The prices are very reasonable and they have many options for both gluten full and gluten free. I tried the scone and he tried the banana bread. One of the yummiest scones I have ever had! I had used their online order process several times before without any issues, so I assumed the order had been accepted and their were no questions or concerns with the order. When I arrived to pick up the cheesecakes, I was told that the order could not be completed because they require five days' notice. However, I never received an email, text message, or phone call informing me that the order could not be fulfilled. In the past, I had received messages from them with questions about an order or notification when they were unable to complete one. The situation became even more disappointing when I asked to speak with a manager. I showed her that the online ordering page was unclear about the required advance notice and suggested adding specific information for customers ordering cheesecakes. I also explained that I had not received any notification about the issue and suggested sending customers a text message when an order cannot be fulfilled. Rather than acknowledging the communication problem or apologizing for the inconvenience, the manager placed the responsibility entirely on me, stating that I should have called to confirm the order. She also said that, because they are a small team of three, they do not have time to communicate with customers by phone or text. I understand that small businesses have staffing limitations, but the lack of communication and the manager's dismissive response were unacceptable. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed, and after this experience, feel less likely to return despite their awesome pastries. (UPDATE: the following day I noticed they had updated their online order request to include "7 day notice requested for all orders". So, even though the manager/owner did not accept any accountability to to situation and acted completely unsympathetic to the outcome, she must have realized that they could do something on their side to keep this from happening again to someone else in the future).

When we…read morearrived, it was absolutely pouring, and being from the Pacific Northwest, we didn't think twice about waiting in line .As soon as the rain let up, though, the line grew dramatically, so we were glad we had stuck it out. The bakery itself is small, but the display case is anything but. It's packed with beautifully crafted pastries, each one more tempting than the last. Honestly, everything looked worth trying. We settled on the Rose Croissant and the Lox Croissant Sandwich, and both were excellent. The rose croissant was a standout with the rose flavor delicate yet present in every bite, which is rare for floral pastries. It never became overpowering or faded into the background or tasted artificial. The true star of the meal, however, was the lox croissant sandwich. It was absolutely stellar and one of the best savory pastries we've had in a long time. The coffee was just okay, but that was fine because the pastries completely stole the show. The staff worked quickly despite the steady stream of customers. There is a bit of seating both indoors and outdoors, although most people seemed to be taking their orders to go ,perhaps because of the weather. If you're visiting, come for the pastries. They're absolutely worth the wait.

If you're like us and like specialty coffee flavors like salted caramel, lavender, honey, etc., this probably isn't the spot for your coffee fix. That said... the pastries are absolutely worth the visit! Everything we tried was beautifully made and delicious. Just a heads up: it gets very crowded and busy, so I'd recommend arriving early or going in with a little patience. It's not typically a quick grab-and-go stop, but the pastry treats make it worth slowing down for!

The Dolce Co. is a Boise-based macaron company "dedicated to making and sharing sweetness from…read morescratch." They are available via local pop-ups. They can also be ordered and shipped throughout the US. During the pandemic, Molly Renaldo found herself buying a daily macaron from her local coffee shop. She decided to use her extra time at home to learn how to make them herself. Her first pop up was in January 2021. I discovered this business at Payette Brewing Co.'s Holiday Market on 12/2/21. There were six flavors available: Hot Chocolate, Snickerdoodle,Candy Cane, Maple Bacon, Strawberry Chocolate, and Lucky Charm. For $12, I bought one of each. These macarons are sweeter than any I've had before. Personally, I prefer a macaron that is a little less sweet and more strongly flavored. But the interesting flavors will appeal to others. The macarons are nicely packaged. The two pack is the perfect size for a stocking stuffer. My favorite flavors were Hot Chocolate and Snickerdoodle. My second favorite flavors were. Candy Cane and Maple Bacon, though I couldn't taste the bacon. My least favorite flavors were Strawberry Chocolate and Lucky Charm. Both were overly sweet, to the point that I struggled to pick up any other flavors. When I closed my eyes and took a bite of each, they were barely distinguishable from one of them. Lucky Charms was my favorite cereal as a child, but it doesn't works as a macaron. To keep track of The Dolce Co.'s pop-up schedule, like and follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

They always have such a big variety of goodies. Walking in, it's hard not to get overwhelmed by all the goodies, colors and displays. We went straight to the display counter to look at the truffles and to see if they had the Dubai bar. We were the only ones in the store. It was quite weird not to see a sales associate for a good amount of time. We located the bar, she decided against the bar since she can get one local for the same price and almost double in size. We walked around the store and looked at all the fun stuff. I love how everything is so organized and clean. When you have multiple customers through out the day going in and out of a bin, it's nice to see that it's clean. I personally don't like candy in bulk cause of potential germ contamination. But honestly, I have boughten candy from this joint and I have never had any issues since they keep it so clean. If your looking for a small sweet treat, Lolli and Pops would be a great store to grab your goodies at. Our even a fun gift for someone that likes sweets. They have a little of everything which is nice! Customer service wasn't the best when we were there. But we didn't stress about it. Maybe next time customer service will be better.

Headed to gym event, but needed doughnuts haha! Did they have them? Nnnnnnope! Made me very sad. This place sells their cookies in WinCo and I think Whole Foods. Their cookies are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I could easily eat a bag of 8 in probably half a day lol. Then I'd get all depressed because my bikini wouldn't fit right :( So when I asked about the doughnuts she said they haven't been making them and I think she said it was because of staffing issues. Thanks to the virus and people now refusing to work because the government is giving them too much in unemployment, this is the case with way too many restaurants, bakeries, etc. That's my subtle jab at the current government and what they're doing to the country lol! So I left without doughnuts BUUUUT I did buy a bag of cookies. The same bag I could have bought at WinCo or Whole Foods. She said basically everything they did that morning was make the cookies for the stores and she watched them leave to take them to the stores. Exciting! I felt all guilty as soon as I bit into one of the cookies but OMFG THEY ARE SO GOOD! Have y'all ever been to a crumbl? If you have one where you live GOOOOO! This places cookies are basically they lower calorie version of Crumbl because some Crumbl cookies have 850 calories in ONE cookie hahahaha! Is it worth it tho? Absolutely lol So are these cookies, but if you are trying to watch your calorie intake then maybe stay away because you can tear through a bag of these with ease. Chocolate crinkle and snickerdoodles are my go-to's! Ooooooh! Ok, y'all, WTF is with the twist ties you used to tie up the bags of cookies? STOP using those! They are literally THE WORST! I'm sure they're cost effective but stop! I'm also sure with selling to those two major grocery stores plus selling them in your bakery that you can absolutely afford to use better ties, ones that we can actually open and reuse vs these where you can't just open them, you have to cut the top of the bag and then basically...the bag is useless after that. I know this sounds petty, but ugh they're they worst! Aside from that, this place is super nice. It's in a very weird location tho, I was surprised by that. It's like the only sit down place on this street. Across from them is a warehouse of some sort, half a block up are homes, it's just seems like it would be better on the north end, or NW Boise, basically anywhere other than where it is lol. The staff is super sweet, the ones that were there lol. I'll definitely be going back. Glad my first experience there was a decent one even if they didn't have doughnuts for my heffa ass hahahaha! Thanks for reading, Yelpiiteees! Cheers!
