Big fan of these donuts! I was able to snag a discount box and they were all delicious

Early morning fresh donuts and excellent service. We got ourselves a few bags of the donut holes ($2.25/bag) and a unicorn magic colored one. All 10/10. Of you haven't stopped by...you're missing out. Plenty of parking...plenty of inside sitting (if needed or wanted) and lots of choices on donuts and drinks.

The donuts were amazing and the woman working was very kind! I went in around 11am on a Monday morning and they still had a great selection! Overall wonderful experience, I will be coming back!

Great find. Donuts are delicious. For lack of a better term the shop looks a bit run down, but they crush their donuts. Small parking lot makes it an easy and quick stop. Went in during the Covid-19 June 2020 time. Main door is entrance only, side door is exit only. Plexi up at the counter to protect everyone. The tables have all been removed and everything is to go only. Large selection of donuts. Everything my little mind could think of. Several specialty items fritters, bear claws, bacon bar, muffins, danish. Coffee of course. Most of the "basic donuts" are about $1 each, $9.99 / dozen. The fancy ones were around $1.60. Definitely glad I found it.

These donuts were not too bad. They have your typical flavors such as glazed, apple fritters, maple, etc. We got 6 donuts and they were all pretty tasty. Like I said they were just your typical donut.

Heard so many great things about this place sooooo, ima be a heffa and try it out!

Hmmm, ok, I may not popular after this lol EVERY.ONE. I KNOW....has told me to go to this place! "It's the best doughnut shop in Boise! Amazing doughnuts!" And my heffa ass LOVES me some doughnuts. I don't eat them as often as I wish I could because a bitch gotta try for the year round summer bodaaaay! Hahaha! Basically, i try to watch the sugar intake....even though i absolutely LOVE my treats. Love my cheat days but no matter how much one works out, which I do a lot, but when you reach a certain age, you realize....f**k! I can't eat this shit anymore or at least not like I used to in my teens and 20s lol. You have 2 doughnuts and it's like your muffin top expands 4 more inches hahahaha! Ok. So this place. I gave it 3 stars because I don't wanna be too mean. Maybe I went too late in the day, but homie had like 3 trays of doughnuts out....which I found....odd... because the display case had so much more room and was basically crying for more doughnuts because it was hungry for them the way I was, HA! I'm a whore for a good Blueberry jelly doughnut. I asked him if he had any. "No sorry" That's it. Then he was like....WAIT! Bear claw, blueberry jelly!" I was in there hoping for a regular sized doughnut. The bear claw doughnuts were the size of an actual bear claw! Did that stop my heffa ass tho?? Hell no hahaha! I got home and tore into it. Aaaaaand, I mean, it was good. The bear fingers were all dough (which is ok) but then I got to the palm of the beat claw, like 3 hours after I started eating it, lol....and again...dough. I was like, ok, maybe he didn't understand me too well when I was there, maybe there was a language barrier. I was wrong on that. I finally got to the blueberry. Yall don't understand how much I love blueberry jelly doughnuts lol. This was a good doughnut. That's it. Country doughnuts down on 5 mile and Overland....HANDS DOWN...best Blueberry jelly doughnuts and honestly, the best doughnuts I've had in Boise. Pastry Perfection is a close second. I'm trying to rain on anyone's parade here when it comes to DK doughnuts. If yall love them, more power to you. I just try to tell it as it is and this place....is good, but HIGHLY overrated lol. I guess people automatically assume these places are the best because it's located on the north end/in the downtown area and most places in those locations, no matter what city, I mean, no doubt are usually delicious and the best.. especially when they're mom and pop places.... Like this place is. I guess had I gotten doughnuts at the butt crack of dawn, they would've been better? I dunno. Pastry Perfection is 2 mins from my house. So I'll always go there. DK is close to my house, but not as close as Pastry Perfection. Sadly, Country Doughnuts is like 20 mins from me, 4 hrs with Boise traffic, hahaha! So when I go to my doc in Meridian, every 3 months or so, I stop there for 1 doughnut lol. Ok, I guess that's all I got. This place is good, not great and certainly NOT "Boise's best doughnuts" It's good if you're in a rush or maybe if u wanna make out of towners you know of great doughnuts and can't make it over to Country Doughnuts...HA! Doughnuts are fun regardless. So use this review if you'd like if not, I'll just shut up and let yall enjoy your doughnuts hahaha! Thanks, yelpers!!! Cheers!

Honestly, at that moment in time, I wasn't even excited for the fritters after having such a dry donut the day before. I asked for 1 fritter to be in a box and the other 3 to be in another. The gal that helped me the day before opened the window, didn't greet me, stared at me which was an awkward interaction. I told her I was there to pick up my fritters and her response was "I know". Yes, you know but I didn't know if you remembered..... A sweet gal popped up with my boxes. Explained to me which box was what and sent me on my way. I got my goods and made my way home. When I was picking up the boxes, I noticed the warmth of the box and the weight. I can tell these were going to be heavy weight fritters. Opening the box, this baby was huge! Perfectly glazed from top to bottom. My husband took his first bite. He was very happy with the fritter. I took a chunk and was very delighted at how sweet, crunchy and delicious this fritter was. The middle was soft and airy. The exterior of the fritter was crispy and crunchy even though there was a glaze over it. The cinnamon and apple chunks were in every bite. It was a fantastic apple fritter! My husband was greedy and ate a majority of it. I'm happy I got a nice chunk of it to try out. The donut and fritter was night and day. I'm happy that I got to experience the hype of the apple fritter that everyone had raved about! Believe the hype! The apple fritters here were money. If I could do half stars, this visit would have been 4.5 but it's going to be a 4. My first initial interaction with the first gal wasn't the best. You deal with a ton of different people everyday, how was I to know you knew what I was there for if you don't say anything to me? A simple "we are grabbing your fritters" would have been cool but I got stared at. I'm assuming the gal that gave me my order was the person in charge. Professional, sweet and great line of communication. I don't know when I'll be back for another round of goodies but if someone asks where they could get some fabulous fritters, I'll be suggesting this joint for sure.

Luckily I was there that day and was able to snag a chocolate bar. I remember it being so good! I thought today was a good day for a sweet treat so I made my way in! My husband's request was an apple fritter if they had any. I came in later in the afternoon and surprisingly there were still quite a few donuts available. I was happy that there was quite a selection still. They all looked so good! Even the classic glazed looked tasty. After looking over the goodies, I decided on a half dozen of mixed donuts. The sweet lady behind the counter was so patient with me as I was looking and second guessing my choices. With the mixed variety you get 3 classic, 2 specialty and 1 extra fancy donut. I snagged a round glazed, a chocolate and maple bar, 2 apple fritters and a fancy donut with cream and strawberries on top. I was planning on giving 3 of the goodies to my in laws. I asked the sweet lady for an extra box and with no hesitation she grabbed it got me. I was able to get my goodies sorted. I dropped off the maple bar, an apple fritter and the cream and strawberry donut to my in laws. My father in law loves apple fritters and didn't hesitate to grab it from the box and claim it right away. 0 He enjoyed half of it and is saving the other half for later. Nothing but great things were said about his treat. I forgot to mention earlier that the sweet lady gave me two donut holes in my box. I snacked on those and mannnnn were they good! They were so soft and sweet. I just wanted a little something so it was perfect! My husband devoured his apple fritter. I didn't even get a bite! I'm happy he enjoyed it! I was recently at Krispy Kreme and honestly the donut I got tasted stale. Like it had been sitting out for more than a day. I only had 2 small donut holes and they blew Krispy Kreme out of the water, it was night and day. I'm happy I got to stop in today and grab some goodies. The donuts were amazing! The service was great! And I got to support a local business in my area! I look forward to coming back and grabbing more treats for my family/friends sometime soon.

Headed to gym event, but needed doughnuts haha! Did they have them? Nnnnnnope! Made me very sad. This place sells their cookies in WinCo and I think Whole Foods. Their cookies are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I could easily eat a bag of 8 in probably half a day lol. Then I'd get all depressed because my bikini wouldn't fit right :( So when I asked about the doughnuts she said they haven't been making them and I think she said it was because of staffing issues. Thanks to the virus and people now refusing to work because the government is giving them too much in unemployment, this is the case with way too many restaurants, bakeries, etc. That's my subtle jab at the current government and what they're doing to the country lol! So I left without doughnuts BUUUUT I did buy a bag of cookies. The same bag I could have bought at WinCo or Whole Foods. She said basically everything they did that morning was make the cookies for the stores and she watched them leave to take them to the stores. Exciting! I felt all guilty as soon as I bit into one of the cookies but OMFG THEY ARE SO GOOD! Have y'all ever been to a crumbl? If you have one where you live GOOOOO! This places cookies are basically they lower calorie version of Crumbl because some Crumbl cookies have 850 calories in ONE cookie hahahaha! Is it worth it tho? Absolutely lol So are these cookies, but if you are trying to watch your calorie intake then maybe stay away because you can tear through a bag of these with ease. Chocolate crinkle and snickerdoodles are my go-to's! Ooooooh! Ok, y'all, WTF is with the twist ties you used to tie up the bags of cookies? STOP using those! They are literally THE WORST! I'm sure they're cost effective but stop! I'm also sure with selling to those two major grocery stores plus selling them in your bakery that you can absolutely afford to use better ties, ones that we can actually open and reuse vs these where you can't just open them, you have to cut the top of the bag and then basically...the bag is useless after that. I know this sounds petty, but ugh they're they worst! Aside from that, this place is super nice. It's in a very weird location tho, I was surprised by that. It's like the only sit down place on this street. Across from them is a warehouse of some sort, half a block up are homes, it's just seems like it would be better on the north end, or NW Boise, basically anywhere other than where it is lol. The staff is super sweet, the ones that were there lol. I'll definitely be going back. Glad my first experience there was a decent one even if they didn't have doughnuts for my heffa ass hahahaha! Decor is great, kids loved how vibrant the place was. Ice cream asks donuts looked delightfully delectable. However, a bit of a let down on the donuts. I ended up ordering a basic donut ice cream sandwich for about $6. Which is basically a regular donut split in half with ice cream in the middle and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. However, for a dollar more you can get a deluxe with deluxe toppings like sprinkles, marshmallows and the like. Also ended up ordering a BIG Donut (Salted caramel Biscoff) for $4 and ended up eating part of it. Donuts are not made in house (I don't think. Or least didn't taste like it). The ice cream was MID, as the kids would say, great on a hot summer day (98 deg outside) but nothing spectacular. Service was decent, quick, but definitely can tell the person was bored. All in all, it was a decent experience. If you're in the area check it out.
