This place was so delightful, even though I was only in Stuart for a little over a week I came here twice! This food scene in Stuart is great and Chef's Table is no exception. On the first visit, we shared a corn salad, which was warm and delicious. We each got a half portion of pasta 1. cavatelli Cacio e Pepe was delightful. 2. Cordoncini w/ shrimp was tasty and inventive. We each ended with a dessert. My dining companion had a scoop of pistachio which she liked. The only less-than-stellar option was the tiramisu. Being from the northeast, I have had tiramisu more times than I can count at various Italian restaurants and this one just didn't do it for me. It felt like it was prepared at least a day in advance, and there was some sort of liquid at the bottom that made it un appealing. But, it did not stop me from wanting to return. Came here for lunch and had the salmon sandwich. It came with lettuce, tomato, an aioli sauce and side of pickles with a small salad. It was very filling and served on a brioche bun. My family got the half soup and half panini, with the house chicken vegetable soup. My husband got a half serving of one of their pastas, which comes with homemade pasta noodles. They were great with refilling waters and kind service. Only thing I would recommend for the fish sandwich is a tartar sauce and some lemon slices on the side to give the fish a little citrus kick, but I appreciated they asked how I wanted the salmon cooked. Seating can be limited, especially for large groups so either call ahead or be prepared for a wait if you're a large party. read more

This was my first experience there. It was a Wednesday evening and not busy at all. The waitress was professional and very nice. The menu is quite limited as there was not even a chicken dish. I ordered the "special" halibut over polenta with broccoli. My first thought when the dish came out was "this doesn't look like halibut". I recently moved to the area from Orlando. I've tried every top rated restaurant in the area and they all have been subpar at best and that's being generous. The chef's table offers excellent fresh food that tastes fantastic. I've probably eaten here at least a dozen times in the last few months and not had one bad meal. The service was impeccable. The ambiance is great for a very nice date night or even for a decent size group. We ordered the crudo tasting, octopus and the crown jewel - Beef Wellington. My husband and I truly enjoy Chef's Table! It's a quiet and intimate space easily visible from the road. Parking is easy breezy, and they have both inside and outside seating. What impresses me most about this place is the stellar culinary creations! Everything I've ever ordered is absolutely fabulous... from their lunch menu to their dinner menu! We highly recommend their Beet Slider appetizer. It's 3 very small bites, but I swear these are so so good. My husband and I both agreed we could easily eat 20! They always have a few homemade pastas, including a Ravioli of the day. I love that you can get either half or full portions, so we usually get two halves as we love to try different options! Their ricotta gnocchi is wonderful and pillowy! Their meat/fish selections are great, and what is most impressive is their selection of side dishes! They have at least 15 options on any given day... so many different veggie options as sides (some produce is even local!) and many different unusual side dish suspects to choose from. They don't have a full bar- just beer and wine. Being a wine bar, I would love to see some more exciting and enticing options from their wine list... but that's just a small gripe. Our last visit, we made it to dessert and shared the panna cotta with candied pine nuts. I'm not even a panna cotta lover, but I would fight someone for this dessert! Everything we had here for lunch was absolutely delicious, from the crispy pancetta in the Brussel sprout side to the lemon vinaigrette on the grouper. Service was well paced and helpful and the restaurant itself is warm and inviting. The house made pickles are to die for, too. You can't go wrong here for sure. We ended with the peanut butter ice cream pie which was also perfection in every detail, it was very frozen and we like our ice cream a little meltier, but this just let is take our time with this scrumptious dessert. I ordered the tasting menu (for $70/person) and everything they brought out was excellent. As opposed to other tasting menus, if you are doing it with another person don't expect the same thing. I have been coming here for 8 years now, and there has been a sort of shift in enjoyment and I am not sure why. I have celebrated milestones at this restaurant, and I have been truly taken aback by the level of expertise from the chef. I am a chef and work at a world-renowned hospitality group. I have to say, the culture within this resturant is lacking in empathy and kindness. I felt disappointed the last few times I was there based on the overall approach of the waitress. We had a really good dinner at The Chef's Table. I saw someone else describe it as "upscale without being pretentious," and that pretty much nails it. It's a nice place, but still feels comfortable and relaxed. The vibe inside is pleasant. It's not a giant restaurant, but it's definitely not cramped - the tables are a good size and the seating is comfortable. They had some Brian Grey blues/jazz playing in the background which was a nice touch and added to the good atmosphere. The staff was great. Everyone was really professional but also friendly and happy to help. They just seemed to strike the right balance - attentive when needed but not hovering. It just fit the place well. Trying to label the food just "Italian" doesn't quite seem right, although the pasta dishes (especially the ones with cream sauces) were fantastic. It felt more like a mix of styles, maybe with some French techniques and New American ideas thrown in. Besides the great pasta, the fish we ordered was cooked perfectly. The menu isn't huge, but there are plenty of interesting choices. If you're really hungry or just want to try a bit of everything, they have a six-course tasting menu option too. We didn't order the crudos this time, but they looked amazing when we saw them go to another table - definitely on my list for next time. Portion sizes felt about right for the type of food and quality. They aren't huge plates, so if you're starving, maybe just ask the server for recommendations on the more filling options, as some dishes might be on the lighter side. Nobody in our group left hungry or unhappy, though. We felt the prices were fair for the quality of the food and the whole experience. The Chef's Table is definitely one of the top restaurants in Martin County. It seems like the kind of place you could go back to often and try different things. Extremely good food, with a price tag to boot. $300 for 4 of us. Came on a Saturday night around 7. Quickly seated as we had reservations. Our waitress was awesome, very personable. For drinks, we had a great bottle of red which was perhaps the lowest price point at $48. Also a few beers for the guys. As apps, we had 2 of the octopus plates (two tentacles each) and the raw ahi..as another yelper said they were just a few thin pieces, rather than thicker slices you might expect. All very tasty but also gone in an instant. Our friends each had the short ribs..they could not stop talking about them in an amazing sort of way. My wife had chicken under the brick. Nothing earth shattering here, she said while tasty was actually a bit dry. I had the pasta Bolognese. The taste..incredible. But, it was more pasta then meat, so while I was looking for some 'comfort food' I did feel like I was doing extreme anti keto here. I got talked into the large portion but the smaller portion (due to it's richness) would have been more than enough. I truly enjoyed the food and the overall experience. We were very disappointed in our lunch here. The restaurant itself was absolutely darling, great ambiance. The service was fair but the food very disappointing. The salad I had was incredibly small as was the piece of fish that I added to it. My husband had the brick chicken which was very dry. I don't mind paying high prices but we expect a little more food and better quality. It's obvious we from the other reviews we just either ordered the wrong thing or got them on a bad day. I went today for lunch. My food was terribly salty way overdone. But what was worse was my grouper was not fresh. The bad part was the server saw it on the plate as she was clearing the table and my husband had just tasted it and was saying its not fresh. She should have taken the opportunity to fix that- she did not! So that took away one star. My brussels were not cooked enough and like I said salty same for Polenta. My husbands pasta Amatriciana was fantastic and not overly seasoned. Made correctly. His salad looked great all fresh. Las person got steak and mashed potatoes and liked it.
