My wife's parents took us there for dinner. While the food wasn't exceptional it was good, you won't be disappointed, but what is exceptional is the service. Not only do they bring you water as soon as you sit, which is always something to look out for at any restaurant you go to, they make sure to always have your glass full and they were doing the same with my soda. The waiter even asked me to make sure the meat was medium as I had requested so he could tell the kitchen if not. Very friendly and always around and easy to find if you ever need anything. Very large restaurant and for parking I would recommend to use their valet parking as it is quite busy if your go for dinner (Florida hours . So early dinner because by 730 the restaurant had plenty of seats). They also had live music and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. If you are from colder environments like I am from Massachusetts, you will feel ok outdoors, but if you are used to Florida weather, you may think sitting outdoors is cold for you :). I honestly was impressed by how good the service is and at some point I saw a little sign saying how they pay their servers fair wages with a 401k and proper insurance and that 18% is already included in the price so tipping more is optional, and then it made sense to me. That's what you get when employees like where they work. I was a waiter for years and can attest to this. I would go back there when we come back to visit my wife's parents.

Have been here many times for lunch on the marina. Lovely setting but not many options for vegetarians. I've often gotten the eggplant stack (sans meat) but this time it was served hot & baked and looked like a cheesy melted eggplant Parmesan. Don't know if I'm remembering wrong (I'm only in the area in April) but I thought it was a more traditional eggplant stack (I love a good stack & order this anywhere it's offered!) they're usually served room temp or warm with very distinct layers of eggplant, spinach etc. This was not that at all. It was like eggplant parm with spinach,--mushy and cheesy. Oh well. Guess I'll settle for one more bowl of greens. The Florida coast is not vegetarian-friendly and I am so tired of salad.

A beautiful sunset from our table view.

The service was fantastic. Vanessa at the outside bar made a fabulous drink! Emma our table server was very thoughtful and attentive. The food was delicious and the atmosphere wonderful. No complaints at all!

This is one of our favorite restaurants when we are in town & my friend's favorite spot that lives here. The seafood selection never disappoints. My husband & I were both so happy that they still had our favorite dishes from last time. Mine is the Pineapple Snapper with coconut rice and pineapple rum sauce, talk about exceeding my Caribbean taste buds. I don't know what it is about their Shrimp Alfredo but my husband talked about this dish a-lot the last time we were here a few years back so he kept saying he really hopes they still have this here which they did and he still enjoyed it. Our friends both ordered from the Summer Pre Fixed Menu that comes with an appetizer, entree & desert. One ordered the Grilled Salmon Piccata & the other got the Short Rib & Shrimp. We love dining outside on the covered patio while enjoying the cool breeze and views from the harbour. Taking pictures by the dock is always a must! Especially during sunset. Glad to see our favorite FL restaurant is holding up to their good reputation.

The view when sitting outside is lovely and there was live music, which was nice. Ronda, our server was outstanding. (once we got a server, but that's another story.) Ahi tuna nachos are incredible. It's a lot of food and the tuna is spiced just right. I didn't get to try the fries, but they looked good. This place has three different menus so check what time you go because they have a lunch menu, a late lunch early dinner menu, and then a dinner menu. Some items are not on all the menus. We missed the lunch menu therefore we missed the chicken salad croissant, but saw it at the next table and that looked really good so definitely will try it next time.

A beautiful day on the St Lucie River with an amazing view of the luxury yachts in the marina. Lunch started with coconut shrimp which was delicately fried and escargot topped with four cheeses. The escargot was flavored exquisitely with butter and garlic--not too much or too little garlic. The main course was a blackened salmon taco creamy sauce and served with coleslaw. The other lunch was an ahi tuna wrap, which I highly recommend. It was sushi grade tuna topped with coleslaw and pickled ginger. Simply Devine. Kudos to the chef for four delicious dishes.

One of my fave places when I am visiting in Florida. The views are exceptional, food is yummy and overall good vibes. Live music at 6 too! Our server was Annie who was so nice and accommodating.

The service, food, and happy hour deals are excellent. The view of the marina is also nice.

Had lunch here. Tried to order grouper but they were out of it. Glazed salmon was cooked perfectly medium. So many places overcook salmon but they nailed it. Glaze was nice but a bit too much and a bit too sweet. Asparagus was cooked perfectly. $35 for a lunch salmon was a bit high. Server was fantastic. Friendly, checked on us often, and closed check quickly. Limited parking but valet was very quick. Great water view of all the boats in the marina.

Blackened shrimp tacos with side of fries.

Can you motor a boat up to the dock and tie up to have lunch?

There are boat at the dock, but it might be a private dock. I'm not sure. I would suggest calling the restaurant.

We started out with a chocolate martini & a Whispering Angel Rose. Both were refreshing and very celebratory for my friends birthday. Since it was lunch, we went straight to entrees. My husband had the Strawberry Field salad with shrimp. Beautifully crisp and delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly even if the salad should have had less dressing. The birthday girl had the short rib grilled cheese which looked exactly like the pictures. She managed to eat the whole thing. I had the steamed clams. The presentation was totally unexpected. It had a pizza dough topper that was puffed up with the clams, linguica & broth nice and steamy underneath. It was an amazing preparation and the dough helped tame some of the spiciness from the linguica. We all said we would come back. I would give this restaurant a solid 4.5 stars as the refill of our water was a big sluggish. Since you cannot rate in 1/2 star increments, I gave it a 5.

It ended up being a great find! The restaurant is spacious with huge windows overlooking the water, which I absolutely loved. It was much too hot to sit outside, so we enjoyed the view from an inside table. We decided to split the steamed clams (without the sausage) and a lobster bisque for lunch. Our server, Sydney, was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The clams were served inside a bread-like pastry. My husband especially enjoyed that part, while I skipped the bread and dug right into the clams--they were fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was rich, flavorful, and just as good. One unexpected bit of entertainment came from the couple seated next to us. It sounded like they were on a first date, and while I certainly wasn't trying to eavesdrop, they were talking so loudly it was impossible not to overhear! They seemed to be having a wonderful time, and it added a lighthearted touch to our lunch. Hope springs eternal! Overall, I was very happy with both our meal and the beautiful waterfront setting. I'd definitely stop here again the next time we're passing through Stuart. The only thing that gave me pause was the dinner menu, which looked a bit pricey, but for lunch this was a very enjoyable stop. You don't need a reservation for lunch so that was a plus. Sometimes you just want to go with the flow, and that is just what we did!

We were meeting friends for dinner and they suggested Black Marlin as a place they have been wanting to try but have not had a chance. That sounded good to us as we got to try another new place. We arrived during Happy Hour which allowed us to enjoy reduced priced drinks and appetizers. For appetizers we ordered calamari and bam bam shrimp. The shrimp were excellent with the spice adding a nice flavor to the slightly crispy shrimp. (A national chain has shrimp like these but not as good) Calamari was good but not particularly memorable. For dinner my wife ordered the Citrus Crusted Salmon special. This dish was pan seared and served with a delicious mango remoulade. My wife said this is as good salmon as she's ever had. I agreed after trying the small piece she shared with me. I was really in the mood for grouper. It was only offered as a sandwich-not as an entree. I'm glad I stuck with that choice as it was also excellent. We had a great server who kept the drinks coming and continually checked on us. What's better than discovering a new restaurant and enjoying it with friends? Here's the real problem. We can't possibly stay long enough to revisit all our new favorites. We will definitely be back to Black Marlin.

He had it for a while, God only knows what data base I'm now part of, but hey, great reviews, let's go. The guard gave my license back as well as a parking permit. Asked about the restaurant, he said drive to the stop sign and turn left. There's a row of shops and a Sauders sign. Did get a tiny bit confusing...none of the storefronts was Sauders. There was a dingy looking alley opening...found them. Walking down this dingy alley (there were three old window a/c units running up high, I mean old, tired, dirty and all three are dripping water into buckets below them on the concrete). We get to a tired residential screen door and that is the entrance. We were greeted right away. Said two for dinner. The hostess asked if we had reservations...we said no. We asked to sit inside. This is not the restaurants fault, but the marina is under construction, there are no docks or boats outside the windows, just rebar and dirt, however the windows and screens were dirty. There are dive bars and old restaurants with charm, Sauders is neither. Inside it just looks very tired and extremely dated You know how Restaurant Impossible or Bar Rescue showes usually start, with John Tapper and Robert Irving having a lot to say. They would have a lot to say at Sauder's. Carolyn, our server, lived up to the reviews that mention her. She was prompt, knew all the specials and did a good job throughout our meal. We ordered some Calemari. The batter was falling off, so if you tried to pick up a piece, you basically had a piece of squid. The marinara sauce was hot and had a good flavor. We had the shrimp linguine Alfredo. There were plenty of shrimp. Tha pasta was spaghetti, not linguine, but cooked properly. Could have had a little more sauce but tasted OK. The meal came with a salad. Everything was fresh, cold and crisp. Carolyn informed us the thousand island was made at the restaurant and it was OK. Summary...the food was ok, the dining room was tired, oh yeah, the rest rooms were behind doors rusting under their paint in that dingy alley and my wife said the one she went into was not nice. I honestly don't know how you could give this a 4 or 5 rating. If I knew what we were going to experience, I'd never give my driver's license to that guard and we would find another of the many seafood places in town. Sorry Sauder's, you need to make an investment in your business.
