Many days we just do "Happy Hours" for dinner. You know, find a good restaurant with a bar that has good happy hour offerings. Magic Oyster fit the criteria above so we thought we'd give it a try. When we arrived, the place was packed but we were lucky to grab two spots at the bar as a couple was just leaving. We ordered some drinks and oysters and had a great time. Oysters were delicious and the bar which was staffed with two great bartenders surrounded by a lively crowd. Then we ordered some more drinks and some more oysters. We will have to try the restaurant some day but know we will be back here for Happy Hour soon.

One of my favorite restaurants on Hutchinson Island! We grabbed a booth for four for a Saturday lunch and were quickly seated and served. I ordered a shrimp po boy while my boyfriend got the crunchy grouper sandwich. Seafood was fresh and as reasonably priced as it gets in South Florida. The ambiance is really cute too, like the inside of a cozy ship. The restaurant offers a wide variety of booth, bar, and table seating, as well as a shaded patio outback. Plenty of free parking in the plaza out front. This is a perfect place to dine when you have family in town and want to serve them a bite from the sea!

We stopped in while visiting the area and were treated to an awesome meal in a relaxed atmosphere. My husband had the snapper almondine, which was tender, not greasy, and very flavorful. I had the stuffed shrimp, stuffed with a crab cake style filling that was mostly crab and very tasty. Our waitress Keianna was attentive and fun to chat with. When we're in the area, we'll definitely be back!

Our appetizer was crab BOM Elaine had the stuffed lobster. I had the Panko crusted grouper.

We went to the magic oyster our first time there. Fred was a server and he did an outstanding job. I ordered the grouper with Panko. Elaine ordered the stuffed lobster. I have to tell you that the grouper was without question if not the best but absolutely one of the best dinners I've ever had in my 70 years of living on this earth Did the chores neat and clean happy hour is slammed this is our question my new favorite place in Florida Five stars is not high enough rating for the meal I just had

Inflation seems to have affected most restaurants. Some of them even take advantage and raise their prices way above what would be considered understandable. The Magic Oyster could show these other places how to operate a restaurant serving excellent food at still very reasonable prices. Every time I eat there, I am extremely pleased with the food, service, atmosphere, and prices. No ripping off, no nickel-and-diming the patrons. I had the special lobster and shrimp, artichokes hearts in a light sauce over linguini. It was $32...which is probably the most expensive item on the menu. When I say that there was an abundance on lobster and shrimp, I mean it. As Joe Biden is fond of saying, "I'm not kidding!" Usually, when both are included the shrimp overtake the dish because it is the least expensive. Not here. Three of us had this dish...everyone was thrilled with the flavor and price. The fourth person had the Parmesan encrusted cod and he loved it. We had a great waitress...if she's reading this, we were the people who had the pineapple allergy issue! You were great! I have been here too many times to count as I live on the island. I have tried numerous dishes and have never had a complaint other than the pasta was overcooked once. The next time, I asked for Al dente and they did it. Many, many items on the menu. It's a great little gem on Hutchinson Island. Maybe I shouldn't talk it up so much. I may not get in next time!

My first visit to Magic Oyster was 6 years ago. I live out of town and this is a must-go place when I visit for the absolute best Oyster Rockefeller in town.

Classic diner set up and ability to onlook where the wait staff prepare the finishing touches to the dishes. Service (5/5): The service for this joint is very much which made my experience. The wait staff women were a delight-- sweet, friendly, and eager to help! They provided updates, refreshed our beverages, sincere when an error was made, and provided recommendations too. Food (5/5): There is so much on the menu to try! Huge portions for an affordable rate. Don't miss out on their freshly baked goods. We loved the cinnamon bun over the coffee cake but both were very good and served warm. The pulled pork benedict special was very tender and had loads of flavor. I enjoyed the corned beef but liked the benedict more. The second day, we enjoyed omelet and brioche bun French toast.

The only issue is the traffic noise, which is considerable. The inside restaurant area is your typical breakfast restaurant with booths and tables. The outside dining area features several tables on the sidewalk with that side view of the ocean and a frontal view of all that previously mentioned traffic. For my dining experience I chose the outside. The Service: My server did a great job taking my order, making sure my drinks were replenished and actually getting my somewhat unusual hot tea with steamed milk and honey correct on the first try! The Food: Besides the traffic, here's where the restaurant falls on its sword. I ordered corned beef hash topped with poached eggs a side of "crispy" home fries and buttered sour dough toast. The Good: The highlight of the meal was the "homemade" corned beef hash. I'm always hesitant to order "homemade" corn beef hash because it's often full of items it really doesn't need. However, this corned beef hash was absolutely excellent and it was clear that it was really "homemade". The sour bread toast was also done properly and was amply buttered instead of what you get at so many places which provide a dash of butter, brushed on by a butter brush. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. The Bad: My poached eggs were overdone featuring not a hint of runny yolks and those "crispy" home fries that I made a point of asking for, were about as far away from crisp as you could imagine. In fact they were probably the most mushy home fries I've ever had. The Price: I must say, the price was not bad but, I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get a better breakfast anytime!

My husband ordered a Florida Man double IPA and I ordered the House Pinot Noir! I really enjoyed the medium bodied Pinot; for a House wine it was very good! And the price for happy hour I thought were excellent! Beer was five dollars and my Pinot Noir was only seven and a nice pour! My husband ordered the grilled Caesar salad, which was on happy hour so it was 30% off. And I happen to have a 20% off coupon that was handed to me during a jammin in Jensen. They let us use it on anything that wasn't already discounted for happy hour which we were appreciative of. I ordered the beet salad which did not disappoint beautifully, roasted golden beets, paired with Barada and candied pecans and arugula.! it was a good size salad and I ended up bringing some home! It was delicious! We then split the Mattie burger, which is a double Waygu Patty with two kinds of cheese and an onion, jam and homemade pickles, and a beautifully toasted sesame seed bun! It comes normally with duck fat fries, but we were trying to be more health conscience so they substituted roasted carrots with broccolini and garlic, which were absolutely perfect! Because it was a double patty it was more than enough to share! And they took the 20% off of that as well with my coupon! We both had one more drink! And ended up bringing leftovers home even though everything was so good. We were so full. My only recommendations would possibly be to have a single patty burger for a cheaper price point on the menu. Otherwise, we were very pleased. Looking forward to going back again.!

We started out with a chocolate martini & a Whispering Angel Rose. Both were refreshing and very celebratory for my friends birthday. Since it was lunch, we went straight to entrees. The birthday girl had the short rib grilled cheese which looked exactly like the pictures. She managed to eat the whole thing. I had the steamed clams. The presentation was totally unexpected. It had a pizza dough topper that was puffed up with the clams, linguica & broth nice and steamy underneath. It was an amazing preparation and the dough helped tame some of the spiciness from the linguica. We all said we would come back. I would give this restaurant a solid 4.5 stars as the refill of our water was a big sluggish. Since you cannot rate in 1/2 star increments, I gave it a 5.

It ended up being a great find! The restaurant is spacious with huge windows overlooking the water, which I absolutely loved. It was much too hot to sit outside, so we enjoyed the view from an inside table. We decided to split the steamed clams (without the sausage) and a lobster bisque for lunch. Our server, Sydney, was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The clams were served inside a bread-like pastry. My husband especially enjoyed that part, while I skipped the bread and dug right into the clams--they were fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was rich, flavorful, and just as good. One unexpected bit of entertainment came from the couple seated next to us. It sounded like they were on a first date, and while I certainly wasn't trying to eavesdrop, they were talking so loudly it was impossible not to overhear! They seemed to be having a wonderful time, and it added a lighthearted touch to our lunch. Hope springs eternal! Overall, I was very happy with both our meal and the beautiful waterfront setting. I'd definitely stop here again the next time we're passing through Stuart. The only thing that gave me pause was the dinner menu, which looked a bit pricey, but for lunch this was a very enjoyable stop. You don't need a reservation for lunch so that was a plus. Sometimes you just want to go with the flow, and that is just what we did!
