This totally farm-to-table restaurant is truly focused on delivering fresh produce and responsible food options. Highly recommended! We have been visiting this establishment for years. Back then, they were smaller, did not have a full liquor license, and were still absolutely perfection on a plate. Delicious seafood dishes, with stunning veggies, handmade specialties, etc... which always included a chalk board list of farms/food purveyors/suppliers. It's cool to see where your ingredients are coming from! Our most recent visit was a last minute Saturday night decision. Despite being so busy, they were able to accommodate us with 20 minutes notice. We arrived to a packed place, with people waiting, but out table was ready as promised! We sat down, and reviewed the COCKTAIL list. We were very happily surprised to see this featured now, as before they had beer and wine only. Then we started looking around at all the changes, and realized this is the same District, but in a slightly different (but close by the old) location! We had an "AHHHHA moment" for sure! Haha! We aren't exactly locals! Our server was Jaclyn and she was lovely. Caring, efficient, and sweet, she made our experience even better! After deciding on a bartender's choice with Mezcal for my husband, and a coconut tequila cocktail featured for myself, we decided on food. RAMPS! They had ramps featured on two dishes, so we knew we had to get one. We got the charred ramp plate. Served over a whipped lemon ricotta, and also a house made bread. So "ramp forward"... the ramps really came through and we loved every bite. We also shared the Shrimp n Grits. These were topped with delicious thick cut bacon squares, fresh scallions, and an egg yolk. Not a big dish, but definitely perfection. We fished with a shared pizza- Great Balls of Fire. Their pizza crust is absolutely exquisite. Like... OMG. The flavor was simple yet everything I would want. It was topped with arugula, and meatball shavings. We enjoyed it! We ended the night with a Gran Marnier soufflé . It was their special dessert of the night and it did NOT disappoint. 10/10! Probably one of the most memorable soufflés to date! The district is one of my favorite places to eat in Stuart. It's has a creative menu that changes to match the seasons. They currently have a fall salad that had some of my favorite fall vegetables including acorn squash roasted to perfection. I love to go on Wednesdays to take advantage of the half priced bottles, they have a fantastic selection. Make sure to get the street corn it is my absolute favorite. We used to live District Table and have recommended it to many of our friends. Unfortunately, it's been hit or miss lately and several of our friends have quit going there after multiple bad experiences, mostly food related. You can go there twice in one week and order the same exact thing but somehow they are very different, one being great and the other poor. read more

In town visiting friends and decided to skip the waterfront view and opt for better food instead! We got it. Started with raw oysters from Canada. I don't do oysters unless they are cooked Rockefeller-style with all of the things to disguise the fact that I'm consuming oysters. Those who had them said they hit the spot. We shared the smoked wahoo dip and yellowfin tuna. The dip was pretty good (mostly fish instead of cheese or cream) paired with a crisp salted sheet of cracker. Buuuut the tuna overshadowed it. This was so so good. If you like poke, order this. Loved the cucumbers in it. I had the blackboard salad and it was actually my favorite dish of the whole meal. Fresh veggies with goat cheese was the winning combo for me. Perfectly distributed vinegarette. Tasted the brussel sprouts salad and the egg on top was a nice touch. I ordered the blackened gulf shrimp and grits (medium plate) with a side of the street corn (advertised as an app). I'm a street corn connoisseur an this was excellent. It always saves really well - I took some home. I didn't love the shrimp and grits but I think that's because I lived in Charleston and have had better. Plus it was a bit on the spicy side. Made for good leftovers though. Husband had the corn chowder and liked it. His description was "interesting" - it had pork belly "croutons" on the top and had tiny clams and potato chunks. It was tasty but was less of a soup and more of a clam/potato/pork belly in cream sauce. I tried the mushroom pasta and it was a good thing to order if you are going the vegan route. Fried chicken was fantastic...and of course you can't go wrong with mac and cheese side. Great flavor. Super crispy. Also tried the prime teres major steak and truffle fries. This was a nice combination. The creamed spinach it came with was just OK - but it serves its purpose to have a bit of green on the plate ;) I'd be remiss if I didn't rave about the drinks. It was Thursday and half priced bottles of wine but I had to try the cocktails. Server (sorry I didn't remember her name! She was fabulous!!) recommeded the Pink Snapper with tequila. Enjoyed the salty rim on this. Was about to order another but realized I should try a different one since there were so many fun ones to choose from. Decided to follow up with mezcal: Ring My Belle. This had bell pepper in it. So interesting and different. I loved it. So much so - I ordered another. If you're curious about it, you should definitely try it! No room for dessert but I hear the burger comes with a tiny milkshake - so of course I have to try that next time. read more

We really wanted to like this place, but our experience wasn't great. The street corn was excellent along with the biscuit and jam. Both my husband and I ordered entrees, and I was served mine rather quickly, but my husband's never came. We had to ask the waiter about it, and when he went to the kitchen, it looked like there was some sort of error and they started cooking his at that point. It was a bit upsetting because we were there for our anniversary and wanted to enjoy the meal together, and his meal was on the expensive side. I was a little surprised when the bill came that there wasn't any compensation for their error, like a drink on the house or something. Nevertheless we will try again as this place has a great ambiance and it's nice to have that in our area. Many of the other dishes that were being served to the tables looked appetizing! read more

So this was our second visit , first time We did not have a great experience, food was ok, service was spotty at best , ordered drinks which they didn't bring out until some of our food actually came out, very poor timing , which they didn't seem to care about, So we decided to give it another chance, Sat inside , back bench your sink down way below the table, and I'm tall , but you still need to reach up to table. Server took our drink order , walked back and forth multiple times , finally brought a martini that was order , and side my beer should be out shorty !!?!? Unreal, another 5 minutes go by as server walked by a few more times , then finally brought the beer And I said we will have our check , if it takes that long to get a couple drinks Not waiting , especially when the place Was not even 1/2 full. All right, so we went here and were pleased with the menu. The objections were twofold: the martinis were extremely scant as were the wine pours. The wait between servings were ridiculous-- a way to ensure a bigger alcohol bill. Also--a third complaint-- I had to ask for salt and pepper. Kiss of death for me--the chef decides the level of seasoning I want. BS! We left a ten percent tip as a way of expressing our discontent ( although we had complained to the waitress and "owner?" ) "Oh the glasses were small, " was the response. So get bigger glasses already. The waitress came running out after us as we exited , asking if everything was ok. We said yes and walked on. It was embarrassing. The business should feel guilty about our complaints because it impacts the wait staff. We eat out 5 or 6 times a week and resent the restaurant "cheaping " out in us for an ounce or two of liquor. read more

Initially we had a great waiter with some solid suggestions, but he was just "helping" our actual server who honestly was pretty terrible. We haven't been back since they moved to their now location which is such an improvement. Service was great. Tuna Poke bowl was the star of the evening- seriously near perfect. My steak was beautiful but Keith's orders were a bit disappointing. The octopus was covered with so much whipped potatoes and chorizo that you couldn't even taste or find the octopus. It was tasty, but the octopus got lost. The shrimp and grits were good but something wasn't there. Still, even with those criticisms- we love this place. Some friends recommended District Table so we decided to come here for our annual Christmas date. Service was excellent as was the food. The shrimp and grits was delicious but only came with three shrimp - one more would have made it perfect for sharing. Blue crab hushpuppies were a bit disappointing as I never tasted any crab. My husband had the The Red Grouper entree was very good and I ordered the super food salad along with two stone crab claws and that made for a perfect dinner. The wine selection was outstanding. I came up to the area to visit someone and we wanted a nice place to come to dinner. We had the sweet tea fried chicken entree. The homemade biscuit with the homemade strawberry jam was delicious! The oysters and the selection was fantastic! Best oysters I've had in Florida, hands down! Next time we are up in the area, we will consider another stop in! I just had dinner at the District. Our waiter was great and very professional. The ambiance was enjoyable with live music playing outside on the deck. The food, Deviled eggs ap and a corn salad was just ok. I had the Flounder which was uneventful at best. Other had the Shrimp grits that was "Eh" The food was ok. Not horrible. But not great. We had a good time The kicker though was the $21 for a Casa Amigos on the rocks. I had 2 and was blown away I was charged $42!!! That is higher than New York, Chicago, LA prices. This is a mid line tequila that goes for about $50 a bottle. I was stunned. So Dinner for three was $220 And the table had only two alcoholic drinks. I recommend The Grill, Taste, Taylor Beach House, The Grove, Kork Over the District. I'm still in shock and I don't mind paying for good value and Quality Take your hard earned money elsewhere. Seeing a working kitchen gives you a really good appreciation of how much goes into a successful busy night. Head chef was on top of everything. I've been coming here since it opened each year that I visit my family. At first, we loved this restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere. It felt easy. Relaxed. I remember having a really great romantic date night with a lovely dinner here. Now, it's changed. The vibe is very rushed and loud. It's busy and feels really pretentious. I think the prices increased if they added more expensive options to the menu. We went recently and it was so loud and overcrowded. The waiter was so rushy and just not friendly...just fast and kinda know it all attitude. The food was not as good as it was in the past either. I got the grouper in the chowder sauce. It's an expensive dish. It ended up being so bland and not very filling. I can't believe I spent so much money on it. I needed to salt and pepper it like crazy to create some flavor. The tuna appetizer was really tiny and drenched in a tasteless vinaigrette. I went to a different restaurant around the corner and paid half the price for a tuna appetizer and got like 5 times more tuna. Buyers regret after coming here. We probably won't return. read more

I've been staying on Hutchinson Island for a month and a half. Most reviews of restaurants in the area have 4 and half stars. Sooo overrated. This is the first real 5 star restaurant in the area. Every dish we tasted was authentic and original. I'm a foodie and this is what a real restaurant should be like. Our waitress, Stephanie was awesome. And Wednesday is half price on bottles of wine!!!
