This was the closest place…read more As I walked in, I overheard the proprietor interacting with a woman who was trying to return a damaged piece of equipment. The propretor remained cool and calm as he tried to tell this woman he couldn't give her credit because the equipment was damaged. She didn't care, and expected obeisance. In fact, as she left spewing insults, she threw the business' cards all over the floor. So imagine the proprietor was having to deal with this while attempting to make his next sale. He remained calm, professional, and unflustered throughout our transaction, ensuring I had what I need, and offering me the military discount after I used a USAA credit card for the piece. I went back the next day for other items. I was pleased. They don't seem to have what I'd call a "superstore" inventory, but a good selection, and the (apparent) ability to order other things. As I'd rather do business with local, small businesses, this place hit all my high spots.

This place is the Mecca of medical supplies, and if you are unfortunate enough to face an upcoming…read moresurgery or debilitating physical condition, the Medical Supply Super Store will help you develop a solid game plan. Because let's face it, when you're ill, cool tools and gadgets make everything better. They've got everything you could ever need or want . From walkers to hospital beds, you are bound to find that one item that will make your life that much easier. Of course, everyone has their favorite, but for myself, I'm torn between the extended grabber and the elevated toilet seat. The reason for why the grabber is a post surgery healthcare favorite goes without saying--who does want snag pesky out of reach items--but the elevated toilet seat is a gem beyond price. For jus $39.95 you can turn the average toilet into a royal throne of comfort and distinction. So this Medical Supply Super Store item took a miserable, Grinch bathroom experience and turned it into a comfortable Winnie the Pooh win! That's right right, Piglet, tell Christopher Robbin that we've got this. So when you're looking for top notch medical supplies, The Medical Supply Store is great place to start your journey to recovery.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding service we received from Medical House,…read moreAndrew, and Darrius. My partner and I frequently visit the northern Virginia Falls Church area about once or twice a month. During our recent stay, his motorized scooter stopped working, and we found ourselves in a tough situation. Being far from home, it was imperative for him to maintain mobility, especially since we needed to have the scooter serviced. Unfortunately, it was impossible to have it serviced after 6 PM because the necessary part wasn't readily available and had to be ordered. When I called Medical House, Darrius answered and went above and beyond to assist us. He remained on the phone after closing hours to explain everything clearly regarding the rental of a motorized wheelchair scooter. Thanks to his help, we were able to work it out and pick up the motorized wheelchair we rented for a month at a very reasonable price. What truly sets Medical House apart is the genuine care they demonstrate. There was absolutely no pressure to make a purchase; it felt clear that they are dedicated to helping people rather than just making a sale. As a small business, their commitment to customer service is commendable, and I'm thrilled to support them. My partner is a disabled veteran, and it means a lot to find a business that truly understands and caters to our needs. Thank you once again, Andrew and Darrius! I sincerely hope Medical House continues to thrive for many years to come.

I had a very concerning experience with the delivery driver who initially came to set up my bed. He…read morearrived smelling strongly of marijuana, to the point that it filled my entire home. His clothing was also unprofessional. I informed him that I am highly allergic to marijuana exposure (throat tightening, facial and eye burning), and he confirmed he had smoked before entering my home. Because of this, I asked him to leave for health and safety reasons. He did apologize. I want to be clear that the company itself handled my complaint extremely well. They were apologetic, took the situation seriously, credited my delivery, and promptly sent a second technician who was clean, professional, and respectful. This review reflects a poor hiring or screening decision--not the company's response, which was excellent. I appreciate how quickly they corrected the situation. Furthermore, the hospital bed served its purposes and was delivered within 2 days of ordering.

I have rented a great scooter from Bennet Helfgott at Mobility City twice now from the Boston area…read moreand have chronic illnesses that require me to rent scooters when I travel. I need the scooter to visit my daughter at a local university in DC and the campus is large!   The scooter was like new and so simple to drive and put in and out of my car.  It is heavy and I need the help of my daughter to take it in and out of the trunk, but after that, I'm all set to use it alone.  It also comes apart to help with lifting the pieces and put it in my car.  Bennet showed me how to take it apart and put it back together for easier mobility in and out of my car.  It is simple to do!   Bennet is amazing!!!  As the other woman said in her review, "He is incredibly responsive, customer focused, and truly cares about his clients. He is a rarity in this field and I highly recommend him!" Bennet dropped the scooter off at the home I where I was visiting and picked it up the morning I was headed to the airport.   Bennet did this with a last minute booking (2 days notice both times) and accommodated my schedule and delivered.  When I met Bennett, he was kind, thoughtful and cared about my needs for the use of the scooter.   I highly recommend Bennet and wouldn't go anywhere else for a scooter rental in the DC area!

Mobility City called me back very quickly and Bennett was honest, patient, and supportive with talking me through our needs, and quickly getting us what we needed. Delivery happened within 24 hours, we were able to pay by credit card over the phone, and the delivery was smooth and easy, and friendly. They are a small business, with a personal touch, and Bennett is friendly and hard working. Always nice to know that small businesses can still do great work with a personal touch.

As a young adult, being able to get back to being independent and driving again has allowed me to apply for jobs and reduce the stress and cost of arranging transport everywhere. On the morning of our appointment their sales agent, Shelby, called to confirm but I was unable to answer. Almost immediately, Shelby then called relatives (outside of our household) and shared personal information we had provided while asking questions about my needs. Because of the individual called, this created quite a bit of chaos and an extremely uncomfortable and awkward situation for our family. I explained to Shelby that I wanted to cancel my appointment and to please delete my contact information - that I would never purchase from them due to what I considered to be predatory and aggressive sales practices... essentially trying to get information from a relative in order to have more information about my disability and needs before the sales appointment -- while informing that relative of our plans to purchase, as well. I said clearly and directly that I did not want to be contacted by Mobility Works again. That I would go without rather than purchasing anything from them again - at all. She said she would remove the numbers from her database. Despite the assurance of no further contact, a short while later, their General Manager, Jim O'Mara, called... trying to smooth things over but yet being insulting and sarcastic in the process. For example, when I stated I did not give them those numbers, he replied that they did not get them from "outer space." It's clear from another review further down the page here that this is not an isolated incident but rather business as usual from them. When I first filled out their form online, a corporate representative (Illinois number) immediately called me about trading in my 2010 vehicle - something I had not entered on the website form or mentioned in conversation. I thought nothing about it at the time - strange, but assumed they had confused me with another customer. After today's interaction, it's quite clear that they use databases from other sources. I find it extremely concerning and discouraging that a business would not only do this - but would do this with a client base that is primarily disabled.
