I had used their online order process several times before without any issues, so I assumed the order had been accepted and their were no questions or concerns with the order. When I arrived to pick up the cheesecakes, I was told that the order could not be completed because they require five days' notice. However, I never received an email, text message, or phone call informing me that the order could not be fulfilled. In the past, I had received messages from them with questions about an order or notification when they were unable to complete one. The situation became even more disappointing when I asked to speak with a manager. I showed her that the online ordering page was unclear about the required advance notice and suggested adding specific information for customers ordering cheesecakes. I also explained that I had not received any notification about the issue and suggested sending customers a text message when an order cannot be fulfilled. Rather than acknowledging the communication problem or apologizing for the inconvenience, the manager placed the responsibility entirely on me, stating that I should have called to confirm the order. She also said that, because they are a small team of three, they do not have time to communicate with customers by phone or text. I understand that small businesses have staffing limitations, but the lack of communication and the manager's dismissive response were unacceptable. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed, and after this experience, feel less likely to return despite their awesome pastries. (UPDATE: the following day I noticed they had updated their online order request to include "7 day notice requested for all orders". So, even though the manager/owner did not accept any accountability to to situation and acted completely unsympathetic to the outcome, she must have realized that they could do something on their side to keep this from happening again to someone else in the future).

My first one was not what I had ordered, I don't know what it was. My second round was almost perfect. The honey cinnamon chai was so good! It was sweet and spicy. I love the added cinnamon in there. It tastes like it should be cold and holiday season outside. I did pay for a shot of espresso to make it dirty which I never got. It was almost a cup of perfection. I honestly thought that at least one of them would have greeted me. It's not the best feeling just standing there feeling invisible. I don't think two people need to ring up one guest. So, I just stood there. Finally a sweet gal that was in the baking area greeted me. She was really kind and knew that I was not being helped. She stepped up to the plate and got me taken care of.
