Service is typically good and my experience, at least for lunch, is you can get right in without a wait. The food is tasty but portions are small. This was a really neat dining experience and my first try at a tapas-like restaurant. The menu can be overwhelming and it's a bit challenging to know how much of something to order. But the wait staff is very helpful in directing and advising you. If you're someone who likes a traditional plated entree this wouldn't be the place for you. But I see it working so well for old friends catching up over drinks and snacking on things through the evening. We ordered the dip, taste, and savor board. That helped to take the guesswork out of it. I specifically enjoyed the Quattro puffs, edamame hummus, beer cheese, and filet bites. I'm also not a Brussel sprout person but theirs were excellent. I had a date night here for my first time in Carmel. I'm a big fan of tapas and small plates, especially for dates, so this place was right up my alley. I absolutely loved the concept of the boards. We ordered the Savor and Taste boards. All of it was excellent. I specifically really liked the whipped feta to spread on toast with chopped cucumbers. I also loved the Porterhouse Teasers. I'm a little baffled by the lower ratings for Divvy! My boyfriend and I stopped in on a whim one night and loved it! They are now offering "Tours" which are their most ordered items grouped into a tour. You can choose from Taste, Savor, or Vegan! We loved that idea so we chose the Taste Tour. It included the tenderloin, seared tuna, corn Crème brûlée, hush puppies, and pretzel bites with beer cheese. I loveee the corn Crème brûlée! It was easily my favorite! The flavors are rich, but it's such a fresh take on a classic dish. I also enjoyed the pretzels and cheese. Beer cheese was fantastic! My boyfriend raved about the tenderloin and tuna! So I'd say those were hits as well! We ordered the Peachy Keen to drink (which comes in either a half or full carafe). It was very citrusy and easy to drink! Finally, we were so excited to find these adorable little caramel candies as our parting gift! They are made in house and are given free of charge. I love that idea, and they were so delicious too! This is probably my favorite restaurant for dinner in Carmel. The food is always impeccable, the atmosphere is unique, and the staff always makes sure you are having a good time! I first discovered this place a few years ago went I went with friends for work and I have been coming back ever since. I love the small plates/tapas concept and Divvy does a wonderful job at the idea. Their menu is organized by category (cheese, veggies, chicken, beef) and all the plates are shareable. Some are bigger that could be shared by 4-6, some are better served between two people. Ask your waiter for help and they will walk you through the whole process. My favorites are: - Corn Creme Brulee - Beef Empanadas - Beer Cheese - Brussel Sprouts - Banana Potstickers - S'mores Brulee The best tip is to go for happy hour (4-6 everyday) because they have a good selection of food that is half off. It can be a bit pricey of a meal so if you go then it will save you a few dollars. They also have great lunch options. We were a group of three and we had two of their $20 tasting "flights" - this is plate with about 5 different items on each flight. The three of us liked all 10 items! However, the pork tenderloin with red peppers was our favorite. So we ordered a full order of that one as well - it was about $15(?) for that. Their desserts were great as well. We celebrated my wife's birthday at Divvy. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with our quality of service and food. Our servers name was Everett. Nice guy at first. Tried cracking some jokes, some not so appropriate, but slip ups happen. That wasn't a big deal. First, I ordered a tequila neat. Asked Everett if Divvy carried a Resposado tequila which he responded with, "no, we don't have that here." Which, I thought was odd and didn't sound right, so I explained what a blanco, Resposado and anjeo tequila was to him and then he realized what I was asking for and did end up offering me a Resposado, like I asked. Not a big deal. Something a little more training in spirits couldn't fix. Then, I asked for a lime. He repeated back to me, lemon or lime? Lime, I confirmed, and he still brought me lemon. Why would I want lemon with my tequila? Again, not a big deal. Just a little irritating. Then we order the food. It all came out at different times and we were holding on an order of the porterhouse steak. We let Everett know, and an order came out shortly after. A few minutes later, another order of porterhouse comes out by a food runner. When we tell him we're recieved our order, he looked so confused and just stood there awkwardly. So, I had to explain to him that we had recieved our correct order, so that one he brought to us was a mistake. I explained to him what probably happened is that someone probably ran a different tables order to us when we asked for ours. The runner confirmed my statement and thanked me for clearing that up. Where was his manager and why was I having to explain to the employee what's going on ? Next, Everett comes out. Wonders why we turned down the porterhouse, and we told him because we had already recieved our order, which he would have known if he followed up with his two- bite check up, but he didn't. When he left and came back, Everett wasn't kinda nice, kinda funny Everett anymore. He said he to pay for the extra porterhouse order, which made us feel guilty when it wasn't our fault in the first place. I'm not sure if he was trying to up his tip percentage with us by using guilt, or he was just now in a bad mood from his mistakes throughout the evening. We got an order of fried goat cheese. It wasn't good. The flavors did not mesh well leaving a bitter taste. We ate half of one piece and told Everett we were not happy with the dish and explained in detail as to why. He didn't say much and started to walk away until I picked up the plate and told him to take it because we were not interested in eating the dish. Mind you, we left 90% of that dish untouched. He started coming to our table less and less. Dishes stacked and stayed stacked our entire visit. I understand he was not having a good night and I get that. We're all human. That's okay, but as a server he needs to focus on trying to change our experience to a positive one, even if the product standards weren't up to par, but instead, he chose to basically disappear and avoid us. He needs training in that department, too. Lastly, we got our checks. I was billed for both orders of the porterhouse and the goat cheese that we didn't eat and have removed from the table. Restaurant 101, if a guest doesn't like, eat, and returns the food, that's considered a comp. Now, if we would have left the food on the table and/or ate most of it and then told him we didn't like it, I would have paid for it because we ate it and/or didn't return in. And all of that wasn't the greatest part of our experience, but when I explained to Everett that when a guest complains about a food, doesn't EAT the food and had it sent back to the kitchen, that is a comp, but I told Everett that I didn't blame him for it and that I'd be more than happy to speak with the manager and explain that to him as well. All the while, he's rolling his eyes, and responds with, "He's not here, but I can give him a call..." and walks off... WHY IS THERE NO MANAGER ON DUTY??? IT IS A SATURDAY NIGHT?! This is the restaurant industry?? Then, it all clicked. There's no manager on duty. That explains everything. Poor server training all around and no captain to run the ship. On a Saturday night... that's just asking for a disaster. Divvy, our hopes were high. I don't blame your staff, because they're not getting the support and training they need to be on the floor, but with no MOD, how would you even know that? If you had an MOD, possibly doing table touches, you could have prevented this poor rating. This is a restaurant. Not only should there always be a MOD, but there should definitely be one or even multiple on a Saturday night. Again, restaurant 101. Please work on getting some better managers in there that care and can train your staff accordingly. If you start there, things will gradually get better for you, which will create a better experience for your guests. read more

I like Divvy. My bank account does not. Recently went and had the crab stuffed avocado. Really liked it. Now granted, I'd eat almost anything out of an avocado, but this was really good. I skeptical about the sauce at first, but it was actually a perfect accompaniment. For dessert, I had the s'mores brûlée. My friend got the regular creme brûlée and I was shocked that mine seemed like 5 times as big as hers (I am NOT complaining). It was very tasty. Let me start off by saying my mouth is watering just thinking of my lunch I had there yesterday. Some friends and I were wanting to try a restaurant none of us had been and Divvy was decided upon. When we first sat down, we were given cucumber water or regular tapwater. The cucumber water was a huge hit at our table. Our server did take a few minutes to come over to us and while we were looking at the menu we were extremely confused. When she came over and explained it to us it all made perfect sense. I started with a Nongria. It was non-alcoholic, tart, extremely tasty, and pretty to look at! While we were looking at the menu we started with the Elote corn. It was super delicious. The pita type bread that came with it was one of the table favorites. Then we dug in and got the savory plate and added wasabi deviled eggs and fried polenta. The wasabi deviled eggs (i'm sure not the real name) were really good. And a bit spicy. All of us loved the fried polenta and the sauce that came with it. The brussels sprouts and whipped feta cheese were also a table favorite. The shrimp and steak were OK. Normally our table goes for medium for steaks, but we didn't realize it would come out medium rare. We wished our server would have asked how we would like the steak prepared. After eating all of that we were extremely full, but there was one thing left on the menu that we really wanted to try. We ordered the fried goat cheese. And honestly we were really disappointed. I believe it was around $12 for four pieces and none of us loved it. (So I'd pass on that one!) We didn't ask for a dessert menu since we were extremely stuffed. Good solid food! Love the concept of a small plate restaurant so you can try alllll the things! Went here with some friends during Devour Indy and so glad we did. Got the vegetarian board with guacamole dip, Buffalo cauliflower, blistered Brussel sprouts, black bean taco, squash and potato tots and vegan cashew cheese spread(YUM). The cheese spread was actually my favorite thing on this board although I really enjoyed everything. My friend also had a board as well and she really enjoyed hers. This also was a lot of food, I was pleasantly surprised at how much food we got! Really hard to not order everything on the menu since everything was looked and sounded so good. Would say this is a great place to go if you don't know what you want to eat for dinner since they have almost everything for my kind of diet ranging from gluten free to vegan options and everything in between. Divvy is a "small plate" restaurant, which means you can pick several small dishes to share. They have a variety of choices, ranging from vegan to steak. Everything is designed to be shared. My fiancé and I visited here to celebrate our engagement, and not only did the owners and staff take note that we were approaching a new stage in our life, but they personally made a point to contribute a meaningful memory for us. Disappointing. That's how I would describe my latest meal at Divvy. This was the third time my wife and I brought friends to dine with us at Divvy and both prior visits were 5 stars! But something seemed off as dishes we had tried before weren't as good as we remembered and one of the new ones was just poorly conceived. I will say that most of the things I ordered tasted pretty good. Maybe a 4 star. But when I tried a number of items my tablemates ordered, I found the flavors too one note / bland or slightly inconsistently balanced. The killer for me was the "Duck Drummies". They were supposed to have a Thai flavor, so I was expecting something with a bit of heat. What I got was a soy reduction sauce that concentrated the saltiness to a point that every one at my table agreed that it was too salty. When I called the waitress over to see if they were brined because they were extremely salty, her response was that they were supposed to be salty and spicy. Seemed like she considered the matter closed. Sure, the drummies were moist and tender, but the sauce was terrible. We also had some trouble getting our waitress's attention. I cut her some slack since she was training someone new, but she wouldn't look our way as she passed us, so it was hard to get her attention. For the price we paid, I expected quality service like I get at other comparably priced places. Just another disappointment. I will give them a three because my first two visits were outstanding. Maybe I just needed to order something different to have a delicious meal and a waitress who was focused on us instead of training. I came to Divvy for lunch today and I was delighted with the lunch menu. I ordered Sliders, Fries and Brussell Sprouts (A weird combo I know) and I left extremely full. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely helpful and nice. They have a great Devour Indy deal so I would highly recommend stopping by to check it out. It was the first time for my husband and daughter trying the tapas style of food portions, so was a bit worried about how they would react. But all was well and the variety on the menu just made it a perfect eat out moment for us. Being this is a small plates dining experience and we started with white wine, we ordered cheese fondue and cream cheese wontons for our first course. The cheese for the fondue tasted like a very floury béchamel sauce given no attention. As for the cream cheese wontons... I love tapas bars and tiny-plates restaurants, and Divvy is kind of like that: each plate you order is meant to be shared between two people. It's a great date place for that reason! It gives you something to talk about because you're experiencing a new dish at the same time. We ordered the beef empanadas, corn creme brûlée, and the lobster quesadilla. It doesn't sound like much, but each dish was super rich, so we ended up stopping after three plates. Our server was awesome and suggested that we order one or two things at a time, finish those, and if we want to order more then add it to the tab. That was a smart move because we probably would have ordered six or seven things, then regretted ordering so much food! On a side note: The chairs on their patio are super comfortable! "Over 21" put a picture of a wine bar in my mind. Yet when I was finally able to shed my "under 21"s and check out Divvy for lunch I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the offering on all fronts: snacks, lunch combos, "fowl food", seafood, red meat, pork (all have at least a page on the menu)... and that is before you even start browsing through wine, cocktails (Ederflower looks like a spinach health drink yet is so much happier in reality!) and local brews (Sun King, Upland). Corn creme brûlée has been praised by reviewers for a good reason (robust burned sugar over sweet and spicy creaminess). I am here to sing the praises to yogurt cucumber soup. Dill-infused freshness on a hot day! Lemon-cucumber water helps along the same lines. Cherry cloud desert was good, but more standard than the rest of the meal. Solid quality coffee. The patio space is well protected from the sun by multiple umbrellas and overlooks well groomed Carmel City center. Can not wait to come back for more extensive tour of the menu. read more

Loved Divvy! I'm not gonna lie I was hesitant to go here but loved it! We were in a hurry so we called ahead and didn't have to wait. We told our server as well and no kidding we were in and out of there. We split the Mac n cheese, pork egg rolls, and beef empanadas. They were all good but I could go without the empanadas next time. Mac m cheese was my fav of the three we tried tonight. Penny was our server and she was fantastic. Overall, I really enjoyed myself last night. I'll just point out a few things that stood out to me- The menu is a little intimidating at first. I think just picking 2 or 3 items per person is just perfect. I was relatively full after 2 dips and 1 app which was split between 3 people but we still ordered 2 more dishes because we wanted to try more. On Wednesday nights they have half off carafe cocktails for $7. I got the sassy sangria which was great. For dinner, we got the feta dip, olive tapenade, goat cheese truffles, smokey fries, shrimp dish, and a warm brownie for dessert. All were excellent and had a lot of different flavors. Our server was super attentive. Maybe sometimes maybe a little too attentive. I know that sounds super picky but we constantly were getting interrupted so she could give us a new plate or see how the food was. On the other hand, she was really knowledgable about the menu and had a recommendation for every page which was super handy. I also took notice that it was all women in the restaurant. It's definitely a great place for a girls night out but I was a little surprised that more men in general weren't there. Kind of funny. Revisited here on recommendation of a friend about their great patio with heaters as a great spot during Covid. We were unable to get a reservation on said patio and opted for inside seating. Frankly, the patio was now covered in plastic and had both fans and heaters going, so I'm not sure the safety factor was much different in or out. Anyway, the reason we came, the great food. We opted for the smoked pots appetizer which were a variation of French fries tossed in bacon. Delicious. We each had a "tour" which was a plate of 5 items with 3-4 bites of each. Mine was the "savor" and included an apple Brie cracker. A feta spread, shrimp, porterhouse bites and blistered Brussels sprouts. I do not like Brussels sprouts but these were so good! Ample amount of food on the tour plus fun to share with dining partner items from each tour. He opted for the"nosh" tour featuring tuna nachos, hush puppies, deviled eggs, tenderloin filet and amazing corn cream brûlée. We each had a wine flight, one red, one white. Great value. Service was impeccable and staff were cautious to space people at tables with distance between. So many more things to try! Must return more often. read more
