THE KING!
Gary R.

Great fun again at JMichael's with Veronica at the bar and Echo the server admiring my Aviation Cocktail made with Aviation Gin co owned by actor Ryan Reynolds. These are hard to find being an old school recipe but making a comeback as you can see from their excitement. Veronica went the extra step to get that hard to get right sky blue color!! Very pleased to find this and to have such great fun with these two ladies at JMichael's! Check out their menu. You'll find this and many other surprises and watch for those special offers. I saw The King spiced angus 10oz with onion rings that looked amazing!!

Chicken Tenders - yum!

We stopped in to watch an early NFL Sunday game and we were impressed with the number of TV's surrounding the whole restaurant. The interaction with other patrons was fun. They had 3 menus to choose from: Brunch, NFL Football specials and their Regular Menu. We chose a Breakfast Burrito, Chicken Tenders and a Bowl of Chili. All large servings and tasty. The Bloody Mary's and Screw ups were perfectly made and a great price! We truly appreciated the awesome service. We will continue to add this restaurant to our rotation.

Excellent service

They had amazing burgers if you meet Frank mondo you have to say good job. he is amazing at his job and stays involved!

Swirly fries

We had a great experience at J. Michael's Tavern, and our server Frank was absolutely wonderful--friendly, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. We started with the pepperoni pizza bites, which were pepperoni and cheese rolled in puff pastry and served with marinara. Such a fun and delicious appetizer! For lunch, we ordered the wings, and wow--they were outstanding. We tried a mix of honey habanero with sweet Thai chili and BBQ. Hands down some of the best wings around (according to my son, the best so far!). I had the Beef on Weck--thinly sliced roast beef on a Kimmelweck roll with horseradish and au jus--and chose sweet potato fries as my side. Everything was excellent and full of flavor. J. Michael's Tavern is a bit tucked away in the back of the plaza with Park Avenue & Grill, but it's absolutely worth finding. We'll definitely be back! The owners really need to get the word out about this place--so many great weekly specials that people don't even know about! Monday: Wings for just $.75 Wednesday: All-you-can-eat tacos Those are just a couple of the weekly deals, and they're hard to beat. Amazing food, great service, and unbeatable specials--this spot deserves way more buzz!

Conch Cakes

Swampy's 5-Tail Review: J Michael's Tavern & Grille - Stuart, FL A fresh bite in town and we're already hooked! Veronica, Vic, and everyone's favorite food-lovin' reptile, Swampy, swung by the newly opened J Michael's Tavern & Grille in Stuart--and let's just say, it was a tail-waggin' good time. First up, the chicken wings--crispy, saucy, and so good, Swampy almost skipped the napkin (okay, definitely did). But the real catch? The conch cakes. Packed with actual conch (none of that mystery filler), they were flavorful, fresh, and Florida-approved. Yum yum... chomp chomp! The custom drink menu tempted us right off the dock. Margarita for Veronica Wine for Vic And of course, Swampy slurped down his signature Swamp Water. ‍ Our bartender? Friendly, fast, and on top of their game. Being new, the place still has a few opening-week kinks to smooth out--but the food's already firing on all burners. Final Verdict: 4.5 outta 5 Gator Tails (That last tail's twitching... one more trip might do it!) Upstairs tv room.

We stoped in for our first time Sunday, November 23rd to grab a meal and watch the KC Chiefs game. We were surprised about how large a place it was and how many TV's they had! I don't recall our waiters name but he was from New Jersey. He was friendly and attentive. We ordered a large pretzel for an appetizer. My husband ordered a french dip due to me reading a review that it was the best someone had! I ordered a schnitzel sandwich. First of all all of f our food came out together. The pretzel was luke warm and served with a very tiny cup of beer cheese. We were supposed to get spicy mustard but it was never brought to our table. My schnitzel sandwich was good. It came with a huge portion of potato salad that was very good. The French dip was very tough. The meat had been cut incorrectly. It came with these scoop type fries. They were just ok. We did tell our waiter how tough the meat in the French dip was. He blamed it on them being so busy due to the football games. Totally had nothing to do with it. He didn't really apologize or offer any discount. He just suggested we come back when they aren't so busy! We also got charged for another very tiny cup of beer cheese to finish the pretzel off and it took along time to get. We probably will not return.

I had no clue that this restaurant was open already, we accidentally went somewhere that was closed and the next place over was J. Michael's. The place before it was not my favorite so I was interested to see if it was just new management or completely different entity itself. The outside bar area is very unique. The bartender was very friendly and we were talking to him for quite a bit of time before we went inside. this was a great sports bar feel. There are countless seats. The bar has been completely redone. And there are various themes throughout the restaurant pertaining to sports and drinking. I thought it was a fun yet still more upscale for a bar. I understand that the restaurant is new, but they really did seem over staffed for 11:00 in the morning. I got the chicken schnitzel and it was delicious with the lemon aïoli spread that comes with it! Management came in and checked on us. They seemed very nice. The owner was a down to earth sports man. I hope this establishment does well!

Food was amazing! Service even better! Apparently they have a huge BILLS following! I can't wait to come back during football season! Definitely going to be my new spot! They have a full bar and everything! I couldn't be more happy with this place!! Everyone needs to come more people need to know about this hidden gem !!

Chicken schnitzel. A little too bland for me

Their table bench Construction was slightly flawed in that they made the tiki tables just a little too high. However, they came up with a solution to fix feet from dangling by putting a resting bar in the appropriate spot. The tables were well shaded, and there was a place for the kids to play in the back, which made it a great spot for families. I had the softshell crab. It was over fried for my taste, but the oil was fresh so you can taste that the crab was fresh. It was served a large piece of French bread which was disproportionately too big for the soft shell filling, I probably would have appreciated it more if it was served on something soft like a brioche bun. My friend ordered the pulled pork taco tacos. It was too small tacos and she didn't finish them, which told me that they didn't allow her. My sister ordered a fried fish taco. My husband ordered the grouper platter. He was still hungry after he finished it, he thought the serving size was a little skimpy. To rescue his meal he ordered some wings. The waitress described them as just made and that they weren't gonna run out of them tonight, which somehow implied that tomorrow they would. We were unimpressed, they were small wing segments, not like a big oven stuff a roaster part. They were not meaty, best described as dry and skimpy. Overall, I was not impressed with the food.

First, let me start out by saying that Stevie was amazing. Very professional, very helpful,…read moreimpeccable service. You can absolutely tell that he has a ton of experience working in the food service industry. Our drink orders were perfect. Great martini delivered just as ordered. 5 stars. We are long-time Kyle G patrons. This was our first time at the Fish Grill. We came on a Tuesday. Upon arrival we learned about the Tuesday happy-tizer specials. We decided to try them in lieu of ordering off the regular menu. Our intention was to try as many of the happy-tizers as we could. Maybe that was our mistake. We will never know because after such a lackluster meal, we won't return. Here is what we tried: We ordered the mussels. Small, chewy, shriveled, over seasoned. Enough said. The shrimp and crab cake reminded me of my mother's salmon croquettes....not my favorite meal as a kid growing up. 2 half-dollar size patties served with a flavorful dipping sauce. They didn't taste like crab and they didn't taste like shrimp. A pan fried paste that tasted like whatever seasoning they used. The sauce couldn't save this for me. A textural turnoff. The dragon dynamite tuna was completely forgettable. The "crispy" rice was not crispy at all, the round discs could have been small, circular cut-outs of Wonder white bread. The tuna topping was more acidic than spicy. And I'm not really sure how you can mix tuna with spicy mayo and come up with a result that actually tasted as dry as the Sahara desert. The fish tacos were fresh, well cooked and well seasoned. They were served with luke-warm fries. Please note, the fish taco is not on the half price happy-tizer menu. The Tuesday appetizer menu is exactly the same as the appetizer menu every other day of the week.... We stopped after 3 disappointing items. Would it have tasted better on Wednesday when they were full price?

Had dinner here this evening and was an excellent experience…read more The service was absolutely on point, waiter was polite, friendly and professional. This is an upscale casual place (shorts, collared shirt). I had the swordfish Florentin which was excellent. There was a steak and shrimp meal order and I was told it was extremely tender meat and shrimp was perfect. I definitely recommend you try this place, you will not be disappointed.

Hidden on a tiny road that runs amongst condos and nothing else, Tidehouse at first would seem like…read morean afterthought for the condo association. But, don't let that first impression fool you. THE AMBIANCE: Once you climb the stairs (yes they have an outdoor elevator), you'll enter a wide expanse of the St Lucie River with hundreds of boats at dock. The view is simply stunning. You can choose to sit inside (why you'd make this choice is beyond me), or if you like music, choose the active fun loving crowd on the patio bar or dine dockside where you'll have an expansive view of the river. We chose the latter. Either way, this is an experience dining unlike any other in the Stuart area. THE SERVICE: We were served by Anna. With a smile and a an enthusiasm that showed she loved her job, she explained a bit of the history of the restaurant and gave a thorough overview of the offerings. Anna was a servers server who knew when to stop by without being intrusive, when to fill our glasses and when to be there when we needed her. I'm not sure if all the serving staff are as good as Anna but, If you're lucky enough to get one of her tables count your blessings. Even the buss boys served with a smile and efficiency that you don't often see. On one occasion one of our party spilled catchup and asked for an additional napkin. The buss boy didn't go and tell the server (which is the norm) but instead "immediately" returned with a napkin and cleaned the spill himself. In today's "I hate my job" world, it was so nice to experience a time when staff served with a smile that conveyed "I love my job"! THE FOOD: For our appetiser, we chose to share a bowl of their Maryland Crab Soup. The menu states "Tomato broth, vegetables, crab meat". Doesn't sound like much, right? But, don't let that simple description fool you, this slightly spicy soup was a delicious meal in itself. I highly recommend you share a bowl if you intend to leave room for an entree. For our entrees, my lovely bride chose to start with the Tide Chopped Salad which features fresh greens, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, radish, and avocado, graced with an outstanding sherry vinaigrette. From there she chose the Steak and Shrimp combo which featured a 10oz NY Strip & 3 jumbo fried shrimp. She added the garlic mashed potatoes. Her mashed potatoes were scrumptious and her jumbo shrimp combined a crispy breadcrumb topping complimenting the juicy shrimp within. Tough and a bit grizzly, unfortunately, the steak was the outlier to the rest of the dish. I chose the Steak & Cake combo with coconut rice and macaroni and cheese sides. Because they're usually bread cakes with a few pieces of crab hidden throughout, I'm not usually a crab cake lover but, Anna Banana (her suggestion of a name) convinced me that, because the new owner came from Maryland and brought with him his family crab cake recipe, I needed to "experience" the best crab cake I'll ever have, and so, I took the plunge. Sadly, my steak was just as poor a cut of beef as my wife's but those crab cakes... oh those crab cakes were everything Anna Banana said, and than some! I've never had a crab cake that came close! The crab cakes come with a mustard base dipping sauce but, believe me, you'll not want to mar the perfection by dipping. My sides were also great. The coconut rice was not overpowering with just a hint of coconut as an aftertaste and my macaroni & cheese (which I don't usually order unless I have kids with me) was creamy and cheesy. For dessert, we decided to try the Key Lime pie. Not sure about the rest of the desserts but the Key Lime pie was a definite winner with just the right tartness resting on a tasty graham cracker crust (as a true Key Lime pie should have) and a wonderfully creamy texture. THE BOTTOM LINE: As with all my reviews the "customer so what" is would I come back? Even though I'd stay away from the steaks, you bet I'd come back! I would ask for the deck dining room, be seated in Anna "Bananas" serving area and make sure I included those out of this world crab cakes in my meal!

My friend had the crab cake sandwich for her entree and she LOVED IT! I had the fish tacos which were super fresh, the mango added a perfect happiness in my mouth. We can't wait to return.
