Our friends raved about this place, especially the hamburgers and so, we joined them and gave it a try. The atmosphere: The restaurant is ultra modern with a bit of all natural spliced in. It offers dining and a small store to buy some of their offerings. The service: Service was efficient and although our food took longer than expected to arrive, our server kept visiting us to refill our drinks. The food: We all had burgers and fries. The burgers were tasty and juicy and the fries were great. We also shared a honey pie dessert which was also an interesting offering and well made. The bottom line: As always with my reviews the bottom line "customer so what" would we come back? The answer... nope! I'm sure your asking, If the service was good, the atmosphere nice and the food great, why would we not come back? The answer is the price. It's not often I pay over $100 for burgers, fries, a shared dessert and drinks but we did here. The food was good but not THAT good that it warranted that kind of price. read more

I have been wanting to try COLAB forEVERRR and finally found the time! Such a cool place, great vibe, clean AND farm to table. Also, every employee we encountered was so friendly! I will say, being cleaner food, some food was more bland, like my burger. I sort of wished it was like the kids burger at their sister restaurant (District Table), which it may be, but it wasn't as flavorful the day I had it. I also wish fries were an option. Since chips or a side salad didn't appeal to me, I upgraded to their potatoes, which I will say were delish! I was so excited to try their dry rubbed wings that were mentioned in many reviews, but they were no longer available, which ended up working out because their sticky wing replacement were AMAZING! My daughter (10) also really enjoyed her avocado toast which had a bunch of ingredients she's not usually fond of, but once incorporated with the dressing, she has now become a tomato fan! Instead of getting dessert at the table we decided to grab the Swiss roll cake in the market that we had seen on our walk in. If you like real buttercream, I highly recommend it! Alex was our server for our first visit today for brunch. Party of 5, tip... offer the second round of cocktails... delicious, but don't make us hunt you down. :) Food so fresh & locally sourced, pancakes are SLAMMING! Turkey sandwich, omelet special, tamales & smash-burgers all done to order and exceptional! This one is tough. Wife has been wanting to take me here for years. Friday off, beautiful day in Stuart, so we picked this place. We had a great time, probably a few hours just relaxing. Crazy nice. I think our biggest pet peeve is food thrown on your table quickly. We had to ask the waiter to not bring all at once and he said don't worry, he'll space it. Well....we ordered smoked wings which were fantastic!! Minutes when we were done he brought our sandwich (wife and I split a few things). Technically yes he 'didn't bring it all at once' but would have loved to enjoy the wings, digest for 15 minutes or so, and then go to sammy. I hate that rushed feeling and at these prices it ought be perfect. The sandwich, the turkey melt, was half cold, half hot. Like the bread hot, the cheese i can't recall, but the turkey was coldish. When I think melt, I think 'all hot'. So was disappointed in this. And $23. $6 ice tea...wtf. I do get soda's now are $4 everywhere. The kicker w was after a $23 sammy, $6 ice team and $17 wings (6 of them), they charged .75 for some extra dressing we asked for as it was half full. That little s* irritates me. Best burger in the area. And the tater tots that come with it are next level. My husband would have ordered the truffle salad dressing in a large quart size to go if they would sell it....it made fresh greens next to a burger an extraordinary salad for the gods. My sister ordered the soup. She literally licked the bowl clean. We were told that the owner makes it fresh every morning. It's been a little chilly in florida this past week. It really hit the spot. Service A++. Drinks A++. I can't wait for my grandchildren to come visit so we can bring them here. The space was filled with families. A great place to go with people who appreciate delicious farm to table food. The menu is bursting with unusual choices.....don't be afraid. When visiting Colab Kitchen on an extremely busy Saturday evening, one of the members of our party inadvertently left a card wallet at the restaurant. When it was discovered that the wallet was missing, the restaurant was immediately called. Approximately 1 hour later, we received a call that the wallet was found. Not only were all the cards were recovered, the cash in the wallet was also recovered. Thank you to the staff for their immediate assistance, but also for the absolute integrity of everyone involved. My second visit to this unique establishment. Party of 4 with a reservation. My family arrived first and told me we did not have a reservation, we did and my Mom had requested patio seating. Caution we were on the far side of the lawn at a high top. Not ideal for ladies over 75. We will be more specific next time. Salads were fresh with generous portions. We shared the stuffed focaccia. This bread is so good it is difficult to criticize... but the scant cheese is hardly a stuffing. My aunt and cousin had entrees; scallops and fish. They both enjoyed them and made note of not only the taste but the presentation. We shared Orange, Blueberry bread pudding for dessert 2 portions was enough for the 4 of us! First time visitors to this farm-to-table gem that I saw on "Check, Please!" Was excited to try and it did not disappoint! From the ambiance when greeted at the entrance by the quaint market all the way to dessert, my overall takeaway was, "Where have you been all my life?" We arrived during happy hour and dined with another couple. We opted for a table in the main dining area near the lively bar. We started with cocktails and shared appetizers -- brisket nachos and fish dip -- both were excellent. For dinner, my husband and I shared the wagyu beef loin and the daily special cream of mushroom soup (a favorite). Our friends shared the flounder dish and ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts for the table. Everything was delicious. Not one disappointment and the service was on point as well. After dinner we browsed the market and chose two pieces of pie to take home for dessert: Chess Pie and Peanut Butter Cheesecake. I was so full we ate them the next day but both were AMAZING! During spring break I wanted to try a new place near my parents place, and my mom was willing to venture out so we checked out colab kitchen, what a cool place! The whole place is charming, it has a market in the front, indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great! Attentive but not over bearing, I had a delicious BLT, with some Paloma's, and my mom had their tasty wings! I sampled one myself and they were very tasty! I've been coming to this restaurant since it opened, but after today, we're done. We came for happy hour expecting the creativity this place used to be known for, and it was a major disappointment. We ordered the focaccia with pepperoni and hot honey, which ended up being bland sauce on bread--nothing memorable or exciting. The chicken "cacciatore," which we were told is their most popular dish, was dry chicken thighs on skewers with lettuce cups and a completely flavorless sauce. On top of that, the portion sizes were ridiculous for the prices--we left hungry, which says a lot. Dessert was ordered to go, and that was just as underwhelming. We received an extremely thin slice of a wrapped cake and an undercooked lemon blueberry cookie that tasted like raw flour and stale dough. We also felt some attitude from our server when we chose to sit at the bar after looking at the brunch menu and realizing nothing appealed to us--not a great start to the experience. We left hungry and ended up making hot dogs at home--on Valentine's Day. I called the manager afterward to share our experience. He explained that they recently switched chefs and that the owner, who has always owned the restaurant, is now the one cooking. He mentioned that the chef is well known and was also the chef at District, which we've visited--and unfortunately have noticed a similar decline there as well. He said he would pass the feedback along to the chef, and that was the end of the conversation. What makes this even more disappointing is that the service here has always been great--we used to genuinely love coming here. The decline in food quality and service has been noticeable over the last two to three visits, and sadly, this was our last one. read more

Came to COLAB on a Saturday evening. When you walk in there's a little storefront where you can buy items which is really awesome. The inside is big, open and spacious, and there's a huge outdoor area as well. This place can get packed! It was pretty noisy when we went as we were seated at a table near the bar. However, we were seated right away and the service was really friendly. I mean selling point for us on this restaurant, was there sourdough starter. We quickly found out that there were quite a few discrepancies between their website menu and actual menu, so be careful of that. The sourdough was actually replaced with their stuffed focaccia. So we ended up ordering two drinks, the stuffed focaccia, deviled eggs, colab tempura, feta watermelon salad and a kids grilled cheese with chips (or you can get fruit) and strawberry yogurt (I believe you can choose from chocolate or strawberry) I'll start with the tempura which was pretty salty, but it wasn't heavy nor greasy, and came with a nice array of veggies. The deviled eggs were fantastic and we appreciated the fact that it was vegetarian (most come with bacon), the mustard seed on top really kicked it up a notch. The feta watermelon salad was unlike anything I've had before. It was refreshing, flavorful, and guiltless. Nutty, zesty, salty, can't really ask for more (and it was a big portion!) The focaccia was actually the best part of the meal. Granted there may have been too much cheese (which isn't something I ever thought I'd hear myself say), the bread was fresh, thick, flavorful and really filling. They even squeeze freshly roasted garlic for you at the table! Id come back just for this dish alone. The kids grilled cheese probably wouldn't suffice for a typical kid who is a fan of a more 'basic' grilled cheese (but thats fine because then the adults can eat the leftovers :P) the chips were nice and crispy, not oily, and the yogurt was so creamy and flavorful. It was very surprising. For dessert we had ordered (and already paid for) a slice of blueberry bundt cake and a peach bread pudding to-go. Come to find out they were out of the blueberry and the only other option was a lavender slice. The bread pudding was fantastic, even though it was to-go. But the lavender bundt tasted exactly like soap, which I figured it would,, and I wouldn't have gotten it had I not already paid. This definitely wasn't a cheap meal, but it was nice to experience things I wouldn't have typically tried and the food was really fresh. Stuart also has a nice little downtown area to walk afterwards. I would for sure come back as their menu seems to rotate a bit, to try new things. read more

I came here once for lunch and absolutely loved it, so when I was back in the area, I sold some friends of mine from Vero to meet me for happy hour. We spent a good 30 min checking out the store in front before even sitting down. So many great options of desserts, candies, and vegetables to buy. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the nice breeze, while having a few cocktails and some food. The happy hour was outstanding. $5 cocktails, count me in! Also, they do a prefix for $45, which is incredible! They also had another menu with dinner options, outside of happy hour. Service was great. The outside area was awesome. I have dined at COLAB Kitchen several times is the past. Both in the bar and outside. We came in last night to have a drink and decided to order a couple of appetizers. Something has changed as the Charcuterie Board looks nothing like what I have had in the past. It looked more like a deli tray with two types of cheese, slabs of bread and a ramekin of yellow French's mustard and deli sliced dill pickles. No nuts, no honey, no dried fruit, just a meat platter. We also ordered the hummus which was a joke. Dump hummus in a bowl and then drop pickled red onions, dill pickle slices and pickled cauliflower with all the juice and the humus was floating. Something had changed and it isn't good. The bar was completely empty on a Friday night which is not how it used to be. read more

We had such a great time here! We brought our toddlers and they had a blast. Great atmosphere, the food is average, pricing is reasonable, and they have a really cool store to grab goodies to take home at the front. Dominick was our server and I was thoroughly impressed with his service for our 25+ person ground on a very busy Saturday. He was a great sport and so accommodating. You know your true friends when you can enjoy a sober all day brunch. LOL Three of us celebrated my dear friend's birthday: the birthday gal, her husband, and myself. Our reservation was for noon on Palm Sunday. We arrived approx. 15 minutes early and there was a bit of a snafu. The hostess couldn't locate the reservation and when she finally did, she stated it was for 12:45. They remedied the error and sat us at an outdoor high top on a short while later. We waited in a comfortable sitting area adjacent to the indoor bar and chatted for a bit. Once outside, we ordered a pot of fresh pressed coffee and started with a griddled cinnamon bun. I'm not a huge lover of cinnamon buns so don't weigh in too much on my opinion. I wasn't a fan of the well done bottom and I prefer a thicker icing. For entrées, the birthday gal ordered "the best breakfast sammy." It looked epic and she said it was. The only thing she'd change is requesting the egg be more well done. The sandwich looked very filling and she enjoyed it in two meals. Her husband and I both ordered the shrimp and grits. The chef wasn't stingy with the meat nor shrimp and the flavor was superb. Our only suggestion would be a more creamy texture rather than so wet. The outdoor situation at this venue is extremely kid friendly and equally as entertaining for adults. We enjoyed a second pot of coffee as we chatted the day away and ordered some desserts to go. Our server was incredibly efficient and friendly. She did an excellent job. We departed with full and happy bellies. Later that afternoon, we enjoyed the take home treats which included a slice of almond orange bundt cake and some kind of blueberry bar. Both were delicious, but the bundt cake was my favorite of the two desserts. I highly recommend this venue. I've enjoyed both brunch and dinner here. On both occasions, the food and service were superb. I also love the market which offers a vast amount of food and product. Bring your besties to the backyard and make a day of it! read more

Don't let the parking lot fool you, the inside is way nicer! Great looking coffee shop as you walk through to the dining area. They have a large selection of baked goods and other sweets to go with fresh coffee. They have a wide assortment of farm to table items for you to bring home from Micro greens to local crafts. You could definitely go just for some quick shopping or a snack if you wanted to get a glimpse of the atmosphere. They take reservations which is always a nice thing to have when you're hungry. They have a playground for the little kids or the restless teens if you do have to wait or they can't sit still. The hostess was nice and showed us to our table quickly. Our service was good and the waiter had a great personality. He was definitely in the weeds and it took a good bit of time to get our drink order and for them to be delivered. I had the Korean bbq chicken sandwich, which they should definitely consider making a plate as it was hard to eat and started to fall apart. I ended up cutting it up on my plate as did my daughter who got the same thing. It could have benefited from some options other than house chips as a side. They were ok but nothing to rave about. My wife got the vegan option glass noodles and potatoes which was excessively overpriced and she didn't like it that much. She described it as a lukewarm soup of mush. My oldest daughter got the wedge salad and said it was good but nothing special. My son's chicken fingers came out raw like pink and make you really sick raw. Luckily my wife offered to cut them up for him and quickly noticed they were not cooked. This pretty much made me upset and we were not offered any compensation for this huge error. We were all done eating by the time they brought out another meal for him. The manager never came to check on us making me think he was either not attentive or not present. Overall the best thing we had was dessert and when you pay over $200 for five people to eat dinner without alcohol that is very disappointing. read more

Food was delicious. Restaurants was modern and bright. BUT the flies that wouldn't leave us alone while we are eating were disgusting. They open the door to go out back a lot and just don't close it back up so obviously they are coming in. When I mentioned to a bus boy that the flies were all over us ( 3 of them!) and the door was opened he said "it's that time of year" and didn't bother closing the door. It's obviously a big problem at times because the waiter brought us a table fan to help keep them off of our food. Yuck Not a fan of flies while I eat. read more

Always enjoy our visits to CoLab. View is nice, kids enjoy running around. On our most recent visit we tried a few more things. Not Your Grandpas Pimms Cup was great and refreshing. Wasnt a huge fan of the Bloody Mary, though my wife was. She thought was very refreshing and tasted like a homemade mix, but for me was missing something. BLT was good, pretty standard nothing really setting it apart The Happy Sammy was my new item to try, and I was quite excited for it. Menu states it is country ham, which is amazing. Thick, chewy and incredibly salty. I even asked our server (who was great) to make sure, using the words "the country ham, is that the thick and super salty one?". Well, unfortunately it didnt take but a split second when it arrived to look at it and know it was simply a piece of deli ham... what a bummer. Overall the sandwich was still good, but definitely not what it says it is... Would I order it again? Nah. Would I try again if it ACTUALLY had country ham? The owners also own the district I've been told. I've stopped going to the district, been going for years and it just seems to have turned in the wrong direction. The food seems different average and the service is awful. Anyway it appears the same has made its way into Calab kitchen. Service was terrible, I think we saw our waiter twice before the bill came, then he was our best friend. The cocktails I would skip. We sent back the espresso martini's that were mostly water. I think the bartender forgot to add vermouth and chill the martinis. It's really hard to screw up a basic martini but they did. Don't t go for the drinks. Or Apps. Gag the fried green tomatoes used to be fantastic, now there gross, the charcuterie eh, average. The pepperoni focaccia was just ok. Also stay was from the sweet sour chicken app unless you like rubber. Ok with that said the burger is good and the Triple tail is amazing and I would recommend the bread pudding. If I were ever to go for dinner again I would get drinks and apps somewhere before and then just order dinner and a water at Colab. Yalllllllll. My husband looked this place up for Mother's Day brunch and they were having a mothers day brunch Buffett.. We had been here a few times before but only for dinner 2x, the food was good and the pricing was normal for our area. So, we took ourselves and our two toddlers (boys age 2&3) and had Mother's Day brunch. We each had two drinks each (I had a Bloody Mary first and then some fancy off the menu cocktail. My Bloody Mary was $3.50 and cocktail was $13 and husband had two beers $8 a piece) now mind you, we didn't think to look up the pricing for said Buffett because we had been here before and they were reasonable... fast forward to getting our bill and it cost us $426. FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY SIX AMERICAN DOLLARS. For two adults and two children under 4. $100 for each adult and $45 for each child PLUS a 20% gratuity added in. So anyways, there are much better places with much better pricing in the area if you're visiting or if you e not been here. Just skip it. read more

Colab Kitchen is the ultimate urban farm to table experience. We were lucky enough to be seated & attended to by Sydney, she was a total gem! Her recommendations were all spot on delicious, from our mocktails to our grand finale... The to die for, tiramisu-their pastry chef even makes the lady fingers from scratch (mmm I'm still licking my lips from the incredible mascarpone filling) Our girls enjoyed both the strawberry & blueberry pancakes & the play yard that was just steps away from our patio side table. They played w/the XL Legos while we were able to truly enjoy & savor our meal. We had the pleasure of also meeting Jeremy who made the time in between his regular duties to check in w/our table & other guests we noticed, making sure we all felt attended to & everything was up to par. I've been to Colab Kitchen around 5 or 6 times I've brought many friends. The last 2 times I've gone I've been disappointed. The place is immaculate, our waitress was lovely and I'd give her 5 stars, Thank you, Dalice. My dissatisfaction comes with the prices and portions. Maybe because I love cooking so much and know the prices of groceries. On this visit, I ordered the Georgia peach salad with a the blackened shrimp. The salad came and it was literally, like 3 peaches chopped with a few leaves of arugula and goat cheese for $19, the added blackened shrimp $14=$33 for a salad! The taste was delish but really the pricing is ridiculous. Not sure if I'll be back. read more

We really enjoy this place! It's unique and absolutely wonderfully designed, both inside with the huge bar and outside in their "backyard and wonderland"! First and foremost, we adore the market. We come almost weekly for fresh veggies... their lettuce, cucumbers, okra (pink and green), collard greens, kale, tomatoes, etc are all grown on their farm and the quality is fabulous! Buying this veggies may ruin you, but in a good way! They also sell homemade sauces like their BBQ sauce, multiple home dressings, hummus, pimento cheese, labneh!, kimchi, THE MUSTARD!!!!, and the list goes on. All quality and impressive. In addition, they sell Oceano coffee beans, honey, nice trinkets and gift items, frozen meats, and more! They also have a bakery but I gotta be honest... we have tried many baked goods and have only enjoyed one single item. I think their cakes look beautiful but the taste just ain't right. Bummer! They have a restaurant with a limited menu, but really think quality over quantity. I love the falafel plate and hope they never take it off the menu! I've also enjoyed their pizzas and turkey sammie. The brisket sometimes comes out with so much fat on it so I tend to stay away from that item after three strikes. Cocktails are creative and super fun. Their bar program is wonderful and innovative! They have beautiful mocktails as well if you're not drinking. Can't go wrong with their beverages! Service is always professional, friendly, and efficient. This place gets busy, especially on Sundays! They now have social hour where they stay open a little later on Friday and Saturday with a more limited menu.
