Beach Access Lager (L) & Escuzi Italian Pilsner (R)
    Mark D.

Stopped for a brew and a bite at Civil Society Brewing Co., Jupiter -- because my exhaustive research on Florida's microbreweries is never ending. The sacrifices I make for the greater good... No stouts or porters today, but we scored a crisp "Beach Access" lager + smooth "Escuzi" pilsner. Sampled some pale ales--too citrusy for me. Guess I'm a beer snob now. And the bar food snack game? Strong. Meatball app with lemon ricotta = Mamá mía, that's a tasty meatball! Highly recommended. We'll be back! #FLCraftBeer #DrinkFloridaBeer #CraftBeerLovers #FloridaFoodies

I am a big fan of civil! I've been coming here for a few years just for their beer which is always so fresh and delicious. My two favorites are FRESH & Beach Access. I've been hearing rave reviews for over a year now about their homemade pizza, so I finally gave it a try the other night and it did not disappoint! I'm so impressed, it was better than any pizza I've had at a dedicated pizza shop. They're always improving their shop one way or another, whether it's with adding food items to the menu, new beer options, or updating the space. They do an all around great job!

Very cute brewery in a very cute area that would be fun for bar hopping on the weekends. We didn't realize the pizza was only Wednesday through Sunday. The bartender was apologetic and did offer an assortment of pretzels for purchase. The tricked out golf cart was the best beer we tried in our flights!

Came to check out Civil's new pizza menu, they sure nailed it! We started with the garlic knots & focused with the hot pepperoni pie w/ added sweet sausage. The knots were cooked perfectly with a nice crust paired with soft dough, and not too greasy--& the dipping sauce was well-balanced. The cup pepperoni paired with the hot honey had the right amount of heat, and the sweet sausage added a nice depth of flavors. For beers we had the Tricked Out Golf Cart (fantastic) & Deadstock (expected more from a double). Can always count on Civil for great IPAs!

Ah, the redundancy of drinking here at Civil Society...during Beer Fest @ Abacoa. That alone should earn us our brew badge of honor. The crafty beers they serve are a hard rockin' A+. We caught the last two remaining seats at the bar where some seriously impaired humans were holding court. While they swayed and slurred, we sat and slurped... We aren't fans of IPA which is mostly what's here. Today we enjoyed Beach Access American lager and Oktoberfest marzen

Stopped by to try the new pizza and just wow! As always, the beer is on point. Tried the Tricked out golf cart IPA and loved it so much we took a 4 pack home. The pizza was delicious. Crispy and fresh with lots of flavor. The biggest surprise was the garlic knots. Probably the best I've ever had. Perfect blend of seasonings and not greasy at all.

And then there was Civil. This is Ben's friends' absolute favorite location, so we had to make sure we had plenty of time to spend there. She always stocks up when she goes there so right away put together an order to-go just in case they ran out of what they had canned, which she did say has happened when she waited til the end of their visit. The brewery is industry in style, open bricks showing, low key on most walls but then other walls have great artwork on them. They do not (or did not) have flight boards but they do have smaller glasses to be able to do tasters, though they looked like shot glasses. LOL. We had Waking Reality, Rum BA Bella W/ Maple & Cinnamon, Center of the Sun, Tracks, After Work Murk, Blondes Make Me Hoppy (w/ Mosaic), Bulkshake W/ Blueberry, Raspberry And Strawberry, J-Town Brown, Perspective, and Pulp.

So excited we got to finally check out this brewery while in the area! This brewery is we known for making IPAs, including hazy and/or New England style IPAs. It can be a very niche brewery, so folks who don't like hoppy beers may not like most of their selections here. We came in on a Monday afternoon during Happy Hour. Most of their draft menu consists of the aforementioned IPAs, but they also have a couple of stouts and a lager on draft. We tried their flagship beer (Fresh) in addition to others such as Fresh Pop, Wetsuit Weather, Pulp, and Sandbar Party. Everything was delicious. The place was surprisingly busy for a Monday, but the beertender provided great service. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, in addition to come cans and growlers to go. This is one of our favorite breweries we have been to in Florida, so we will definitely be back!

Super freaking cute place. I haven't been to Abaco in a long time. We were invited to the Chili cook off and ended up here afterwards. Great location, the inside is fun with their adorable dog logo. We had a group of us and we very much enjoyed being there. We set at high tops and tried different kinds of beer. They do have merchandise of that dog on cups, sweaters etc. I did purchase one of the adorable tie dye sweaters. It was cold outside and a few drinks always make me want to buy stuff that I don't really need. It's been a week and I still love it. I don't know if they sell food or not. Better to check out the website beforehand. Over all, this is a must to stop by and grab a beer.

Great beer. 10+ IPAs. Nice people. Dogs allowed.

We drove around until we found a spot in the back of the parking lot. There were a few people waiting as we walked in. The delightful hostess advised it was a 15 minute wait so we went to the bar and sat right away. The friendly bartenders took our drink and food orders. I got a lychee cosmo which looked and tasted amazing even without an actual lychee in the drink. My husband settled on one of the IPAs recommended by the bartender that wasn't too bad for a gal who despises beer. I ordered the highly coveted poke nachos for my entree and hubby got the fettuccine Alfredo. The tuna looked and tasted delicious. I did have to take most of the Serrano peppers off as they had my mouth on fire. We watched old music videos on the bar TV and reminisced how packed it use to be on weekend nights where you could barely walk through the restaurant. Overall it was a grand time. Great service, drinks and food. Trip down memory lane well served.

A manager brought a few dishes to our table. Just as he started walking away, I said, "Sir..." Nothing. I said it again. Still nothing. The third time, I said it louder because I know he heard me each time. He finally turned around and responded with, "WHAT?" in a very nasty tone. Excuse me? I simply needed his attention and this was the response. That's not how you speak to a customer especially as a manager, the person who should be setting the standard for hospitality. I later asked our server what his name was, without explaining why, and she told me it was Ed. Ed clearly needs a refresher in customer service because that interaction was completely unnecessary. I really should report my experience directly to corporate office just because of how unnecessarily nasty this man was.

From the sweet pretty blonde hostess to the server and the staff, it just feels like there's an energy there. I also don't usually get into food. I'm not a foodie - I'll spend a lot for a good meal, but I generally don't get too excited about many restaurants. I'm excited about this one. if you're gonna go there for 1 meal, get the MEXICAN STREET CORN and the CHICKEN AND WAFFLES. We always get the corn and our server even gave us little wet naps to clean up with (clutch). And I absolutely love their CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES - three warm large chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk which was only maybe $10? Crazy - I've also heard happy hour is amazing but I work and can never get there. This time I got the SEAFOOD SAUTEE and it was one of the best seafood dishes I had. Looking back, I'd recommend asking to replace the potatoes with shrimp if you can. They were so good. Our server Natalia was great and said the shrimp is from Argentina.. My wife had the PORK COLLAR - I thought it was good but I didn't think it was as good as my seafood. Our daughter had the burger - really solid and she couldn't finish it. Bonus for Dad. The last thing I would say is that this place isn't gonna be for everyone because it's noisy - probably because the bartenders serve great drinks! There was one woman at the bar that was laughing incredibly loud (uggg) but the staff couldn't have done anything about that. If you want to go there and have a really quiet sort of like laid back meal or you get triggered easily or something - SIT OUTSIDE. Otherwise, you're gonna hear music, people talking, laughing, and having fun. That also makes it great for families - we had a couple of kids sitting right beside us. So this is one of our favorite restaurants now in the Palm Beach Gardens area. Highly highly highly suggest you check it out get but GET A RESERVATION - this place is busy. I hope this helps!
