We have heard nothing but good things about District and finally got to come in to check it out. We were hungry which was a good thing because the food was awesome !!! It was kinda meh We made reservations ahead of time, for 7, but they sat us in a cramped table. When we sat down my boyfriend's dad made a comment to the waiter about it. 'Ive sat here before with 6 people and even then it was cramped' her response - 'we will make it work'. Definitely not the response I expected. We started with drinks. I had What's Up Doc & my boyfriend had sip to my loo. They were good but keep in mind that What's Up doc was in a teeny tiny cup... I felt like a shot but at least it tasted good. Side note: do not order Southern Fried - I sampled a sip and it had the strangest aftertaste... The alcohol was so overpowering it didn't feel like a drink that you sit and enjoy. There was not one person on our table that enjoyed that drink. I do have to give credit when it's due though. The starters were the best part of this restaurant experience. Smoked wahoo Dip, Street corn, bread (it was hot but had a gooey consistency - once you taste it with butter you forget about the chewiness), Oysters (they were pricey & tiny - but at least they were fresh) & The Royal red shrimp were delectable. We originally wanted to order the seafood tower but they were out of king crab - and our waiter explained that ordering everything separately would be better for our $$$. I shared a plate of the shaved brussel sprouts & they were pretty good too - I wish I stopped there but my main left much to be desired. It took forever to get our main dishes out from the kitchen. I don't know what happened and there was no explanation given... But by the time my District chicken got to the table the mashed potatoes were cold - yes cold... Not lukewarm. The chicken tasted okay(at least this was warmer) but the sauce made it taste better. i wish the chicken tasted good on its own so i didn't have to rely on smothering it with the sauce. Nothing really memorable about it except the temperature of the food. Now comes the bill. Before we ordered we requested for our meals to be separated from the rest of the party, but when the waiter gets to our table she puts the bill on the table and basically was like 'here is the bill - we can figure out how to split it later'. It's not like our table of 7 was splitting the bill in a complicated way - it was just going to be 2 separate checks but i guess she didn't want to deal with that at the moment before printing it out? I don't know if it was an off day or what was going on. The waiter wasn't terrible - she had moments when she was really nice and made sure to communicate with us about the dishes (she knew the ingredients & how things are prepared), she made sure everything came out how it was supposed to, constantly asked us if we needed more drinks, switched out our forks, was patient with our table... But there were definitely moments where she was snappy. Nothing to cry about - we've all been there. Just wish it was a smooth sailing restaurant experience. Would I go back? Definitely not any time soon - place does get packed so they must be doing something right. It just didn't work out for me & the rest of my group. read more

We found this amazing place while in Stuart. Service was top notch. Ambience was delightful, and the food was something else. On another level. We ordered appetizers first. The smoked cod was absolutely delish. It comes with these huge cracker-like pieces and the waitress literally explained that you have to build up your bite with all that it came with, down to the last drop of hot sauce. It was divine. The baba ghanoush was so different then anything we've had before, it was with walnuts, and other pickled veggies. Simply yummmmy. Don't skip on the order of bread which had cheese baked in it and the two whipped butters were exquisite, especially the scallion butter. It was a celebrated palate for us. (Did not take a pic, because we attacked it as soon as it came). For entrees we ordered the sweet tea fried chicken, which was sooo tender and flavorful. But the rockstar of our evening was the chicken kabob. I have never tasted such tenderness and with the right spices sitting on a bed of mixed greens and tahini. Let's just say, I was gonna lick the plate. Well, if no one was around, I would have. Lol. We did not have time for desert, but with that much of an amazing cuisine line, we are sure it would not have disappointed. Definitely will return. DEFINITELY! And will try desert this time. This was a true culinary experience! Dustin, our server, was so detailed in his explanation of the dishes we asked about. He made us want to order everything! We shared the Wahoo dip, Shaved Brussel Sprouts salad and the deviled eggs. The shaved brussel sprout salad was magical. Topped with a fried egg, the yolk created a creamy sauce that lightly coated the shaved sprouts. It's honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. The wahoo dip is savory and smooth. We devoured it quickly. The deviled eggs were also fantastic. What I loved was the detail... perfectly piped filling. Simply beautiful. Our entrées were just as wonderful as our appetizers. My husband had the Florida Rock Shrimp Lo Mein. The sauce was superb and the bok choy very tender. Perfect shrimp to noodle ratio. He loved it. My niece had the braised lamb. It was exceptionally tender served in hearts of palm with a luscious glaze. She was blown away. I had the Prime Teres Major. I could cut the meat with my fork! The creamed spinach was velvety deliciousness. I asked for roasted brussel sprouts instead of truffle frites. They were roasted to perfection! Their steak sauce was rich and complimented the steak very well. District Table is my niece's favorite restaurant. She wanted us to go during our last visit but we didn't have time. This trip, District Table was our first stop. Our wonderful experience (atmosphere, service and the amazing food) set the tone for our entire vacation. Had dinner at District Table & Bar last night and holy cow! 10/10 We had the smoked wahoo dip for an app and it was heavenly. The really unique "crackers" and accoutrements it comes with definitely elevated the dish. The oysters were tasty as well. I had the ramp gnudi for my entree and I can't say enough about how amazing this dish was! I lost track of how many times I said "oh my gosh" after each bite. I even leaned towards the table next to me and said "One of you needs to order the gnudi!" In fact I wanted to jump up and tell everyone in the restaurant to order it, if that's any indication of how much I enjoyed it! Also had the cinnamon sugar donuts for dessert and they were ::chef's kiss:: easily some of the best donuts I've had at a restaurant ever. They have a menu option to "send a round of PBR tall boys to the kitchen staff" and I most definitely did because boy was it well deserved! Expensive, but worth it! Chef creations are epic with spot on flavors complimented by the exceptional first class service. Visited many times with friends and family. The only negative is the noise level is quite high due to the open space with high ceilings. Some architectural hangings to muffle the crowd notices would be a welcomed addition. Everything was really fresh and well cooked! We really enjoyed the atmosphere - an updated interior and an outdoor fire pit; however, it's directly next to the train tracks so it can get pretty loud. Service was fine - everyone was friendly but it was a little slow. The lemonade was refreshing and the perfect amount of sweet and tart. The chicken kebabs were very tender but they used dark meat, which I personally do not like. Most amazing restaurant we have visited since moving to Florida! Shared oysters, stone crab, deviled eggs (some of the best we have had), shaved brussels salad (to die for, unique favor), bone marrow, octopus and the Steak dish. The steak dish - I've never had anything like it - creamed spinach on bottom, perfect sliced medium rare filet, covered by house made parm truffle fries and a steak/gravy sauce drizzled on top. The street corn always hits right. Presentation can be lacking at times though. It can vary from being nicely mounded on the plate with Fresno chilis topped precisely to sort of thrown together. Tastes good either way but just something to note if presentation is important to you. The district burger and the fried chicken are great and worth ordering. The Teres Major is okay. It was cooked medium rare to order but needed salt. The creamed spinach and fries were excellent. The presentation is also a bit strange. The steak on top of the spinach makes sense but the fries completely obscured the spinach and steak as they were mounded on top. When you get your order it basically looks like you ordered a massive plate of fries and you have to dig around to find your steak that you have to cut in order to eat. The Shrimp Lo Mein did not do it for me at all. Visually it's very beige. It was creamy which was good but otherwise was not very complex. It had about six or eight small rock shrimp. In the future, I'll stick with the staples including the burger and fried chicken. Service has always been fine. Happy hour is 5-6:30 daily at the bar. read more

You've lost that lovin' feelin'!! Decided to go in for my son's birthday and we were not impressed this go around. The creativity from their menu in 2022 seems to have hit a block. There were zero vegetarian dishes the night we went except for a couple of gigantic salads. We chose the District chopped salad to share and it was delicious! I asked the waitress if the chef could do a vegetarian option for me and she said no problem, they'd whip something up. When it came, it was basically their soba noodles from the District noodle bowl tossed in Braggs/soy sauce and bok chewy. It was good, but chewy, super salty (luckily it was a full moon ) and not exactly impressive especially when I saw that they charged me THIRTY TWO DOLLARS for it The District noodle bowl is only $26. I don't understand why I would be charged such a hefty fee for what amounted to 2 items in the bowl: noodles, bok choy We did get our favorite dessert there, it wasn't the same as last time either. The top was burnt and the insides were VERY runny. Needless to say, this restaurant has dropped precipitously on my list of favorites in this area. read more

We decided to try this place after seeing all the amazing review. I must say if those reviews are accurate then they had an off night. The only item we ordered that was good was the street corn. The deviled eggs were so salty they weren't edible. They ran out of bread but didn't tell us for an hour. We waited 1 hour for appetizer again salty deviled eggs. When the burgers arrived they were cold and overcooked. The sweet tea fried chicken was good. The tuna not at all. We were told dessert was on them and they would be removing items from our bill. We were given 3 slices of chocolate pie and that was it. I would absolutely never go back here again what a disappointment. Do better!! read more

Pretty good trendy spot that I wouldn't rush back to. The food is not good enough to be worth the calories. The atmosphere feels very beachy and cool, but I care way more about the food than ambience. Got their signature sweet tea fried chicken, creamed corn, tuna entree, and vanilla soufflé. All solid, but not crazy good and definitely not worth how heavy the meal is. The vanilla soufflé was just eh, and the fried chicken people rave about was pretty generic. We sat in the "vault" and our server, who has only been working here for a few months, was fantastic. Very charismatic and knowledgeable of the menu, and accommodating of my crazy family! Being landlocked in Colorado, seafood is on the brain when I return to Florida. After having a late lunch, I ordered two starter dishes, which ended up filling me up just right! +Tuna Crudo - My favorite of the two. Obviously, the raw tuna was the star of the show. Incredibly fresh and luscious! Well balanced wall of flavors on the plate. +Shrimp & Wahoo Ceviche - Beautifully presented, and again very fresh. In my opinion, a few of the items conflicted with each other to balance out properly. Though I still gobbled it all up! Two very refined dishes for me, while the rest of the crew sampled a whole boatload of items, i.e. pizzas, fried chicken, mussels, vietnamese crepe, etc. A little something for all types of palettes here at District Table and Bar. The Prime Teres Major (main steak dish) was excellent both times I have had it there. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection, and the sauce is delicious - I do wish that I had asked if I could change out the French fries side that comes with it (they taste good, but I just wanted something a little nicer to go with my excellent steak) There were several wonderful red wines on their menu too.
