After a shopping trip in downtown Stuart, wanted to try a couple of restaurants. To start our dining experience, we stopped here to get our favorite appetizer, filthy scallops. They totally did not disappoint. I LOVE this appetizer- scallop perfectly seared, caviar and crème fraiche- perfect compliment. Love the little Slice of black truffle on the side. I was able to easily score an outside happy hour patio table after a brief walk (30 mins) around the shops... The happy hour menu was a great value for the drinks. I got a Keylime pie martini. ($8) Also a glass of sparkling rosé. ($7) Finally, fresh catch sliders -- slightly battered mahi-mahi (2) for $14. The server let me know they were out of buns, so they were semi-sliders. After my sliders arrived, another server who had gone above and beyond, had gone to pick up buns, so I asked for a bun for the remaining slider, which she was able to deliver. Happy hour is on the "bar and patio only, seven days a week from 2 to 5 PM." I'd plan to go then! read more

Ate outside today, Sunday lunch. Chibatta chicken I had chicken salad both were very good. Ate outside under umbrella don't know why they don't use both umbrellas people couldn't eat out there it was very sunny. Service very good a male didn't get his name. Always lovely hostess ! I enjoy this location, I have always had great experiences here. I stopped in after shopping one day, and had some fresh oysters, and oysters Romanov, which was a fun new way to try oysters and I also had some refreshing and tasty wine! I just was also able to bring my mom here, she had never been so I wanted her to check it out, she had a blueberry mule mocktail, I had a glass of white wine,, and ordered oysters, they usually have nice variety of oysters! This is a fantastic restaurant, the atmosphere was intimate and calm, the wait staff was attentive and informative and wow, the food was top notch! We had joined some friends to dine here per their recommendation and it did not disappoint. This establishment offers a quaint and intimate dining atmosphere coupled with excellent service. And the menu is broad enough to please any palate. Of particular appeal to me was the Oven Roasted Maple Leaf Duck. I am a big fan of duck, yet it is often a challenge to find it on menus. So when the option presents itself, I seldom have the willpower to choose something different. And in this case, the duck was a winner! Tender, very flavorful, and paired well with mashed potatoes. We were Hungry caviar and in down town Stuart heard this was the spot for our craving so we popped in without a reso and were welcomed to have a seat at the Bar ! We were greeted swiftly and warmly by the bartender and We ordered the caviar (on top) along with a delicious bottle of Camus! The caviar was served with a plethora of accompaniments and the Bellinis but we prefer a fried potato with our caviar so we ordered a side of fries instead. The Bartender suggested the award winning coconut crusted black grouper in the coconut curry sauce as our main. The portion was very generous and fish was cooked to perfection. It was honestly the best piece of grouper I've had in a long time. I'd give it the blue ribbon!!! Apart from the food the service was impeccable! Came here for dinner with a reservation (which you DEFINITELY need!). Keep in mind that they only serve beer and wine. The food was all fresh and very good, some of the dishes were a little bit under seasoned for my taste but nothing a splash of salt couldn't fix. Overall I would say it is on the pricier side, but this is clearly a spot for celebrations and nicer meals so it's not unreasonable. It's a very cute restaurant in a fun area to walk around, definitely recommend coming early so you can watch the sunset before having dinner! read more

My boyfriend and I went here for date night and had a great dinner. Initially when he called for the reservation he was told that we would be seated at a high top but when we got there, they gave us the option on seating. We started with oysters and the Rhode Island calamari which were both fantastic. We then split the buffalo chicken sandwich and coconut crusted fish. Everything we had was incredible. We took out of town guests there yesterday for a late lunch/early dinner. We've been a few times and enjoyed. This was not one of those times. We like the ambience and the wait staff. The ice tea was good. I had the beggars purses which were fine but the sauce was coagulated and not hot; Husb had the crispy grouper which looked a lil dark, sadly over cooked; the basket of clam bellies all 5 were served over a giant amount of like warm fries quite sad actually where was the basket; the fried oysters with truffles and caviar were a hit; the oysters rockerfella were so so.Don't know what happened here but besides disappointing a bit embarrassing after we went on abt how good the place ...was. read more

Everything went well at this gem of a restaurant! We went for a late lunch 3 pm on a Monday. They don't have hard liquor. They do have a wine based vodka. I had their key lime pie martini it was tasty. Not as good as the rosemary lemon drop martini at the black marlin but it was wine based vodka so I gave a try wasn't disappointed . We happened to be there during happy hour we got the 4 kinds of oysters they had available. Which were Quoinne from Rhode Island, Eel lake from Nova Scotia, murph's lucky charms and a brand from Massachusetts I've never heard of and I'm from Boston! The winners were Quoinne and Eel lake! If you ever see them on a menu get them. You will be happy you did I ordered 4 more of each they were so good! We proceeded with the first rich fried oysters. I thought they were excellent my husband did too he just wished the oysters were bigger. He ordered the crispy grouper sandwich and it was phenomenal I got the clams casino which we both thought were spot on and I got the wagyu sliders off the happy hour menu. They were fantastic. Service was good the bartender was a little overwhelmed. It felt like the heat wasn't on we were here in 30 degree weather so it was pretty chilly inside. The wait staff also had a jacket on! Best brunch I've ever had! I went to Riverwalk Brunch on Sunday and was completely blown away. I ordered the steak and eggs, and it was absolutely perfect -- cooked just right and full of flavor. This is not your average higher end bar food. This cafe has excellent food and good wines. Yes, it is expensive. Our meal for three clocked in at $280 plus a nice tip. Our wonderfully prepared meals were: Oysters Rockefeller Fiocchi- Pasta stuffed with pear Gorgonzola salad with NY Steak added Elk (go med rare) really good when you can get it Grouper Etouffee Definitely not an everyday dinner spot, but for an outstanding chef inspired meal. Stopped in for my family's yearly holiday celebration. The oysters and fish were even better than I remember. The coconut crusted catch of the day in curry was delicious. The blackened catch of the day was also great (even though I prefer it without the butter sauce). And the bread pudding to finish was incredible! also, the service is consistently above and beyond. Odd experience there today. Walked in, asked to see a menu and was asked "are you going to sit down?." Answered "that's why we wanted to see the menu". They gave us a menu and we thought the menu looked good. There was one table right by the door. Since it's a chilly day we asked if we could have a 4 person table away from the door (there was two of us but there were several open tables) and they said "no", so we went next door and had a great lunch at Spritz. The Scottish salmon was well prepared. The service was inadequate, staff did not check on us frequently, my drink was not refilled until I requested it. The restaurant was overcrowded, my sit was in the entry way, my chair was half on the floor and half on the entryway entrance. It will literally clean your nose out. I also got to try a spoon of my dads creamy crab soup and a bite of my moms scallops and it was all delicious. The calamari was perfectly crispy and not overly breaded. For my meal I got the blackened swordfish special with a lemon bur blanc sauce. I could have bottled this sauce and eaten it on a lot of things, it was soooo good! But the real treat of the night was the homemade cookies and cream bread pudding. Holy mackerel warmed with ice cream I couldn't stop eating it. Service was also excellent which I know is hard with such a big table. Our waitress was very patient. They do not have a full bar but offer wine. My only area of development would be to invest in a bottle of grenadine to make Shirley temples for children. Enjoyed a delightful dinner at Riverwalk Café & Oyster Bar in Stuart Florida. We began with raw oysters, sampling all four types available. Delicate and super fresh and perfectly chilled. For our mains we had their Ginger Glazed Scottish Salmon served grilled and then baked with fresh ginger with a mix of soy sauce, sherry, and honey. Served on very light jasmine rice and sautéed spinach. We also had Lane Snapper pan seared with white wine Beurre Blanc as well as their other special Black Grouper with a light watermelon wine sauce. All the fish was outstanding- cooked to perfection. For desert we enjoyed a coconut cream bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream with strawberries. Becky did an outstanding job assisting us with choices and serving our meal. They were a bit behind with service by almost 30 minutes on a Monday and we had reservations so we sat at the bar with a bartender who needs more training in the service industry. Food was very good if a bit salty. We had the fried oysters, seared ahi with soba, clams casino. Clams casino is never impressive to me but the ordering person loved it. Several salads..the summer salad was great. Soup of the day was a bland cream of chicken. Crab cakes were excellent. Salmon was properly cooked. Fried grouper sandwich was way too salty and the slaw was dripping in sauce which ruined any crunch or brightness. Fries were great as were the delicious homemade pickles. No room for dessert. So food is pretty good, some stood out, but most needed some tweaking to be great. Great venue but it's very popular and gets packed quickly. Reservations def recommended. read more

Came here for a Saturday lunch on a crazy windy day so we wanted to sit inside but they also have outdoor seating for nicer days. Charming gem in downtown Stuart. Cozy, historic feeling inside with views of the water. Our server Becca was fantastic - knowledgeable and helped me decide on the grilled chicken ciabatta for lunch which was delicious.
