We had dinner there last night with another couple. Unfortunately three of the four of us were disappointed with our meals. I had the pappardelle pasta and it was inedible. Many of the noodles were stuck together in a large clump and I didn't care for the taste of it at all. My husband had the soft shell crab, which he had previously and loved, but was disappointed this time. Our friend had the tenderloin tar tar and commented she would not order again. Our service was lacking as well. We had to continually flag him down and many items, such as requested horseradish to accompany our oysters, were not brought. It happened to be my birthday and my friend called ahead to arrange for a birthday dessert and was told there would be no problem. He again mentioned to the hostess but at the end of the meal our server had no idea and eventually brought a small container filled with ketchup and a candle. read more

I've been coming here since it opened each year that I visit my family. At first, we loved this restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere. It felt easy. Relaxed. I remember having a really great romantic date night with a lovely dinner here. Now, it's changed. The vibe is very rushed and loud. It's busy and feels really pretentious. I think the prices increased if they added more expensive options to the menu. We went recently and it was so loud and overcrowded. The waiter was so rushy and just not friendly...just fast and kinda know it all attitude. The food was not as good as it was in the past either. I got the grouper in the chowder sauce. It's an expensive dish. It ended up being so bland and not very filling. I can't believe I spent so much money on it. I needed to salt and pepper it like crazy to create some flavor. The tuna appetizer was really tiny and drenched in a tasteless vinaigrette. I went to a different restaurant around the corner and paid half the price for a tuna appetizer and got like 5 times more tuna. Buyers regret after coming here. We probably won't return. read more

I've been staying on Hutchinson Island for a month and a half. Most reviews of restaurants in the area have 4 and half stars. Sooo overrated. This is the first real 5 star restaurant in the area. Every dish we tasted was authentic and original. I'm a foodie and this is what a real restaurant should be like. Our waitress, Stephanie was awesome. And Wednesday is half price on bottles of wine!!! Last night was my first time dining at District Table. It was the most amazing experience. It was fun to sit at the kitchen bar and watch all the magic being created. Every dish made my mouth water. I am normally a very light eater. A small plate or two is usually it. Well us three gals ate our hearts out. We can't wait to go back and try some of the other options! We had the watermelon salad, truffle fries, pork belly buns , street corn, pork tostada, fried green tomatoes topped with crab. Then the desert. Brownie s'more and warm doughnuts. Heaven. My family and I love coming here when we are celebrating something. The food has always been great. Some of the dishes have been a little over powering as far as flavors go, but we always try new dishes when we go. The ambiance is great with an open kitchen if you wanted to sit and watch the chefs while you eat. The service is also on point. read more

Thank goodness for Yelp and the recommendations of new restaurants. Because holy wow. This place was incredible!! The food. The service. The drinks. Everything was super on point!! We made a reservation and arrived early and they were able to immediately seat us. The ambiance was so awesome! It seems like a great place for a date, an early family dinner, gathering with friends and happy hour over at the bar. I loved the different lighting and decorative spice racks. And I loved even MORE the open wood fire pizza area. Very nice! Before I ordered I went to the bathroom. I have this weird thing about restaurant bathrooms to see if it was thought of during the design process (I know I know weird-hello my profile pic is from a bathroom, but I digress), and YES! It was so cool looking!! It was dark and sexy with cool writing on the wall about seasonal ingredients. So, moving on. Our server was SO attentive! The staff worked very well together. Whenever there was an empty plate, they used teamwork to clean it up to prepare for the next dish. She gave us recommendations and all! And I loved that what looked like the manager was helping out and chatting with guests. Love that. Now to the food. The delicious fresh food!! We started with 6 pickled shrimp. Those things seemed like they were literally caught just hours before they were so fresh! The dipping sauce was delicious!! Next came the deviled eggs, and the MAXICANSTREETCORN!!!!! (yes that was necessary). So good. Goodness. Then I had the scallops, my boyfriend had the shrimp and grits. Again, so delicious. The scallops were cooked perfectly and had some great stuff on top. Sorry I don't remember what that stuff was, but that stuff was great! The shrimp and grits were different, I hadn't ever had grits that way but I tried it and I was pleased!! I incredibly made room for dessert. Because why not. So glad I did. Fresh cinnamon donuts that you've gotta shake up!! You've gotta always make room for an interactive dessert. I loved the option of still or sparkling water right out of the gate. The wine selection was excellent! Their Roasted Vegetable Salad is fantastic, so much flavor, loved the pickled celery in it. Drove over from Jupiter, it was totally worth the drive. read more

I was really excited to try this place out and had high hopes. I ordered the sweet tea fried chicken, and when I cut into it, it was literally purple. I showed my server, and she gave me a cocky response as to why the chicken thigh looks like that. Regardless of what part of the chicken it was, the center was raw. The service here was terrible, the restaurant opens at 5pm, my family and I got there and ordered at 545pm. My husband ordered the burger and I the prime teres, we were told it would be a bit of wait for our food, which we thought odd as the restaurant is only open 5 hours , were they not prepared? We wait half an hour, the server didn't approach us till then to say we're sorry "some mixup happened" and it would be longer..she offered a second round of drinks. My husband took his and I did not. We approached an hour and we're starving, our toddler was getting tired, we ask our server how much longer, she has no real answer other than " I know, we're prepared to offer desert." We ended up leaving without eating..for the price range of the food at this restaurant I expect better service or at least better problem solving my skills. The table next to us that arrived after us, ordered, received, and finished eating before us. This is one of our favorite local places. There isn't a bad option on the menu, and they have some of the most unique menu options in town. The draft beer selection is always changing, which is great when you want to come in regularly and try new things. Their happy hour has great appetizer and drink options! Their street corn is my favorite bite of food I've ever had and we get it every time we go. We also had the steamed buns tonight, which were stellar. Never thought I was going to give District Table a try until I was invited to a business dinner. I have to say, the overall experience was remarkable and I will definitely return. We were seated and our server was more than welcoming. He was patient with our questions and requests. We started with drinks, they have a decent size menu for drinks. Then we dived into appetizers. We ordered the street corns, devil eggs, and the basic flatbreads. The street corn was spectacular, reminds me of the street corns I always get as a kid growing up in Vietnam. But the lime made it so exceptional, never thought limes would compliment the sweetness of the corn so well. The devil eggs was "alright" nothing about it stuck with me, except for the way they represent the dish, why put the extra yolk on the bottom of the egg. The flatbread was also "alright" I cannot remember how it was to describe it, so I guess it did not leave a big impression. Then came time to order the entree, our server way to describe the dish makes me want to try them all. Ended up making a deal with my friends so we can try each other dishes. I went with the yellow edge grouper and my friends went with the "perfect" ribeye and the sweet tea fried chicken. The grouper was cooked nicely, not over cooked like some other places. The sweetcorn and the sauce underneath complimented the fish really well. I wish the portion was bigger. But I'm glad it wasn't so I have space for dessert. The ribeye is indeed perfect, cooked to a medium, it was so tender it melted in my mouth. The garlic cream spinach paired well with the steak and the special house steak sauce. And the truffle fries is just splendid. How can something so simple be so good. The sweet tea fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Unlike many places where the inside is dry out due to over frying. Then came dessert, we ordered the donuts, roasted pineapple cake, and buttermilk pie. The donuts with white chocolate cream and tangerine basil cream were "alright". The buttermilk pie came with sweetcorn ice-cream. I have to say is the sweet corn ice-cream is different... after having sweet corns for appetizer and on my entree, my taste buds were confused with the sweet corn ice-cream. My favorite is the pineapple cake. It was perfectly baked. Was not too sweet, the coconut ice cream complimented the cake well. I was happy to find another gem in this town. read more

Not a good experience I'm sorry to say. Not our first rodeo here, but thought we'd give it one more try. Nothing we ordered measured up. Fries appetizer was greasy and served barely warm. Grilled oysters overwhelmed with liquid, again served only warm, clearly too much lemon juice. Evening was slow so there was no excuse for service room temp food. Tuna appetizer was the sinewy muscle toward the tail that I use for chowder in a greasy, pretty much tasteless sauce. We catch a lot of tuna and there's so much good tuna to be had in Stuart, there's no excuse for serving the least desirable part of the fish in a raw dish. Service was good, ambiance is clang clang clang noisy, like a Chipotle. Really wanted to have a better experience as the restaurant is nearly in our backyard. Very disappointed. This restaurant could not have been less accommodating. We looked so forward to bringing our daughter from out of town to District Table. We reviewed the menu beforehand as our daughter has Celiac Disease and found options that with a little accommodating would be great for her. After ordering cocktails we asked if we ordered the Smoked Wahoo Dip could we have a cracker or 2 that comes with the Wahoo Ceviche as they are quinoa crackers and that way she could try the dip. We were told no....we asked the server to go check with management as this seemed so unreasonable....the Server came back with the same answer...no. Unbelievable. We have dined from Miami to Jacksonville and have found any upscale restaurant more than willing to substitute in a case of a health issue wherever possible....and it was possible because the other crackers were right there on the menu. I also asked for new silverware for my main course as mine had fish dip on them and was told I had to use the dirty silverware. This was early in the evening, they couldn't possibly have been out of silverware as there were rolled up ones on empty tables by us. Located in an old bank, their heartwarming interior welcomes you to a farm-to-table menu highlighting seasonal selections that will make your mouth water. When I asked our waitress "what's special on the menu tonight," she quickly replied that "everything's special!" Indeed, this is true! The attentive awareness of all staff makes you feeling taken care of but not bothered with interruptions. And for desert?
