements of the city (Fullerton) and were present at both inspections. I tried TWO other companies before selecting Olson, and both dropped the ball in one way or another. I'm very glad I went with them. They are indeed "Superior" as their name suggests. Do not use this company! We had someone come out to fix a clogged toilet. The technician was here for less than 30 minutes, didn't even need to use a drain snake, and still charged us $295. To make matters worse, they broke our toilet handle during the visit, so we had to call them back out. When the second technician arrived, he told us the first technician hadn't even fixed the toilet properly and then tried to charge us an additional $300 to complete the repair. Amazing team! Zachariah, Corey, and the rest of the crew promptly responded to my emergency service call regarding a leak in our subfloor that was coming into our house. They quickly located the leak and stopped it from further damage. Furthermore, they also offered solutions so that we wouldn't run into this type of issue any longer, as our plumbing was outdated with corroded copper piping. Long story short, we ended up hiring them to re-pipe our entire house, install a new tankless water heater, as well as a whole house, water refinement system. On top of all that, we had to deal with our insurance company to help repay for the damages, and their team also handled a lot of that communication, which is rare in my experience working with plumbing companies.
