I was witness to the most abhorrent behavior by the young blonde bartender this past Sunday. The Eagles playoff game was on, there were several people watching the game in the bar area. There was a young man there, eating wings, clapping, and once in a while, he would shout words of encouragement ("Let's goooooo!), he was not disruptive or drunk or disorderly. I witnessed the blonde bartender give him death looks and then come over and whisper something to him as if she gave him a warning.. a little while later he clapped again and then it looked like she was getting upset and stormed over and DEMANDED HIM TO LEAVE, because he was being "disruptive" to "the restaurant patrons' . Meanwhile, there was no one in the restaurant section at all, the only patrons there, were sitting at the bar, watching said game. If you don't want patrons there enjoying their time AT THE BAR, with a Sunday football playoff game that Hurricane put on the tv, then don't put it on! Maybe put on PBS, or CNN, if you want beta male, demure activity. Either way, that bartender was very rude and had no business telling a paying customer to not clap. How ridiculous. I had such a great experience at this Hurricane's! My server was very friendly & I got my meal quickly. The dining area is clean, colorful, and even has an arcade area! I got the Cancun Chicken Wrap with Garlic Parmesan Fries. The wrap was nice and spicy, and the chicken was tender and warm. The fries were great, too! I've had these fries at other Hurricane's locations and they're usually wayyy too soggy. But this location delivered perfectly crispy, flavorful garlic parm fries. Growing up near the original Hurricanes location, it's been a staple in my restaurant rotation for a while. Living out of state now, it's almost always the spot I ask my family if we can go to when I visit - and this time was no different. We were a group of 6 for this visit and the dining room was seat yourself, around 6pm on a Sunday. Our server was friendly, as typical. Food came out in reasonable time, and was hot and fresh. I ordered the BLT tacos with crispy chicken and man this is one of my favorites. Two tacos seems like it won't be enough but it's a perfect serving size. The cyclone sauce is stellar! I tried the street corn as an upgraded side and *chefs kiss*. The environment is loud like a sports bar. There's a big game room for kids. Lots of tables and a full bar. Tons of TVs for whatever game you're trying to watch. This location is nice, and I find Hurricanes to be consistent with quality of food across locations and days. This won't be an over the top, unique experience but it is solidly delicious food. read more

The service here is terrible!! Walked in for lunch, the sign at the front said seat yourself. We sat at a booth in the front and waited 20 mins. No one ever came to greet us, get our drinks or anything so we left. Two other groups of people came in after us and got service. It has been a while since I have had such bad service. It was unreasonably slow, the waitress did not check on us to see if we needed anything, food took a long time, she never bussed the table at all. I had to hand her plates and ask her to take the empty plates from the table. And even then, she would only take the one plate I handed her and anything else in the table stayed there. She completely forgot about one kids meal and when asked about it, showed no sign of concern that the child was hungry, and offered no apology. I had to ask 4 times for the kids drink that came with the meal. And this was all during a time with very few costumers in the restaurant. The steak and avocado tacos were fantastic! The boneless wings looked terribly burnt but actually tasted good. And the tater tots were very tasty as well. read more

Great local bar and grill! The food portions are generous and the drinks are just perfect. We came here with our family to have a few drinks and some burgers our experience was beyond amazing! The food was cooked perfect! Our drinks were poured just right. Everything was clean down to the menu! They have this restaurant very up to par! The pricing on the beverages and food are average nothing expensive. There were 6 of us and we ate and had drinks for under $120. One thing that they should change is the DJ! This place has always been our go-to when wanting wings, as it's got great flavor options. Unfortunately, it's gone a bit downhill and turned into a local drinking spot. It's very open air, so if anyone is drunk at the bar and boisterous, you get to listen to their conversations whether you want to or not. One of the things I always loved about this place was their service, which has gone downhill as well, with The exception of their bartenders who are still very good at their jobs. A new menu has eliminated a lot of the great stuff they had like their cheese and jalapeño queso with homemade potato chips which has been replaced with a blah queso with normal chips. The wings are still good, the beer options soso--they were out of IPA's except for the "popular" Goose Island. Just kind of disappointing to me. This place used to be pretty amazing when you wanted wings or comfort food. read more

I went in to order lunch on my break. So I ordered and the waiter brought back the bill. So I fill out the receipt and gave my card. She comes back moments later and asked if i was working and I replied yes. I asked if she was working hard, she says yes but i'm obviously not because I didn't tip her. And she said this in front of customers. I wanted to tell her off but i took my food and left. I called twice and asked for a manager but guess who answered the phone and hung up both times. We've been coming here for years as a place to get a quick bite. The beers are cold, the food simple and filling, and it's usually affordable. The ambiance is a little funky being in a strip mall along a busy road, but we really like the Tiki tables outside. The waitstaff is always friendly, but the last couple of time we ate there, we left dissatisfied with both the service and food. My wife had the chips and salsa with guacamole. The guacamole was brown and there was enough to dip three chips. The salsa tasted OK, but it seemed to be watered down. I ordered the Baja fish tacos (Mahi). One was pretty good. The other was mushy and fishy. Our server never came by to check if our food was OK. I got no salsa or hot sauce for the plate full of chips that came with the tacos. We had ordered dinner salads and we both finished our main courses prior to them coming, so I went inside and finally found our waitress bringing our dinner salads...for dessert? I had her take them back. She was unapologetic and told me they had put cheese on my salad (I did not want cheese) so she took it back. Sure, it's all my fault. She seemed irritated during the rest of our interactions. I don't think she liked me explaining that I didn't want a salad for dessert. Maybe that was rude, but I was growing impatient. Miss represented there happy hour prices for beer.... Went for happy hour and ask for drink specials....given a piece of paper with a list of beers and told all domestic drafts are $2.50. Got the Bill and was charged $7.00!!! A piece ... Complained to the manager and was told that we ordered a premium domestic that was not on special (blue moon). Saturday night, party of 4. Restaurant was pretty packed, nice and casual sports bar with a seat yourself type of deal. Waitress approaches is quickly, drinks were on the table in a few minutes. 3 people ordered Cabana blue salads that were delicious and came out very quickly. I ordered a steakhouse burger - half pound monster with onion rings. Great burger, bunch of fries, beer was good, solid evening. Waiters were attentive and came by our table frequently to refill drinks and check on us without asking "everything ok?" Every 5 minutes. Definitely recommend. read more

This is a very good place to go for the game or to meet up with friends cause it's a lively atmosphere with colors and tv's and music! So much going on but always a good time to be had. We've ordered the chicken wings (bone-in and boneless), mozzarella sticks, spinach & artichoke dip, queso, burgers, salads, chicken entrees....I mean seriously, I feel like this place is our #1 go to for a night out with friends! When I first moved to Stuart, I absolutely loved Hurricane Wings. I thought the wings were tasty and I appreciated the customer service. Slowly the staff became increasingly rude and aloof. The wings were either old or cooked poorly. I'm not sure what changed or why. When you call over the phone they aren't nice and give off the impression that you are bothering them. It's unfortunate because these wings were my preference every Friday and I looked forward to taking my family there. After today, I will never return to this restaurant. Decided to stop by this past Sunday May 17th to support a local business. I called in my order for a 15 piece wing and fries which was ready n 15 minutes. Seemed kind of fast being that they needed to cook them; well I picked the wings up and brought them home to eat, they were the DRIEST wings I've ever had n my life!
