I'm usually pretty cautious about rating a restaurant with 5 stars. But I would give this one 10 if I could. I was with a party of 5 people, all of whom had the 6-oz filet (one had Wagyu beef which, while good, wasn't much better than the corn fed beef). Our steaks were fabulous! I commented to my friend that you forget what a really good steak tastes like until you have one. The sides were meals in themselves. We ordered potatoes au gratin, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and the best was the crab fried rice (I could have eaten a bowl of that as my meal!). As with most steakhouses, the sides are extra. However, each side served two to three people. So we all shared everything and were stuffed. The decor is intimate and quiet. The waitress was wonderfully attentive and not overbearing. The food, though, is the draw. Highly recommend. A nice place for special occasions or a regular place for those with a bit more discretionary income. read more

Upon getting sat at a little table in an awkward area, I asked for a different table that was more comfortable. They were accommodating but had to wait an extra 10 minutes. Got sat at a booth with a bigger table since I usually like to order a lot of food and not feel so limited on space The server was very nice and brought out champagne which was a nice start to the dinner and very much appreciated it. Had the gambas large shrimp dish as an app and it was good. Ordered the filet mignon steak with chimichurri and the steak was decent but the chimichurri was the worst I've ever had. I had to scrape off that chimichurri because it was ruining my steak. Was saved with the side of roasted garlic on the plate and smeared that on my steak instead. The hostesses and the waiter were great, and we enjoyed being served by him. The seating arrangements were fairly comfortable and the atmosphere was festive. We had a variety of dishes, some were excellent and some were disappointing. The fillet mignon and the lobster tail got good reviews from two of our guests. The chicken dish was bland. One of the small pieces of filet mignon in the filet medallions was filled with grizzle. Overall, the meal was good, but not as good as the prices would dictate. read more

Yes, absolutely would recommend! I would suggest happy hour if it's your first time because they have great prices and a huge selection of snacks to try before going for a full meal at dinner. You can sit outside by the water and small water fall, which makes you feel like you're not in a strip mall. Lol the service is great and they know their menu is really well. The old-fashioned was perfect as always have the kyle G's restaurant and again draft beer was a good selection. My husband thought the wedge salad tasted a little sour. Four of us went Wed 2-4-26 looking forward to another great experience. We went directly to the bar area to the last table beside the bar. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one ever acknowledged that we were there. We decided to go back to eat in the main restaurant we asked a young man to be seated. He referred us to the front desk. No one at the front desk so we waited about 5 m and by that time we walked out. We had a wonderful meal at the Blue Marlin. There were empty tables and must have been a management problem. The last three times we visited Stuart we always had five star service and food. read more

Started out with the lamb empanadas, OH MYY GOODNESS, definitely have to try them as they were literally out of this world!!!!! I ordered a sirloin... was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! My friend ordered a ribeye and however, it was not cooked to perfect perfection... at a steakhouse, I believe the main thing you need to get right is temperature of a steak! The fact my friend had to send it back and get a new one was mind blowing to me! It's not like it's outback or Texas roadhouse prices. ( not knocking them at all) Also ordered the mac & cheese, which was OK... I don't feel it was all that much to brag about honestly. Had an Anniversary dinner here. They decorated our table and gave us an Anniversary card. Nice touch. Food was good. Steak seafood and sides. Huge potato was a little over cooked Brussel sprouts were fantastic. Service was fair. Friendly but t asked for bread and pepper and our waitress forgot on both occasions. Horrible service and food. We arrived 5 minutes early. They would not seat us until 10 minutes past the reservation saying they were getting the table ready. I went to use the bathroom and it ended up I saw our table already set, the wait was for no reason. The server was polite but you could tell she was just going through the motions. We put in our order for appetizer which came out in a decent time. Our entrees? We were there two hours before they came out. People around us who had come an hour after we arrived had gotten their entrees and checked out before we got ours. When we finally got our food mine was overcooked and not warm, my friends both had cold meals. We were supposed to get mashed potato puree and were given a few smashed potatoes. When we asked about it the waitress said they ran out. We asked to see a manager who made up excuses.. but just lied about it all. She offered dessert, but we were already there 2.75 hours and it was late after a workday. My wife and I still had a 40 minute drive home. Bill was $380, no complaint on that, but just horrible service and food for that money. They should be ashamed. read more

First off I want to thank Kyle G for being so generous as offering up to $49 towards and entree for a veteran. The staff was also very acknowledging and gracious towards us especially myself being the Veteran. We had a reservation for 8:15 pm but we're able to sit at a high top in the bar area early. The servers were very attentive, even a little too attentive. We generally avoid the finer dining establishments, not just due to price but more the up selling pressure and constant fawning over you while dining. Some folks enjoy that and are fairly needy in life in general, but having worked many years in the business and getting my Bachelor Degree in restaurant management I'm on the lower end of needy. The food and presentation of plates was spot on. But there was the overlying up selling and suggestive selling which is the reason we choose to avoid finer dining establishments. Suggesting Caymus Cab as on option that cost more for a glass than a family of 4 could afford for dinner is too much. Sure, if we wanted to splurge we could certainly afford, but I would hope any close to me would shake some sense into me as I never want to be that entitled, no matter how much money I make. But that's just me and I get that! Overall it's a GREAT addition to the downtown Stuart restaurant scene. That location was empty for some time after the previous business closed around the time of Covid. It was great to see how management improved the space and based on how busy they were it's clearly very popular for the area. Today, Mother's Day 5/11..I had reservations at Oak & Ember off Becker Rd..11:30 am ..the waitress was very attentive..our food arrived 12:50 pm! The food was cold, very badly done..look at these potatoes! Plus, the orders arrived at different times..Why? I had one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a long time here. I usually expect a certain level of quality when paying premium prices, like $90 for a steak, but this place failed on every single level. The service was awful from start to finish. It took thirty minutes just to get our drinks, and when my drink finally arrived it was wrong because they ran out of the vodka I originally ordered, which took another fifteen minutes to correct; my drink didn't show up until after the appetizers had arrived. My guest ordered a rum and coke but received a glass of straight rum with no mixer and had to ask for the coke separately. The food was just as bad. If you are going to charge $90 for a steak with no sides included, it needs to be perfect, but this was not. The meat was cold, completely lacked flavor, and there is no way it was the prime grade they advertise. If you have been to places like Capitol Grille or 1000 North, you know what a real prime steak tastes like, and this was a distant, poor relation to those establishments. The worst part came when the bill arrived. Our waitress wrapped the itemized bill around the credit card folder and only handed me the top portion to sign, the part that clearly had a line for a "tip." Even with the awful food and the slow service, I still tipped twenty percent on top of the bill. I got home and realized the gratuity was already INCLUDED in the bill I wasn't shown and was NEVER told, and to add insult to injury, when I checked my credit card statement I saw they had double-billed me for my additional gratuity anyway (I reversed the charges). For a restaurant charging those prices, the atmosphere was also extremely casual with most patrons in shorts and flip flops, making it feel like a diner trying to play dress-up with high-end prices. We had early afternoon reservations for Christmas Eve. 2:00 brunch. When we arrived the hostess started to put us outside , when we said no she said the reservation was made for outside. (We never reserve outside). My husband who made the reservation let her know he would never reserve an outside table. I don't know how this misunderstanding happened.. but hostess had to contemplate it look at her book for several seconds and then said "you're in luck, we can get you inside." Well thank you;-) when we went into the dining room there was one occupied table, everything else approximately 24 tables were empty.. so that's strange. A few minutes later another. A couple was seated right by us.. we were about on top of each other, they were sandwiched in between a wall and us.. we could clearly hear each others conversations.. which really isn't a problem but in an otherwise empty dining room? They requested a table change which was granted.. ok that was the only weird thing and reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Our server Brie was excellent! She gave us great descriptions of the specials , certain menu items, specialty cocktails.. her recommendations were right on! We enjoyed the lamb empanadas, the pear and cerrano appetizers . Both were delish . She recommended the banana bourbon drink to me and it was fantastic. My daughter had the vanilla espresso martini which was also fabulous. My husband had a Negroni which he enjoyed. We ordered the Waygu burger, small filet and the bacon and sage wrapped steak medallions. Everything was incredible. Brie again was fantastic and told us the good days we should come in for certain specials. We really enjoyed our Oak and Ember dining experience and look forward to coming back. read more

WOW! We went to Oak & Ember in June for a girls night out. There were 7 of us. We all had amazing meals that were so delicious and beautifully served. I had the 3 course dinner - a chopped wedge salad which was a perfect size and not overly dressed; the beef tenderloin - cooked to perfection with the grilled asparagus, crab and mashed potatoes. The crab was so yummy!!! For dessert, I had the tiramisu which was a wonderful conclusion to a great meal. Our waitress, Bri, was suburb! Her sense of humor and attention to detail was outstandingly refreshing to experience at a restaurant. She is truly an asset to the Kyle G family of restaurants. read more

I was one of a party of nine on vacation from New York for a long weekend, and our choice for our nice dinner out was Oak and Ember, Stuart. The moment we walked in I knew that the place was a classic steakhouse experience, from the linen tablecloths to the open kitchen that was emitting the most amazing smells and sounds of sizzling steaks. Our service was really top flight, as our server, Summer, was incredibly friendly and remarkably attentive the entire night. Serving 9 big mouth guys from New York can be a handful, but she was on her game and answered all our questions and kept up with the whole way. Pretty much everyone in our party got an appetizer, a main, multiple sides, and a dessert and every one of us enjoyed our meal immensely. The table ordered three massive tomahawk steaks (each serving two) that made six of my friends very happy. I was going to get a ribeye from the menu but Summer suggested a different ribeye that she said was a better cut and a better value. She was spot on, as I enjoyed every bite of my meal. I also very much enjoyed the ham-wrapped pear appetizer, the shredded Brussels sprouts side, and the flan dessert. All in all, it was everything you want from that "special meal" while on vacation. It was a shade pricier than expected, but given how incredible the food was and how absolutely top notch Summer was as a server, none of us minded spending up. Highly recommend. read more

Went here the other night with a couple of friends for a drink and some food. The restaurant itself is very warm and inviting. I wasn't crazy about all the red leather though. I grabbed the grilled vegetable salad with some burrata. It was quite delicious. Warm grilled vegetables with a nice piece of burrata. My friend grabbed some dessert which was a play on a s'more. It was good but I found it to be a little too sweet. The bartender was awesome, friendly, funny and super professional. I would definitely go to try dinner in the future. read more

We'd been waiting all season for this place to open and are so happy to have a Steak Restaurant in beautiful downtown Stuart Florida. We hear a lot of good things about the PSL location and we were really looking forward to eating here. We had made reservations about two weeks before we planned to go so we'd have a good table with a nice window but when we arrived, we were informed that the dining room was full except for one tiny table squeezed in between a bunch of others (facing the outside but not remotely close to a window). The dining room is decorated beautifully but the seating is reminiscent of old Palm Beach where everyone sits very close to each other on a large bench against the wall facing out, and all the regular chairs face the wall. There are 4 top tables tightly scattered throughout the dining room. The room was very communal and not private at all. We aren't snobs but if we really didn't want to share our evening touching elbows with strangers. We opted to sit in the bar area because there were at least a few normal 4 top tables not overly crowded. Most of the tables in the bar are high tops, good for drinks but too small to enjoy a nice meal. So we were seated by the Hostess but given no menus. We waited about 10 minutes to be acknowledge and as a server went rushing by, he said I'll be right there in a minute ok. Sure...no problem. The waiter was very nice but super casual when speaking. Like how are you "guys"? Anyway, we managed to get some menus and had a few questions about a few items. Our waiter seemed surprised that we hadn't been ready to order as soon as he appeared but he dialed it down a bit and he ended up being super nice. My husband ordered one of the suggested cocktails, stating he'd like to order a glass of wine with dinner and I opted for just water. About 10 minutes later we got our drinks and we asked a few questions about their appetizers. We ordered calamari Fritto, charred peperonata, sweet potato chips, aji amarillo, cilantro salsa verde but we didn't get plates so we had to ask. The calameri was just ok. That kind of started a trend because we had to "ask" for pretty much everything that should have been on the table as we arrived. The bread was warm but little semi stale rolls were brought to us again with no plates and after the appetizer. We began eating the app and about 10 minutes later the waiter said "wow, you've eaten that already?" Seriously?? So, that being said we ordered our dinner after inquiring about a few items. I was truly craving a good filet so I knew right away what I wanted. I ordered the 6 oz filet ($48) and because mine was a la carte', I also ordered the sweet potatoe with thyme infused honey and chilis ($11) which sounded interesting. My husband wanted a ribeye but the only offering was a huge tomahawk or porterhouse for ($155), or the chefs creation, which was a 14 oz. boneless ribeye, charred endive with green chimichurri . ($52) Both were ordered with temps of Pittsburgh Medium. The bar was pretty full at about 6pm and everyone was dressed really casual in shorts etc which was nice to see but I thought this was a upscale restaurant. While we waited for our meal, we talked more with the waiter and with the dining room manager about how things were going since the opening. They were both super nice and very talkative. We asked if either had been to the Capital Grill or Morton's and sadly enough neither had even ever heard of those restaurants. (I think the entire crew could learn a few things about great food and exceptional service by visiting either place.) At that point, our appetizer dishes still were not cleared from the table and the entree's were now being served. It was ok but seriously when paying these prices, you'd expect better service. My steak was placed in front of me by a food runner and she asked if I'd cut it to be sure it was cooked properly and it was perfect. My husbands ribeye came out shortly after but it wasn't charred at all. He politely said he'd eat it that way because by now he was hungry. I have to say the presentation of food was very lackluster and nothing to rave about and the food itself was average at best. My filet was tasty but very chewy and my husbands steak was good but super spicy. The waiter said it wasn't supposed to be spicy and he'd relay the message to the kitchen. Time for dessert and YEP we had to ask for a menu. We shared a creme brulee' which was ok but overcooked a bit. The cappuccino arrived in about 10 minutes and again the waiter said, "wow, you ate that already? Let me buy you another one". We said no thank you it was fine., just the check please. So yes, this is lengthy but I feel it had to be said. This is just another average restaurant with high prices with a captive audience of tourists. So sad, but I don't think we will be back anytime soon for a steak. We may however; stop in for a burger or sliders the next time we are downtown in shorts. read more
