Had a delicious meal here this evening. Had the Lingonberry porkchop and throughly enjoyed it, also had asparagus as a side and they were cooked perfectly. The service was friendly, professional, our server made us feel very welcome, thank you Sandra. The ambiance is upscale with nice linens and peaceful. My only regret is I didn't try this establishment sooner, wiil definitely return. I highly suggest you give this place a try, you'll be glad you did. read more

I am of polish decent and grew up eating food from Austria and Poland. This is as close to the real thing I've found so far. Awesome flavors and service. Extensive menu to choose from. I love Spaetzle and mushroom gravy. 10 stars. Interior was very clean and well lit. read more

Been here so many times...and it's always fabulous. Classic German food with lots of options for sausage or schnitzel. Their pretzels are always fresh and warm. Potato pancakes and smoked salmon delish. And potato dumplings. And spaetzle. The service is always on pointe and cheerful. And set in a traditional modern German style restaurant setting. Highly recommend! read more

Schnitzel Haus - This is an appetizer...bratwurst, knockwurst and a pretzel. To me...it's dinner and lunch tomorrow! - German Near Me - Hobe Sound, Florida

We went for the first time for our anniversary. Very nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. Our waitress (Deb) was most unpleasant. She acted like she was doing us a favor by helping us and was visibly annoyed when I needed more time to decide what I wanted to order. She never asked us how any of our food was and was overall miserable. We would have had an excellent dinner if we would have had a different server. Despite how lovely everything else was we probably won't go back. read more

I went to dinner with a friend last evening and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. They offer many, many different selections and the service was wonderful beginning with a basket of warm bread. I haven't had schnitzel since a trip to Prague and this was more delicious. read more

Sugar sweet for kids, food weird ? I came here craving real German food and left very confused. There's a bit of nostalgic charm and the service was friendly, but the food was a total miss. I ordered Rouladen and got something that looked--and tasted--nothing like it. I was told it was sauerbraten, which was... generous. Everything was strangely sweet, from the potato salad to the meat, like someone dumped a tablespoon of sugar into every dish. I was told this is "for the locals," and that explains it. This is German-themed food, not German food. Please don't judge German cuisine by this place. Also ended up getting a hamburger asked for it well done. It was so dry. I can't even begin to tell you how my lips curled in. I think this place probably has senior citizen owners who more or less have stepped away from the business and they lit a bunch of people in there who don't got a clue what they're doing. It's sad. It really has potential here. read more

We went for an early dinner. It's a cute place, welcoming and service was solid. We shared the potato pancakes as an app, there were 3 size able ones. I had the pork schnitzel with the sauce, sides were spaetzel and red cabbage. Husb had the veal schnitzel with the same except the German potato salad. Overall we both said food was bland, the schnitzel was beautifully thin and fried, the sauce with mushrooms was a good add but sadly all bland. The spaetzel was lukewarm and tasted like it was uncovered in refrig, the potato salad had a sweet vibe that seemed like apples. The apple strudel with ice cream and whipped cream was flaky and fresh, the best of the evening. Overall it was okay. read more

Hubby and I literally live 3 miles from this restaurant and never tried it. Ok, to be fair, he has been wanting to go but I thought it was going to only have really heavy food and a dark dingy atmosphere. This place is elegant, well decorated and has a nice outdoor patio. We arrived around 4:30 as hubby has to work at 9. This turned out to be the best time to come as they had many reservations. Our waitress Lauren was very attentive and sweet. We started with the pretzel and added a side of beer cheese. We didn't need it as the sweet mustard is amazing!! We asked if they sell it as they have a cute display up front but sadly, just the spicy mustard. She came up with a container of the sweet and we took both.. Our meals came out quickly and were super yummy!! Hubby says "I can't believe you made me wait this long to try this place"! Well, who can say no to dessert when they have butterscotch bread pudding and limoncello cake? Not us!! read more

We had never been here before and honestly won't be back. The atmosphere was really nice and intimate, we didn't have reservations but they were able to squeeze us in which was nice. We started out with salads and I have to say, we both thought it was the best we've had. I and Caesar and my husband had the wedge. I had French Onion Soup which was extremely disappointing. Scooters and Duffy's is much better and everything is more reasonably priced. My husband had the Chicken Pot Pie which he said was just ok but wouldn't get again. We both thought the rolls were average. We aren't big drinkers so we each ordered a soda. Once we ordered, the waitress had a real attitude, probably thinking she wasn't going to get a big tip because it was a smaller ticket, needless to say we didn't see much of her after that, no refills, no deserted, no service. I'd say, save your money and go to one of the many places around here with good food and good service. read more

Excellent meal as always!! We love this family owed restaurant. The halibut was the best fish dinner I've ever had in my life. It was amazing. The skin was crispy. The crab was plentiful. The white rice has a garlic flavor that is amazing. My husband had the short rib ravioli. The rib meat was so tender. The ravioli was thick, almost dumpling like. We have eaten here a handful of times and every dinner is better than the last. Cannot recommend it enough. read more

There are no real German restaurants in Palm Beach County so we took the hour drive to Hobe Sound where Schnitzel Haus is. Martin is a less stress county & sitting outside was idyllic. (Inside was very nice, clean, with a beautiful bar area.) We had brought our pup along & our waitress brought out a bowl of water right away! She took our drink and app order also & returned with a basket of rolls for us. They were quite good, warm & crusty! The bottled beer selection is perfect and we had a German beer & a domestic. Prost! The potato pancakes were perfectly cooked. We intended on saving the last one but it was too good to resist! My partner inhaled the pork schnitzel. It was served with a small cup of mushroom gravy, which he loved! I had the beef rouladen & must say, not only was it tender... it was better than the one I've been making at home. Such a wonderful, rich flavor! Everything along with it was truly perfect. We had the bread pudding with caramel for dessert & again, it was divine! Knowing how delicious everything is plus the fact they have a dog menu as well - we will definitely be back!!! Bravo!!! read more

This is my favorite German restaurant here in the Treasure Coast. The flavors of their Rouladen, Sauerbraten, sides etc are all so delicious. My friend said that the burger was very good and cooked perfectly, as have been the other items that we have had in the last month. The restaurant is clean, the menu is large, everyone is friendly and even the restroom is clean and well equipped. It is a great place to go when you're hungry, as the portions are LARGE, and the desserts are super tasty as well. read more

Family and I have gone here for years. It's our place to go around the holiday season for a nice meal. The sauerbraten is delicious if you're looking for something more traditionally German cuisine. Great restaurant with German food, but also has extensive variety o other food. Place has a nice vibe with very friendly service. As someone who lived in Germany while serving in the Army, I opted for the schnitzel and split with my daughter who ordered the bratwurst combo plate. Both plates were nicely prepared and brought me back to my time in Germany. Others in our group had the halibut. We also shared the apple strudel and loved it. Overall, great place to eat if in a neighborhood near Hobe Sound, FL. Cheers! read more

This place is fantastic! I finally went to the Schnitzel Haus in Hobe Sound last weekend with the family. OMG it was fantastic. I mentioned to our waitress that while I Loved Jaeger Schnitzel, I haven't had a good Pilzrahm Schnitzel (Mushroom cream sauce) since being stationed in Germany. She says hold on let me get the manager she might agree to make that for you. So she comes out and agrees to "try" and OMG she hit it out of the park. Then she says, well if you want dessert, I also make Sphaghetti Ice even though we don't actually have it own the menu. When I say it was as good as or better than what I got in Germany I'm not kidding. This place is legit! I was stationed in Germany and know good German food when I see it. The atmosphere was also great since we went for Lunch and things were a little quieter and less hectic. I'm sure that had something to do with the fantastic service we received. Overall this was an excellent experience. read more

Schnitzel Haus - Spaghetti Icecream - German Near Me - Hobe Sound, Florida

I have always wanted to try Schnitzel Haus but live 45 minutes away. One day my husband went there for lunch with a colleague and came home raving about what he had. We planned a trip to the area for our anniversary with the intention of eating dinner there. I was a little disappointed in our night, the menu is a combination of German'ish and Italian dishes at very high prices. Example $26 for 2 boiled sausages some sauerkraut with a soft pretzel and 2 types of mustards. I will admit it was the best pretzel I've had in a long time. We did go home with leftovers but my curiosity has been satisfied and after leaving with a $168 bill for 2 people we will not be back. read more

My husband and I came here recently for date night and were blown away. The place is decorated with vintage looking chandeliers. Our server was the sweetest person and was very knowledgeable in regard to the menu which let me tell you, it is big! For drinks my husband had a beer and I had the bees knees cocktail. I you like strong tasting cocktails this is for you! For starters we tried their wieners and the billionaires roll and both were great. Their portions for mains are big also, so we shared the veal schnitzel with mushroom sauce and it was to die for! The meat was very tender and rich in flavor. I cannot recommend this place enough! You need to try it. read more

Surprised to read similar comments about 2 horrible female servers here. I had one of the bad ones, she was awful - rude and the worst service. Many other people share my opinion. I was feeling guilty about leaving an honest but poor review. Now I don't. Don't go here. read more

This place is great, have ordered from this gem a few times and everyone there is super nice. Very careful with covid too as they have temperature checks. We ate outside for New Years too, my wife ordered the filet mignon and I ordered the bone I. Veal chop. You know we went home happy. Don't know what else to tell you. Oh yeah. Their burgers are epic. We have been there several times the food is consistently good and the Service is always excellent. The sunsets are amazing.

Wonderful restaurant in Hobe Sound. Classy decor and great authentic German menu. Service excellent.

Had a nice lunch in Hobe Sound at the Schnitzel Haus. We were greeted and seated by the manager Demi who told us about some menu options and Tap beer offerings. Learned a lot about the dishes that we had not had at our old German restaurant. Walked in to a mini gift area that had chocolates, mustards and other cool gift items. The people were very friendly, the tables had white table cloths and I was impressed with the cleanliness. Nice atmosphere and Demi mentioned the seasonal things they do think Octoberfest. Very pleased with the courteous service and even the cook checked in on our food and Rob the bartender also was helpful. Check out their menu, watch for those seasonal specials on food and beers and don't forget to look over those gift items. You'll see some hard to find imported options with a reasonable price. Good Job!! read more

Very good service in a nice environment and excellent food. It is so nice to have good German food which is hard to get in Florida

Went in tonight and walked right up to the bar. Sat down and was immediately greeted by the bartender, Rob (Bob or Robert he answers to them all) He showed us the menus and told us about how fun some of the drinks were. I am German so I tried the cider. Liked it skit cause it wasn't crazy sweet like dine off then. My hubby got the beer flight. They were all great We ordered our food and was pleasantly surprised, pleasantlysurprised .at how huge the portions were. Needless to say we needed some doggy bags but somehow finished all our dessert Stop in and if Bob is working tell him we sent you. He really made the night great. Thanks again read more

The place was a lot nicer than I was expecting. It was busy for a Tuesday night dinner. The food had large portions and were very tasty. However, the service was horrible. Our waitress was very snippy and rude. Three peoples food came out 10 minutes later than the initial plates, they had basically finished their food by the time ours came out. We were also given the wrong plate of food when it finally did come out, we said it was fine and that we'd still eat it since we had already waited. Also had to ask for the gravy on top of the schnitzel multiple times before we received it. Food was on the pricey side, but servings were large. Don't think I would go back since the service was so bad. read more
