The vibe is super relaxed everyone is super friendly from the reservation on the phone to in person. The rib eye special with the cream of corn outstanding. We did hit a bit of a snag, I ordered my burger medium plus and it came out medium raw. They made it up for it. Ultimately, we will be back. This place is worth all the accolades. Recently tried Citron on my birthday with two friends. We had no pre-concieved opinions, so we were totally surprised at the quality of the food, the service, and the attractive setting. Not only did they handle easy stuff--salad, sandwich--perfectly, but the dressing was amazing. The special of the day--crab cake sandwich on brioche--was terrific, as was everything we tried. I plan on going back often as I live a few minutes away and I was very pleased to find a local place that was not pretentious, served excellent food, had a wide variety of items, and was VERY reasonable considering the quality of the food. Staff here is extremely friendly and accommodating. We were seated without a reservation very quickly and outside on their large patio. It's very pleasant out there - fully screen enclosed, not buggy. There are occasional trains, which are pretty loud but it's otherwise quiet. The food is mediocre at best. We had the Chicken Marsala and a Greek salad with grilled chicken. The food came out extremely fast, but it was clear the chicken was pre cooked. The Marsala sauce wasn't very flavorful and was missing the nuance of better versions I've had other places. The drink menu is solid, but I would say the cocktails were a bit too sweet for our taste. My friend and I had a great lunch yesterday!! It was our first visit and we can't wait to return! We were taken to a table on the screened and roofed patio, our choice as the weather was behaving and no longer really hot! The hostess Shania was terrific! Our waitress Viviana was exceptional. Table is beautifully set and for lunch, reminds me of the high end department store restaurants my mom used to take me to as a small girl back in the 60's. It has that type of elegance to it. Nice to have this place so close by to where I live. The best place to bring a friend to as you can hear one another easily and don't feel rushed to get out. The venue is adorable. White tablecloths, nice bar and great outside covered patio. We would have opted to sit outside. But it was so hot & no breeze. We sat inside even though there was a baby shower going on. But no matter. Shenaya met me at the table & poured water for us all. Cecily was our server. These two ladies were so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Plus, the maitre d, also a very lovely woman, seated me. I had a grapefruit martini which was delectable. My cousin had a glass of Pinot Grigio & our friend had a chocolate martini. We all were very satisfied with our cocktails. For lunch, the ladies had the turkey melt & I had the mahi sandwich. The turkey melts were huge. My mahi was grilled and fabulous. I also ordered the Citron BLT to go for my husband at home. It was stuffed with bacon. I went to the establishment on a Monday at 11 AM for lunch. I ordered the Poké bowl and I have to say it was by far the worst Poké bowl I have ever had. The rice was old because it was dried out and stiff like it had been stored in the refrigerator. They doused the Poké bowl with so much sauce that it was all I could taste. When I told The waitress that the rice was terrible and I could tell that it had been stored in the refrigerator was not fresh. She indicated that she knew exactly what I was talking about. I often order the lump crab cake to go, which comes with an arugula salad. This is a favorite of mine. This time I sat in the beautiful screens in patio to have a late lunch/early dinner with my husband. I also enjoyed the beet and goat cheese salad and a glass of wine. The patio was mostly empty and it was nice to have a quiet place to relax without loud music. I enjoyed being outside, listening to the rain, and feeling mostly safe from mosquitoes. My friend and I had a late dinner here this week. We were delighted to have exceptional service and delicious food. The beef carpaccio with rocket salad was perfect. My pasta and my friend's lobster were large portions (take home!) and delicious. Crème brûlée was soft, creamy and had the requisite excellent crackly top-crust. We have eaten at the Citron in Vero Beach before but never at this location. Our experience was beyond great. This is a charming and well appointed space that is a refreshing departure from all of the generic and drab interiors of most restaurants. We were greeted warmly by staff. Chelsea, our server, was adorable, super efficient and gracious. Our food was superb. We came just for happy hour to sample the vibe, but we left eager to return. The calamari was fresh and decidedly un-rubbery, the wedge was one of the best, and the fish tacos were excellent. I love it when one of your favorite stores is translated into a gastric delight.....even the staff garb made the food seem more appetizing! My husband and I love this neighborhood gem in Hobe Sound. The menu and drinks are well appointed and the servers are always a delight. For lunch, our favorite is the hummus and turkey club. I went for a bike ride with my cousin on a very hot Sunday afternoon on Memorial Day weekend. It had a great casual energy and although I felt hot and sandy from the ride, the staff was very welcoming as we sat at the bar to catch up and nourish. My cousin had her favorite truffle fries and cocktails and I had several glasses of water and a turkey sausage with hot sauce (don't judge ‍‍-I was SO hot...) The staff were very attentive and my cousin said that the food is consistently good when she dines with her husband.
