The atmosphere is casual upscale bar/restaurant so very nice.the service was friendly and professional, thank you Madison for the great experience. You can sit inside or outside (under roof) for a bit quieter experience. This is a great place to try you will not be disappointed read more

Cowardly Management & Obnoxious Atmosphere - Never Returning I have never left a restaurant so completely enraged. My friend and I sat outside to avoid the loud inside noise, hoping for a nice dinner. Instead, a massive group from a tournament sponsored by the restaurant's owner congregated right next to our booth and started screaming and shouting so loudly we couldn't hear each other speak. When we asked our waitress for help, she completely brushed us off. She even admitted to us that it was the "owner's tournament," making it clear she wasn't going to do a single thing about it. When we asked to speak to the manager, the experience went from bad to completely unacceptable. He was unprofessional, talked down to me, and was entirely ignorant. When I told him the noise was completely over the top and obnoxious, his response was, "Well, then you shouldn't have come here, it's Saturday night." He then smugly claimed "no one else is complaining" and refused to offer a simple discount for a completely ruined meal. They were both clearly too terrified to manage the owner's friends, so they let paying customers take the hit instead. I waitressed for 10 years. I know exactly what a lively tavern environment is, and I know what is completely unacceptable. No manager or server I ever worked with would ever allow a rowdy group to completely ruin the night for other guests just to protect their own skins--let alone insult a customer for complaining about it. To top it off, they made us wait forever just to get our check. I have never withheld a tip in my entire life, but tonight, neither my friend nor I left a dime. This manager is completely toxic!! NEVER AGAIN!! I would've put zero stars but have to put at least one to post a review! I've never any restaurant before that's all read more

I came here one night with a group of girls one night and everyone was talking about how it's such a great to eat and how amazing the food was. I finally stopped by with my family and we all loved it! My husband has been raving about it for days. He has a friend visiting from out of town who wants to meet up for lunch and this was his first thought so we'll be back again tomorrow. I normally don't eat seafood, unless I'm out and I follow a a plant-based diet otherwise. I didn't realize until our order of pretzel bites came out with butter. I said something to the food runner as they brought it to the table and they fixed it right away. Our server came to the table immediately and was super accommodating. Even the chef came out to confirm that I didn't want butter on anything as he was about to make my entree. We were amazed at how kind all of the staff were and how much they care. You can see that they put their heart and soul in the food. Overall great place!! read more

Always our favorite go to place! We've been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed. Their menu is huge! Their burgers are the best and we love the Tavern Dip and Open Face Filet! Their sandwiches are always wonderful. You can get really good salads with anything you want on them as well as delicious hot dinners. They have a great pet friendly outside area with fans or heaters to keep you comfortable. You can also eat inside at tables or at the bar. Service is always friendly and helpful like you're part of the family. They are open Tuesday through Sunday. We always bring our visitors here and they love it too. Highly recommended! read more

Tonight we are at Carson's. Ordered the jumbo wings for $2 each and they were from very small chickens. Absolutely not jumbo wings. Also had a personal pizza and that was really good. One of the biggest turnoffs was the amount of noise inside. My wife and I were literally yelling to each other to hear each other. It was crazy loud! Personally, I would not go back, not only because of the noise but just because I did not feel comfortable there. Waitress was great! I did want to point that out. But ambience and setting, not so much. If I want to eat at a loud drinking establishment there are plenty of those around. read more

Had a great day of football at Carson's Tavern and was good to see Johnnie behind the bar! He always takes care of his people and I noticed a new floor manager JB who was running food, helped Johnnie during the rush find games for the customers, checked the kitchen and food items and was constantly helping the staff make things perfect. They have football game day specials along with a great menu but the people here make your experience great. Thanks for a great visit and maybe we'll see you on Tuesday Irish night where they have another bar menu with Irish themed items which are really good. Well played!! read more

Saturday night the bar was packed. The bar Tenders were Great! The Band started to play (they were actually pretty good) BUT, they were SOOO Loud You could not hear anything. The Bar was empty out within minutes after they started! You had to shout to hear the person next to you, the Bar Tenders looked pissed off. read more

Came in alone on a Sunday evening (8 pm). Sat at the bar. I ordered the Peargasm Martini, Shrimp Scampi, and a Lemon Drop Martini later in the evening. The service was top notch. Jim, the bartender, was very attentive, friendly, and skilled/knowledgeable. The crowd was friendly and slightly upbeat due to the USA vs. Costa Rica soccer game playing on the tv. This would be a lovely place for a casual date night or special event. Bill came out to ~$54 after a 25% tip and taxes (the gentleman next to me paid for one of my drinks). Will definitely be back read more

We went with a group of 7. We have been here before and were very happy but not this time. One of our group ordered stuffed peppers. Upon arrival, the item did not look appetizing at all. I tried it and did not like the taste and immediately asked the waitress to come by. The dish was one of the night specials. It did not taste right at all, and when the waitress came back, she said she would have to get a manager to see what she could do. We asked if we could exchange it for something else and she had to get a manager. The manager came by and informed us "we don't usually do that". We thought to ourselves what do they normally do? force you to eat it??? We were completely taken back by that and very tempted to leave, but all of our food had arrived at that point. It was a very difficult experience and I would never go back. It is incredible that anybody at a restaurant, especially a manager would tell someone who does not like the food that they "normally don't do anything like that" as far as returning it for something else. I had only asked for a burger instead. Waitress was slow and periodically disappeared, not returning to check us. Bad experience read more

Don't go here on St Patrick's Day! Last year the owner and his bouncers followed us (2 married couples in our 70's) to our car in their parking lot because the waiter outside rudely said we overstayed at our table? This was after we bought corn beef sandwiches and beer! read more

Went to watch a Commanders football game today. Came an hour early so we could get a table because bar is always full. Had some drinks and appetizers. Picked a table by the large screen TV because it had the Fox TV early game on. When it came time for the 4:35 Commanders game they put on baseball. Nobody watching it. Everyone at the bar watching football. We were the only table. I asked I assume the general manager to please change the channel. I was told no way because it was baseball playoffs. I asked several people at the restaurant and no one wanted baseball. Everyone there was for football. I have been there a lot for games and never experienced this before. So disappointed. You have lost my business and recommendations. read more

Terrific food and drink! Arrived at Carson's Tavern about 2:30pm on St Patrick's Day with my American-Irish wife. The annual boisterous crowd of Irish partiers surrounded the dance floor, listening and dancing to the authentic Irish bands. Lots of people having a great time and we were happily a part of the crowd. Nothing better than doing an Irish jig with the one you love. Left about 5:00pm. Will be there next year if all goes to plan. read more

Great variety on the menu. Wonderful, friendly staff. Plenty of parking. True tavern atmosphere.

This was a new find for us. We were up in the Stewart area and it was absolutely adorable. We walked in, and we were very very welcomed by someone named Brittany, and she turned out to be our server and she was excellent. We asked her what we should order I had I didn't take a picture of the butternut squash soup which which was absolutely delicious. Homemade you can definitely definitely tell. My husband got the , mini sliders and the homemade chips. The homemade chips were crispy and fresh. You definitely could tell they take care. And then I got Mrs. Peterson's fish dip oh my goodness absolutely delicious and packed with lots of flavor. This is such a cute place it has inside seating outside seating. You definitely can tell it's a family run business because they really put their heart and soul into everything. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. We will definitely take a ride back up. We're about 45 minutes away in visit again peace out!!! read more

Always a winner! They never cease to please! Food & staff excellent.great place to watch "the game"!

FOOD WAS GROSS, service was erratic and inattentive, 10 minutes to get a glass for my beer, cheeseburger was so tasteless and bland, my wife's sweet potato fries were petrified AND COLD!. Her 6 chicken wing app, turned out to be 5 and 1 unidentified type of petrified hard inedible. They were kind (manager) and removed items from the bill - however, the server gave us the incorrect bill and then was irritated when we asked for the proper bill. the menu is huge, old, and the items are not well cooked. It was not a good experience, and it was NOT busy. We were on patio, not inside, it was smoky and not well lit. We are retired, NOT OLD, this place is for folks who have no taste buds and all the time in the world to be disappointed. NEVER going back read more
