Ho-Ho-Holiday treat is eggnog cheesecake! This is 6", 9" also available to order.
    Michele R.

In the wayback of May 2021 when I wrote a 4-star review for Flourish they had no storefront and I was enjoying their mmmm...arvelous macarons and cake jars by purchasing them at Lark & Larder (there's a great little market in Boise you should visit) and the Boise Farmers Market, I thought if they had a storefront then the 5th star would rise. Shazam! They opened their bright, sparkling and contemporary design bricks and mortar bakery in a new building in Garden City in Fall'ish 2023 and while I have been in many times since then, I did not think to update my review to add that star. Today, Christmas Eve 2024, as I walked out with an eggnog cheesecake for Christmas dinner (as Ina Garten says, my guests do NOT have a better time because I made dessert) and a lemon meringue tart for this morning's breakfast (don't judge, ho-ho-ho), I remembered I needed to add that last star. GOODIES & BEV: Macarons, naked cakes and cake jars are their claim to fame, I think, but they also bake cheesecakes (hooray), tarts and assorted goodies like cinnamon rolls and muffins. They also have coffee beverages (and maybe others too but it is coffee that calls my name) like a nice Americano. MOSTLY GRAB & GO: There are a few high perch stools alongside a narrow counter at the window if you want do enjoy your purchases inside. But this is mostly set up to order at the counter to grab and go. LOCATION: Corner of Chinden and 32nd in Garden City. For location 'wayfinders', Telaya winery's lovely tasting room is straight down 32nd from here and Black Moon for great pizza and salads is about 6 blocks up Chinden. PARKING: Unlike most of Garden City where parking lots are a mess, this new one in the back of this new building is in good shape. This one also has correctly designed and installed ADA parking. (Woohoo since I have multiple sclerosis since college and now rely on that parking myself.) Note the parking lot is one way in off of 32nd and another way out...I need to point that out to my husband every time. "NO, honey! See the DO NOT ENTER sign? You have to go around to exit." LOO: They have one and it is uni. Good to know before you order that cup of coffee, eh? I love that they had Mrs. Meyer's hand soap to use in it. The little things... I noticed that when I went in to use it for the first time today. ACCESSIBLITY: Accessible parking in lot at back. Street parking along side if you can navigate across a grass planting strip. Level in from sidewalk, all on one floor. The loo is perfect in accessible design EXCEPT the door is way too heavy to meet Building Code or ADA rules. Yes, they do need to adjust it at the spring loaded top to not exceed 5lb force needed to push it open. Yes, it is important says she who once was concussed after a fall from trying to push open a too heavy door in a hotel lobby loo as the cause. I will write a letter after the holiday as I imagine the owners don't know this code requirement and the fault is with the building department for not calling it out when the space is built.

The most amazing gluten free pastries I've ever had! Visited from California and couldn't believe how delicious, fresh, and affordable these gluten free treats were!

    Cranberry orange scone

The cranberry orange scone I had was incredible- buttery, light, and fresh. I will absolutely be stopping here more for coffee and pastries! I've driven past so many times and I'm glad I finally went in. It made my morning learning that they offer breakfast treats.

I've been a huge fan of Danielle & Sarah's for over a year. I've hidden countless macarons in my mouth since coming across them at The Boise Farmers Market. So of course I had to check out their new brick & mortar location. It's absolutely wonderful! & the countless rows of perfect macarons & cakes made my heart sing. I'll be trying my best to not be there daily! Yummy! 10/10 highly recommend!!!

    Boise Sunrise Macaron!

Chai tea is a made from Scratch delicious treat and the macarons are all so good. We have not had a bad one yet. Service is great, setting is cute. Love it all! We gift little boxes of cookies to our friends and teachers. Cake in a jar is also great and I love the gluten free options!!

Such a fun place to hangout!

They can also be ordered and shipped throughout the US. During the pandemic, Molly Renaldo found herself buying a daily macaron from her local coffee shop. She decided to use her extra time at home to learn how to make them herself. Her first pop up was in January 2021. I discovered this business at Payette Brewing Co.'s Holiday Market on 12/2/21. There were six flavors available: Hot Chocolate, Snickerdoodle,Candy Cane, Maple Bacon, Strawberry Chocolate, and Lucky Charm. For $12, I bought one of each. These macarons are sweeter than any I've had before. Personally, I prefer a macaron that is a little less sweet and more strongly flavored. But the interesting flavors will appeal to others. The macarons are nicely packaged. The two pack is the perfect size for a stocking stuffer. My favorite flavors were Hot Chocolate and Snickerdoodle. My second favorite flavors were. Candy Cane and Maple Bacon, though I couldn't taste the bacon. My least favorite flavors were Strawberry Chocolate and Lucky Charm. Both were overly sweet, to the point that I struggled to pick up any other flavors. When I closed my eyes and took a bite of each, they were barely distinguishable from one of them. Lucky Charms was my favorite cereal as a child, but it doesn't works as a macaron. To keep track of The Dolce Co.'s pop-up schedule, like and follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

What a great candy store!!!…read more First of all it is such a throwback to the original candy stores, I mean way way back. It's wonderful!! The store has bulk, candy from the past, and current candies like pez. The people at the counter were wonderful. They have soda in the coolers. Little gift packages you can fill and buy, boxes and pails. I got Keroppi candy. And a Pez for my mom I'd never seen before. Everything is so tempting!! It's a bit pricy though. They always have such a big variety of goodies. Walking in, it's hard not to get overwhelmed by all the goodies, colors and displays. We went straight to the display counter to look at the truffles and to see if they had the Dubai bar. We were the only ones in the store. It was quite weird not to see a sales associate for a good amount of time. We located the bar, she decided against the bar since she can get one local for the same price and almost double in size. We walked around the store and looked at all the fun stuff. I love how everything is so organized and clean. When you have multiple customers through out the day going in and out of a bin, it's nice to see that it's clean. I personally don't like candy in bulk cause of potential germ contamination. But honestly, I have boughten candy from this joint and I have never had any issues since they keep it so clean. If your looking for a small sweet treat, Lolli and Pops would be a great store to grab your goodies at. Our even a fun gift for someone that likes sweets. They have a little of everything which is nice! Customer service wasn't the best when we were there. But we didn't stress about it. Maybe next time customer service will be better.

Headed to gym event, but needed doughnuts haha! Did they have them? Nnnnnnope! Made me very sad. This place sells their cookies in WinCo and I think Whole Foods. Their cookies are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I could easily eat a bag of 8 in probably half a day lol. Then I'd get all depressed because my bikini wouldn't fit right :( So when I asked about the doughnuts she said they haven't been making them and I think she said it was because of staffing issues. Thanks to the virus and people now refusing to work because the government is giving them too much in unemployment, this is the case with way too many restaurants, bakeries, etc. That's my subtle jab at the current government and what they're doing to the country lol! So I left without doughnuts BUUUUT I did buy a bag of cookies. The same bag I could have bought at WinCo or Whole Foods. She said basically everything they did that morning was make the cookies for the stores and she watched them leave to take them to the stores. Exciting! I felt all guilty as soon as I bit into one of the cookies but OMFG THEY ARE SO GOOD! Have y'all ever been to a crumbl? If you have one where you live GOOOOO! This places cookies are basically they lower calorie version of Crumbl because some Crumbl cookies have 850 calories in ONE cookie hahahaha! Is it worth it tho? Absolutely lol So are these cookies, but if you are trying to watch your calorie intake then maybe stay away because you can tear through a bag of these with ease. Chocolate crinkle and snickerdoodles are my go-to's! Ooooooh! Ok, y'all, WTF is with the twist ties you used to tie up the bags of cookies? STOP using those! They are literally THE WORST! I'm sure they're cost effective but stop! I'm also sure with selling to those two major grocery stores plus selling them in your bakery that you can absolutely afford to use better ties, ones that we can actually open and reuse vs these where you can't just open them, you have to cut the top of the bag and then basically...the bag is useless after that. I know this sounds petty, but ugh they're they worst! Aside from that, this place is super nice. It's in a very weird location tho, I was surprised by that. It's like the only sit down place on this street. Across from them is a warehouse of some sort, half a block up are homes, it's just seems like it would be better on the north end, or NW Boise, basically anywhere other than where it is lol. The staff is super sweet, the ones that were there lol. I'll definitely be going back. Glad my first experience there was a decent one even if they didn't have doughnuts for my heffa ass hahahaha! The other person there was great though! I was drawn in by the array of unique flavors and vegan options. I had really wanted to get something boozy and vegan, but they only had one flavor on at the moment that fit the bill and I wasn't particularly interested, so I sampled a few of the dairy boozy flavors and went with a vegan non-boozy ice cream for my actual order because a full scoop of dairy ice cream does not sit right in my stomach. I liked the boozy flavors more but that was only because of the flavors offered - the vegan ice cream itself was great, very smooth and creamy, not overly sugary. I got the float season vegan ice cream: blackberry ice cream with salted dark chocolate. I did still enjoy this flavor a lot. I really liked the crunchy bittersweet dark chocolate bits. I didn't get anything to drink but I was kind of tempted. The ice cream + beer or wine flights looked interesting. I don't know wine well enough to comment, but it looked like they had a good selection of beer with quality brewers and a good variety of beer types. This is technically a Warehouse Food Hall vendor but it's only accessible from the street outside the food hall. I wasted a few minutes wandering around the food hall trying to find it before I looked outside. They have a fair amount of seating inside and outside.
