His clothing was also unprofessional. I informed him that I am highly allergic to marijuana exposure (throat tightening, facial and eye burning), and he confirmed he had smoked before entering my home. Because of this, I asked him to leave for health and safety reasons. He did apologize. I want to be clear that the company itself handled my complaint extremely well. They were apologetic, took the situation seriously, credited my delivery, and promptly sent a second technician who was clean, professional, and respectful. This review reflects a poor hiring or screening decision--not the company's response, which was excellent. I appreciate how quickly they corrected the situation. Furthermore, the hospital bed served its purposes and was delivered within 2 days of ordering.

My partner and I frequently visit the northern Virginia Falls Church area about once or twice a month. During our recent stay, his motorized scooter stopped working, and we found ourselves in a tough situation. Being far from home, it was imperative for him to maintain mobility, especially since we needed to have the scooter serviced. Unfortunately, it was impossible to have it serviced after 6 PM because the necessary part wasn't readily available and had to be ordered. When I called Medical House, Darrius answered and went above and beyond to assist us. He remained on the phone after closing hours to explain everything clearly regarding the rental of a motorized wheelchair scooter. Thanks to his help, we were able to work it out and pick up the motorized wheelchair we rented for a month at a very reasonable price. What truly sets Medical House apart is the genuine care they demonstrate. There was absolutely no pressure to make a purchase; it felt clear that they are dedicated to helping people rather than just making a sale. As a small business, their commitment to customer service is commendable, and I'm thrilled to support them. My partner is a disabled veteran, and it means a lot to find a business that truly understands and caters to our needs. Thank you once again, Andrew and Darrius! I sincerely hope Medical House continues to thrive for many years to come.

His belief is simple: we don't work with healthy people, we work with the sick and hurt and older people and we need to accommodate them. Opened 7 days a week and easy to get to. Purchased a transport wheelchair that had to be light enough for my mother to be able to put it in the car. Absolutely got it right!

I was very satisfied with my experience renting a mobility scooter from JK Medical Supplies. I…read morerecommend them if you are looking for such a rental in the extended D.C. area. I rented mine directly from the shop on Edsall Rd., but if you plan ahead, they will deliver the scooter to you and they offer a 24/7 service to help with issues that arise. I did not have any issues, so I cannot directly confirm how that works. My family decided at the last minute that one of our adults would be better off with a mobility scooter because her health issues make any walking tour a strain. The first place I called did not answer and wanted me to leave a message. I didn't have time to wait around for a callback, so I kept trying. I feel so lucky that the second call I made was to JK Medical Supplies! They were so helpful and so nice and knowledgeable. They even gave us ideas about activities in the area that we could do. The scooter they rented to us is a Vive 3-wheel. They made sure that it was the right size for our needs and gave us a demo of how to operate and transport the scooter. The scooter was in excellent condition and it worked well for us. In addition to concrete scootering, we took it on a day hike trail in the Shenandoah Valley. We checked with the visitor center for scooter-friendly hikes. The trails there are smooth enough, but we had to turn around when we got to the uneven rocky area with the obvious horse (ahem) trail. As far as the scooter itself, I would say the 3-wheel is excellent for touring in D.C. and flat, civilized areas, but if you want more adventure with the rocks and the horses, you'll definitely want to ask them for a more rugged 4-wheel with higher clearance and more lateral stability. I spent some time talking to them about their business and they claim that they are often called by a hotel concierge to remedy a delivery issue from less reliable rental companies (I thought about that company that didn't even answer the phone). They sound very dedicated to customer service. I did not need anything above and beyond, like middle-of-the-night service or delivery, but I did see firsthand how customer-friendly they are. It is very hard to find good customer service, but JK Medical shines in that regard. They also claim to personally research each product the sell/rent. They have a lot more than scooters. Our family member had a big smile on her face and laughed at being able to leave the rest of us in the dust, for once. It was a big contrast to what we usually deal with: a grumpy, droopy, sad face. Thank you JK Medical for making our visit to Virginia and D.C. a lot less strenuous and a lot more fun for our family!

I need the scooter to visit my daughter at a local university in DC and the campus is large! The scooter was like new and so simple to drive and put in and out of my car. It is heavy and I need the help of my daughter to take it in and out of the trunk, but after that, I'm all set to use it alone. It also comes apart to help with lifting the pieces and put it in my car. Bennet showed me how to take it apart and put it back together for easier mobility in and out of my car. It is simple to do! Bennet is amazing!!! As the other woman said in her review, "He is incredibly responsive, customer focused, and truly cares about his clients. He is a rarity in this field and I highly recommend him!" Bennet dropped the scooter off at the home I where I was visiting and picked it up the morning I was headed to the airport. Bennet did this with a last minute booking (2 days notice both times) and accommodated my schedule and delivered. When I met Bennett, he was kind, thoughtful and cared about my needs for the use of the scooter. I highly recommend Bennet and wouldn't go anywhere else for a scooter rental in the DC area!

This time around I had the pleasure of working with Ms Shelby Nelms, within the Sales Department. Shelby is one of the kindest, patient, attentive and positive people I've ever met, which in her line of business and with the special circumstances of the customers that she works with, is absolutely needed. Thank you Mobility Works and especially you Shelby, for helping to make my families dream come true of owning a wonderful and beautiful vehicle for particularly for my son and making the process such a smooth and speedy one at that. May the Lord, continue to bless you and your organization as you all go forth in helping other families in need.

In short: lack of privacy and aggressive sales practices…read more We were in need of a wheelchair van and found one online that we liked very much... so much so, that even before reaching out only an absolute disaster could have kept us from the purchase. On the morning of our appointment their sales agent, Shelby, called to confirm but I was unable to answer. Almost immediately, Shelby then called relatives (outside of our household) and shared personal information we had provided while asking questions about my needs. Because of the individual called, this created quite a bit of chaos and an extremely uncomfortable and awkward situation for our family. I explained to Shelby that I wanted to cancel my appointment and to please delete my contact information - that I would never purchase from them due to what I considered to be predatory and aggressive sales practices... essentially trying to get information from a relative in order to have more information about my disability and needs before the sales appointment -- while informing that relative of our plans to purchase, as well. I said clearly and directly that I did not want to be contacted by Mobility Works again. That I would go without rather than purchasing anything from them again - at all. She said she would remove the numbers from her database. Despite the assurance of no further contact, a short while later, their General Manager, Jim O'Mara, called... trying to smooth things over but yet being insulting and sarcastic in the process. For example, when I stated I did not give them those numbers, he replied that they did not get them from "outer space." It's clear from another review further down the page here that this is not an isolated incident but rather business as usual from them. When I first filled out their form online, a corporate representative (Illinois number) immediately called me about trading in my 2010 vehicle - something I had not entered on the website form or mentioned in conversation. I thought nothing about it at the time - strange, but assumed they had confused me with another customer. After today's interaction, it's quite clear that they use databases from other sources. I find it extremely concerning and discouraging that a business would not only do this - but would do this with a client base that is primarily disabled.
