First, let me start out by saying that Stevie was amazing. Very professional, very helpful, impeccable service. You can absolutely tell that he has a ton of experience working in the food service industry. Our drink orders were perfect. Great martini delivered just as ordered. 5 stars. We are long-time Kyle G patrons. This was our first time at the Fish Grill. We came on a Tuesday. Upon arrival we learned about the Tuesday happy-tizer specials. We decided to try them in lieu of ordering off the regular menu. Our intention was to try as many of the happy-tizers as we could. Maybe that was our mistake. We will never know because after such a lackluster meal, we won't return. Here is what we tried: We ordered the mussels. Small, chewy, shriveled, over seasoned. Enough said. The shrimp and crab cake reminded me of my mother's salmon croquettes....not my favorite meal as a kid growing up. 2 half-dollar size patties served with a flavorful dipping sauce. They didn't taste like crab and they didn't taste like shrimp. A pan fried paste that tasted like whatever seasoning they used. The sauce couldn't save this for me. A textural turnoff. The dragon dynamite tuna was completely forgettable. The "crispy" rice was not crispy at all, the round discs could have been small, circular cut-outs of Wonder white bread. The tuna topping was more acidic than spicy. And I'm not really sure how you can mix tuna with spicy mayo and come up with a result that actually tasted as dry as the Sahara desert. The fish tacos were fresh, well cooked and well seasoned. They were served with luke-warm fries. Please note, the fish taco is not on the half price happy-tizer menu. The Tuesday appetizer menu is exactly the same as the appetizer menu every other day of the week.... We stopped after 3 disappointing items. Had dinner here this evening and was an excellent experience. The service was absolutely on point, waiter was polite, friendly and professional. This is an upscale casual place (shorts, collared shirt). I had the swordfish Florentin which was excellent. There was a steak and shrimp meal order and I was told it was extremely tender meat and shrimp was perfect. I definitely recommend you try this place, you will not be disappointed. read more

We love all of the Kyle G Restaurants and this was our first time to try Stuart Fish Grill. We especially like the way he designs the happy hour menu with a variety of really tasty small plates, as well as some crafty cocktails. This restaurant did not disappoint. We sat at the bar and ordered two apps, the crab and shrimp cakes and also the shrimp platter which was reasonally priced and high quality. Both items were delicious as all of Kyle G's items usually are. We're never disappointed in either the food or the service. The prices for the cocktails are reasonable and they have a decent wine menu as well. Overall, this business model always works for us. The only recommendation I would make would be to improve the decor inside the restaurant. For the quality of food and service, I felt like the decor was a little cheap. First of all, I'm very bitter about the $19 "service" charge. The service was good but nothing exceptional, our server was not even knowledgeable about the menu and had to confirm a few things with the chef. We came for happy hour and left with a $150 bill. A meal, drinks and app for each but I guess that's reasonable for Stuart these days. Good was good but again, nothing exceptional. I wouldn't be back and I wouldn't be surprised if this new restaurant didn't last. The decor is very inviting but that's about it. read more

My only suggestion would be to put anniversary and celebrations more towards the back and not in the line of constant traffic. But hey, always room for improvement! Went for an early dinner w/friends, happy hour fun!! Nice cocktail selection, we enjoyed took forever to get tho, each order.Started a two apps, the shrimp, the crispy rice tuna which wasn't crispy but tasty. We went to this restaurant infrequently when it was Nostalgias and when the Fish Grill opened we gave it a try on Ash Wednesday and we loved it so much we have been back every week since then. Fantastic deal, for the quality offered. Tuna Nachos were wonderful, loaded with fresh ahi. 3 other apps were great too - making a dinner for two. The food was delicious! We had the Ribeye which was marinated in a Hawaiian Sauce which sounded different but was very good. Our server Tammy was exceptional, delightful and attentive! We went for my bday with a group of 11 people we did not tell them it was my bday till we got there. We were treating exceptional by the manager and the server they even gave us the private room with the tv saying happy birthday and decorated the table. We enjoyed our experience at Stuart fish grill during their opening week! The service great! I ordered the filet with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was under cooked but they quickly addressed the situation and brought me a new steak cooked to my preference. My husband ordered the mahi prepared in the Korean barbecue sauce. We had a wonderful evening at the Stuart Fish Grill. Julia was our server and she gave outstanding service. It was my friend's birthday and the provided birthday confetti on the table- a nice touch. Yes, the noise level ramped up as the evening progressed, but the food quality more than made up for this inconvenience. I had their Chicken Marsala and the gravy was rich with the taste of the wine. We went for the first time for a friends birthday for happy hour on a Sunday. The menu was diverse and ample portions for happy hour . there was a very big cocktail menu and they had discounts for happy hour too. One friend had the tuna nachos. She said it was delicious and fresh one friend had a calamari. It was a nice big size.
