This is my first time at this restaurant. When you walk in, you can help but be struck at how beautifully designed it is. It's right on the river. There are windows that run alongside the back of the restaurant that gave you a beautiful view of the river and the bridge. I had a lunch of clam chowder and a wedge salad. Both were very good. The menu is pretty eclectic...quite a bit of sushi but fish and meat entrees as well. It is not inexpensive, but you don't mind paying extra for good food and a really good view. I wanted to love it but didn't. The decor is beautiful inside and out. The views are beautiful and it's nice to walk on the boardwalk when done eating. You might even see Brightline go by but the food was not great. We ordered oysters and calamari as apps. I ordered a mahi sandwich with sweet potato fries. The fries had cinnamon and sugar. They didn't go well with the fish. Couldn't finish them. My husband really liked his cheeseburger, however, he ordered plantains as a side after confirming that they were green plantains. Turns out they were the yellow ones. He hates those. Waiter offered regular fries but he declined. Key lime pie was really good as well. Waiter reminded us that they do add 18% to all bills. $150 total including a corona and a soda. I don't think we'll be back if we're ever in the area again but it is nice if you just want to go for happy hour and apps, and the view. read more

In town visiting for the weekend and tried Hudson's for the first time last night. There is ample parking and valet that make it easy to find a spot. Upon walking up, the outside bar had throwback 2000s music playing which instantly puts you in a good mood and makes for good vibes! I ordered two espresso martinis which were delicious and the Parmesan crusted grouper. I thought the grouper was good, but could have been more tender. The dish overall was good. I loved sitting outside and being able to look at the river. Our waitress (I forgot her name) was extremely helpful and attentive. Would go back again! read more

We had been there before for dinner and brunch and always had great service and food so decided to celebrate my husband's birthday there with some out of town guests. Must say it was very disappointing. The service was pretty good. Scott was pretty personable but that's where the positivity ends. Our Reservation was for 6:30. We were seated right away. We did not leave till after 9pm. One guest ordered the a Tomahawk ribeye and it too them 20 minutes to let us know it wasn't available. I believe they held everyone's food back to finish the new order and the other food was cold. I wanted my husband to have a nice birthday celebration so I added the information on the table top reservation, I reminded the hostess and mentioned it to the server and there was absolutely NO acknowledgment whatsoever. Did not do it for some "free" dessert but at least for some acknowledgment or even a birthday song from the staff. NOTHING!! Needless to say. Not sure we'll be back. Very disappointing when you want to impress out of own guests with the Ambience, location and food! read more

Hudson On The River - Beautiful view of the Roosevelt bridge - New American Near Me - Stuart, Florida

The fantastic view of the river and Roosevelt Bridge is complimented by great service and excellent food. The only downside is the outrageous cost. More on that later. We started our meal with a shared iceberg lettuce which was iced cold (as it should be) and big enough for our party of three. Topped with a 6-minute egg and tons of Gorgonzola cheese, it was nicely presented and a great start to our meal. We than enjoyed the Mango Glazed Salmon, which was moist and very flavorful and accompanied by a great assortment of veggies. The Seared Ahi Tuna was cradled in an excellent guava sauce that made the dish. Finally, the Parmigiana Crusted Grouper was great. I often try grouper whenever offered and usually am greeted with a less than acceptable dry fish (especially when dining outside of Florida). However, the grouper here was an excellent choice as it was moist and fell away softly with every bite. All three dished were excellently presented and well crafted. We finished off our meals with the recommended key lime pie. Which could have been a bit tarter for my taste but was nice and creamy. One of our party had a glass of white wine, the other two had sparkling water. The down side to all of this was the outrageous cost of our meals. $210.00 for a party of three with only one drink! That's a pretty hefty price to pay for a meal in Stuart Florida. The bottom line for me is was the value versus the price. The question always comes down to... is the experience worth the price... would we come back? The answer, although a great meal, to all in our party, the experience was not up to the expense and accordingly, we'll leave Hudson On The River as a one off experience... good but not good enough to warrant the expense. read more

Walked in with a large party of 7 with no reservation and we were seated right away. Our waiter was very attentive and provided excellent service. So first off, when we walked into Hudson's we were greeted by very sweet woman, the decor was boho cheek and oh so pretty. I was curious about the little tiki hut attached to the West side of the building (Harlow's Hideout). The hostess explained that happy hour was served at all of the tables out there and it was also the same company, so she "wouldn't be offended" and she said we could head out and seat ourselves (first come first serve). We must have arrived at the perfect time, so we had the choice of any high top. A young girl named Taylor was our bartender/waitress and she had the best personality and she knew her menu...oh and she also knew how to make a great marg! Their happy hour appetizer options were right up our alley. We order probably about 4 rounds of the crispy tuna bites, which is their take on crispy rice! Let me tell you they did not disappoint! We also ordered 2 rounds of the deviled eggs! Definitely the best deviled eggs I have had (besides my own of course). They did not skimp on the filling and you could tell they used all of the OG ingredients! We also tried the sliders, my husband loved them, but he also likes his meat well cooked and semi dry, I'm not saying they were bad, they tasted clean/healthy, maybe some special sauce would do the trick! Harlow's Hideout definitely fills up quick around 4, so I'd say get there before that! Especially if you want to take advantage of happy hour 2-6! We had a reservation for today NY's Day... beautiful restaurant with water view, lovely decor. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was the best calamari I have ever eaten... very lightly fried, tender, delicious - 2 sauces. I ordered the Asian chicken salad - the server said it was spicy and I said great... however I didn't find it to be spicy at all. It was tasty. My husband had the duck and he was very happy with it. Other friend ordered clam chowder and the brussel sprout salad which looked amazing. I will try that next time. Our server was very nice and pretty attentive. Another server / runner took my knife and my friend had clam chowder which didn't have a soup spoon. We asked the food runner for a knife and soup spoon but that person didn't come back. So we had to flag down the server for utensils. I was surprised to be charged for 2 cups of coffee - I guess refills are no longer a thing.. $5.00 per cup, no refill. Perhaps our favorite place to eat on the river. The table and bar service is always spot on and the view of the water is lovely. The food is always good... and you should have the jicama slaw for your side! This place is nice but not pretentious -- you can dress up a bit or come in casual attire but I don't recommend coming in beachwear. Also ... this has a great happy hour! Check it out. read more

Seafood / American Looking for something we haven't tried yet in the area; we headed over to Hudson's on the River for some dinner. We had 7:45 reservations and were promptly seated. The place is large with lots of light and pastel colors - call it tropical without everything being made of wicker. The view is very nice even though we made reservations for inside, there appeared to be plenty of tables available outside. Server was with us in the proper amount of time and got us started with some cocktails while we worked through the menu options. The menu is pretty good sized in terms of selection. For sure the seafood and meats are the stars here, but there is also a decent selection of other items for those who just are eating lighter or not fans of seafood or meats. We started with the surf-n-turf sushi roll as an appetizer. The roll was good sized and perfect for sharing - the roll itself was much better than expected and we both enjoyed it very much. Server had a few specials and we ended up going with the Black Bass special and Duck two ways - who knew ducks went two ways? The meals were both spot-on. Duck was cooked perfectly and the bass was on point. No complaints at all about the food. With all of that, there were a couple of things that were a little off-putting. The place gets LOUD - very loud and on top of that, they have loud music playing. Maybe it was where we were sitting, but it was definitely a bit hard to chat until al little later when the crowd thinned out. Not sure if they pump the music up to drown out the crowd or not but overall, a bit too loud, Waiter was great but he also seemed to be rushing us a bit- I was still sipping my wine and he was like "ok are you guys done?" I asked for some time to think about next steps as I still had my wine. Small issue for sure, but still = let me breath- I had a long week. Outside of that, the place was fine. Prices are on the high side- expected in these times and doubly so for the location. Parking: they had a valet service and you will most likely need to utilize it as parking in this area can be a bit of a challenge. All in all, a solid place and would hit again. read more

I went here on a whim with some friends that recommended it. I am from here ,but hadnt been back since this switched over. The server was fun, bubbly and suggested delicious food items. I couldn't be happier with the food and the service. Its on the water too and with the cool weather was perfection. 5 stars. Our table ordered two of the sushi rolls, and the filet migon, as well as the deviled eggs AND the chocolate flan/ keylime pie. Was well worth the desert spoil! read more

We stopped in at Hudson on the river for a late lunch early dinner. My husband had ordered the bloody Shirley, which is a bloody. Mary made with tequila spicy and he said it was very good and I had a Michelob ultra for appetizer we ordered the calamari, which was very good crispy. It even had crispy fried pickled peppers in with it, and it had two sauces, the marinara and a sweet sauce which tasted like the Pickled pepper juice in with it, and it was very good. I had ordered the Hudson burger with cheddar and my husband ordered the mango salad which came with spring greens, heirloom tomatoes, avocado, sliced nuts and tasted like pineapple cornbread that they fried on the side and I tasted one. It was excellent. They were very pleasant great service. They did remake my burger, even though it was juicy was a little well done inside so he immediately made up a new burger for me. First, we had a late reservation, but they were able to accommodate us at our earlier time, which was nice. The main con was the service; we sat down at 5:30 and our meal arrived around 7pm. This is such a great family spot. My wife had came here with my mom one time and said she loved it so much we had to come back so I could check it out. The food was really good, the service was very friendly and the ambiance is great. We liked how they offered kids eat free with the purchase of an entree (which apparently is only on Tuesdays now but since it wasn't announced, they honored it on this last Sunday). The prices are a little high here without the offer, but it's still worth it. The food is fresh and everything about our visit was great. We will definitely be back. read more

Stopped in for a late lunch today with my mom and kiddos. I've been wanting to come here since we moved to the area about 8 months ago. Finally made it and can't wait to come back with my husband. The food was fantastic, the ambiance is great and the service was phenomenal. There's an 18% gratuity added to each bill and usually when that is the case these days, the service is sub-par; well that wasn't the case today. Our server let us know that with the purchase of an entree, you get a kids meal free, which was so cool! It was a great portion and you can actually choose from any of their sides. I think with location and service it's worth the general high price tags. Food was good. Drinks were good the staff was good I will say that the actual prices of food and drinks is more than most places I've been. The automatic 18% tip is everywhere but it does bug you. This is a review only for the scallop entree. $55 for 3.5 scallops is WAY TOO much. First time here, so did not know what to expect $55 WOW. The 3.5 scallops were tasty and bacon seared, the succotash was good but the pork belly was a bit too crunchy. Sweet potato puree was served with the entree.
