Words can't express how great this place is. The sticky wings are amazing and I promise you won't find another wing like it. I will be back to try every single item on the menu. Castaways is the secret hideout for Jensen Beach locals who know there are tourist traps and then there are amazing scratch kitchens like this one. We were in for the 6th or 7th time last night and had a shrimp, chicken and sausage sandwich with some of the greatest gouda grits on the Treasure Coast. They also have literally 100 taps beers, with a ton of Florida breweries. As a person who is not a sports bar fan, this was probably one of the better places. It wasn't too noisy, and the place was clean and comfortable. It was jammed on a Thursday night at 6, but it was also high season. The appetizer of chicken cordon bleu egg rolls was absolutely delicious. Had I known, I would have eaten the appetizer as my entree, but we shared it among the three of us. My Reuben on marbeled rye was good, not great. It was as good as any other place...it could have had a tad more meat on it, and I'm not a big marbled rye fan. I prefer the old Jewish seeded or TooJays rye bread (the absolute best rye ever). My companions had a burger and a Reuben. Nothing to write home about. Oh, waffle fries? They should be banned. The holes make them cool off immediately and they are never crispy no matter where you get them. All in all, an ok place. Rachel and Jessie took great care of us while we dined outdoors (pet friendly). Jensen Beach Blvd was a bit noisy but it was a beautiful day to enjoy the sun. We took advantage of the Happy Hour Smoked Jumbo Chicken Wings and selected the Parmesan Garlic sauce - they were delicious! Great service and very inviting atmosphere! I wasn't so much a fan of the tuna in the wrap but everything out was really good. We first visited this place last year and had a great meal. I am back for the winter and stopped by after golf. I sat at the bar to order food to go. The staff was very friendly and the owner said hello. He remembered me from last year, nice touch. I ordered sweet spicy wings with a half wedge salad. I don't come here very often. But I did tonight and they had a giant mozzarella stick as a summer special. I HAD to order it, even though I only had a couple of bites. It was very good!!! I also had the mahi sandwich, minus the bread. It was really good. Not overcooked, which is awesome for a place that serves mostly burgers and other sandwiches. I went here for the first time while in the area. If you are looking for a full bar this is not the place to go, but they do have a large selection of beer, some wine and Sangria. This is a local pub, and I was told is always packed. The ambience is just OK and the bartender was fairly attentive. The sangria was very good and I found the Cuban sandwich to be a bit salty, but still very good. I had them take out the spicy mustard. The $4.00 up charge for the small side of the macaroni and cheese instead was not worth it. I would stick with the fries. I give this place 3.5 stars. read more

The service was outstanding!! It's a fairly small place that was very busy on a Sunday late afternoon but we were able to get a seat at the bar. We both had the side wedge which was a very generous portion for a side salad and very good. The sandwiches were the big disappointment, the Mahi was paper thin and very dry, I could only eat half. Incredible food and beer selection, fantastic bartenders, and a nice restaurant. I travel for work, and generally try to go to a different place for dinner every night, but I made an exception for Castaways. I came here with my coworker both times, and we both loved everything we ate. We tried the Sticky wings -arguably the best thing on the menu-, the mahi Rachel sandwich - delicious, the Cuban which my coworker said was great, just hot; and the loaded burger which was also very good. They have a massive beer selection here, over 70, and they were pretty decently priced. The bartenders we had both evenings we came were very helpful, and were willing to give samples of the different beers. The homemade tots are amazing. The poutine is some of the best. I can't rave about the food enough. Castaways is a beer drinkers nirvana. The beer options are endless. Have typically eaten at the bar here in the past with the exception of a couple times. Today was one of them. All servers are not created equal, and our table service dropped off rapidly once our food came. Not a huge deal, but noticed that the table next to us ordered the exact same tuna app and theirs looked WAY nicer when it arrived. Again, not a huge deal, but the black & blue burger had enough salt on it and mixed into the meat to kill a horse. Couldn't eat much of it and didn't take the rest home. $70 for 2 apps, an order of 2 tacos, a burger & 2 drinks (during happy hour). All of those things combined means I probably won't go back. This place never disappoints. I don't know of many other places that have such a diverse food and beer menu. Man, they do everything well. And the service is excellent. Our bartender was Eric and he seemed to know everything about beer. He hooked us up right away with one of his favorite IPA's from Destihl Brewery. Then recommended the wings. And it's cliche say to say a bar has good wings, but I am picky AAMF about my wings. These were crispy and delicious, I ate most of them and my buddy had to order is own. The house made ranch for dipping just took it up a notch. The spice was nice but I should have asked for hotter, especially because I was having a couple of beers. I decided to be healthy and get the Roast Beet Salad to wash down my wings and have a lighter IPA with it. That was awesome as well. Five stars guys. A menu full of great gastropub items, but you'll have to try their burgers when you go. I went with the build-your-own, including sharp cheddar, sauteed onions, and jalapenos. It was hands down one of the best burgers I've had. As if a burger and beer weren't enough, we also had their chicken wings. Although half of our order was dropped on the way to the table, they quickly re-fired a new batch, and they were what you would expect from great wings, crispy and juicy. Another great local eatery in Jensen Beach. After driving up from Miami, we were all tired and hungry. But with 2 dogs in tow we had to find something with outside seating and dog friendly. Castaways had plenty of tables outside for a parry 4 we had plenty of room at our table. We were immediately greeted by Morgan. Seems as though she was one working the tables that evening. But she was upbeat and greeted us immediately and got us seated. She took our dink order, we started off with red sangria and followed up with the summer sipper. We all ordered big ol juicy burgers. Both our sons ordered the biggest and meatiest burger on the menu. The food was delicious as were the drinks. Stopped in for dinner and the place was packed! We found 2 seats at the bar and enjoyed our night. The bartender was very friendly and he had extensive knowledge with any beer questions we had. He made a lot of recommendations based on other things we ordered and he took great care of us. I ordered the Mahi Mahi Reuben and I really enjoyed it. The waffle fries were tasty and the sandwich was everything I wanted. The portion was pretty good for the price and it filled me up. I wanted to try the Buffalo Chicken/Mac & Cheese Egg Rolls but I couldn't get myself to pay $14 for 3 egg rolls for an appetizer.
