They had it mounted and I was on my way out the door in no time. The only bummer was the siping machine was broke today so he will have to go back to get his tire siped. I've used the Eugene Discount Tire store several times. Always great service and accurate information regarding tires for either my truck, car or 5th wheel trailer. Good prices. Only 'somewhat' negative is wait times, which is reflected in the number of customers in the store. All associates were busy with customers. They now have an outside 'check in' which helps. They also accept appointments to shorten wait times. I'll keep going back because of the service, prices, and number of stores across the country, which helps while traveling. read more

I bought a set of 4 tires for my older Lexus that eventually started breaking down in the middle of the tires (flat spots, cords showing, horrible wobbling). Rude. Unsafe. I had a slow leak. Woke up to low tire,14psi. They refused to air up my tire or let me air it up myself because it was low. They refused me service and forced me to drive on a flat. I hope they sleep well knowing they forced a family to drive unsafely. There are no gas stations on w11th with working air. I suggest avoiding at all costs. read more

I've been customer of Discount Tire for over 25 years and I'll never do business with them again. Today, I came in for a tire rotation. They told me that they cannot rotate my tires because of low tread depth with the average being 5/32. The ones with the most wear were going to be rotated to the rear anyway. They tried to sell me a new set of tires. This place is all about the upsell. I'll be taking my business to Costco from now on! read more

It is so disappointing when you rush out to your car in the morning, coffee in hand, cutting it close to being late for work, only to find your tire is completely flat. From past experience I knew Les Schwab would get it done, but at the cost of waiting hours (and not being able to make an appointment for general service), mediocre service, and a fat bill in the end. It's hard to defer to anyone else though because Les Schwab insures their tires and when you're in a pinch it's nice to have that security. Les Schwab has kind of monopolized that reputation but they're not the only ones who offer flat repairs and replacements at no cost when you buy their tires. Joe diagnosed my tires and discovered three of the four were in disrepair. I could only afford a pair but they were so concerned about the third, so he gave me a used tire to tide me over until I could afford the rest. I walked in on one of the busiest days and waited about an hour, but I was honestly expecting to wait longer based on my experience at Les Schwab. But these guys also have the courtesy to keep you posted through the process which was so helpful for me. I so appreciate the exceptional customer service of Joe and the rest of the crew. They truly went above and beyond. In the event that I run over a nail, I know I'll have their support as well which brings me great comfort. For the record, I paid $188.50 for the medium grade tires, installed (plus a free used tire to tide me over). They have a price point for every budget and if you're in dire straights they hook it up. A great crew! Couldn't recommend them more! read more

Go to America's Tire only if you want more than just your tires messed with.. My coolant light was on, but I already knew the source of the problem/leak & had an appointment with a mechanic to get my water pump replaced. Apparently, America's Tire thought it'd be a good idea to unscrew my radiator cap & LEAVE IT ON TOP OF MY ENGINE. Imagine my surprise when I popped my hood to add coolant as soon as I got home. I will never ever go back to them & urge everyone I know who is getting tires to do the same. Go somewhere reputable like Les Schwab. They may be a tad more expensive, but I think good service is definitely worth paying extra for. read more

I have purchased many tires from America's tires so when I called them I believed they gave me a good price on a set of new Michelins that they said they would have to order in. I needed the tires for a planned trip on Monday. It was a Wednesday when I called. They didn't have the tire but promised me first it would be in on Thursday. I called back and they told me they would have it early Friday. I made an appointment for 9:00 a.m. on Friday. An hour later I realized I had a commitment so I changed it to 2:00 p.m. That, I felt would give them a little more time to check in the tires. They acknowledged it. It was busy on Friday as I showed up three minutes early and waited 20 minutes just to get up to the counter. I identified myself, telling the fellow I was here for the tires. He pulled up the ticket and looked to see a -4 in his inventory. He told me they had just gotten in an order and he would check. Returning five minutes later he announced that it had missed the Fedex truck and they wouldn't have it until next week. He asked me if anyone had called. "No, they hadn't," I replied. I cancelled the order--I would be gone on my trip. It is about ten miles from my house to their store so at least it cost me a gallon of fuel or more round trip plus the wasted time. read more

I had a terrible experience here. I went in on Wednesday for a nail in my tire, they told me they needed to order a new one. I asked how much and how long. The guy said 1-2 business days and about $200. They called me later that day and tried to get me to pay $298. I said no and he immediately lowered it to $199. I waited a whole week before calling. They said it wasn't in and wouldn't be until that next Friday. I told him I had been told 1-2business days and he made excuses. He said it would be in Friday. I asked if I needed an appt for Friday. He said no just come in and they would get me in and out. I show up Friday after work at 5, like I had told the guy...1hour and 45 min wait. I left, pissed, with AN APPOINTMENT the next Monday. Someone then called me on Monday and said my tire had come in on Friday and was I coming in? I told him I had come in on Friday and it had been an hour and 45 min wait! He said I should have asked for a certain guy. HE NEVER TOLD ME THIS! Every time I talked to someone on the phone they made it seem like this was MY fault. Unbelievable! Finally 10 days after the start of this, I got my tire replaced. Not going back. read more

I've had a lot of problems with this place. Last year they refused to put my studded tires on my car saying they were way to work out. My husband and dad said they were fine, and so did Les Schwab who ended up putting on for me. I feel like they are always trying to sell me new tires when I do the need them. read more

This Discount Tire location went above, and beyond, the call of duty for us. We had purchased tires at an independent tire store last year and ended up having a blowout on one of the tires. We contacted the initial store that we purchased the tire from and they were not responsive. We contacted Discount Tire and they said "no problem" and within 2 weeks the tire had been received. I always used America's Tires while in California and so when I moved here for school I continued to do so. The staff are always knowledgeable, friendly and do not hesitate to explain things as they are working with you. I went in for a routine tire rotation, but turns out I had UV cracks and decided to change them on the spot. I don't remember the guy's name that helped me (sorry) but he did explain to me what it was and tried to find me the best discount for it. They are fast and courteous and a whole lot cheaper than Les Schwab.Also Les Schwab doesn't take appointments but Discount Tire does. So instead of waiting in line all day for Les Schwab, you get an appointment at Discount Tire and pretty much know what time to be there and how long you will have to wait to be done. read more

Two weeks ago I found out I had a leaky tire and it could not be patched. Worse, I quickly found out that my after market rims use a different length of lug bolts than my stock spare. I called Discount Tires and not only did they have the bolts, the did not charge me. This small act not only earned them my business when I bought a $600 set of tires, but they will have it in the future. Let me just start by saying that I used to work for a tire/alignment shop, so I am well acquainted with accidents/mistakes. I bought a set of four tires for my project car. I brought in my rims and had new tires put on. I brought them home and they vibrated excessively at anything past 50 mph. Took them back and had them re-balanced. Brought them home and they vibrated even worse. So I took them back in to see if the tires were out of round and they said the tires and wheels were perfect, so after re-balancing yet again I apprehensively brought them home again to check. This time they got it. So in total, I made five trips which were 60 miles each to get a single set of tires. This would not include my time spent during all of this and the massive amount of frustration I experienced. I will not be returning because of the inexperience of the mechanic staff, but I am thankful for the sales team which was determined to re-balance my tires so many times. BTW I do love the tires, ohtsu although an economical tire is surprisingly grippy in dry, wet, and loose gravel. read more

Came into Discount Tire to have my tires rotated for their first time ( bought the Goodyears from DT in December) and was surprised to see a full parking lot and a busy waiting room. I had an appointment for noon, but my truck wasn't serviced until about 45 minutes after arrival. Situations like this are always frustrating, but Danny the branch manager was very kind and made me feel better about the situation saying that they were abnormally busy that day. Danny assured me that he put two guys to the job so they could expedite the process and have me out the door ASAP. He was right, and even gave me a phone call two days later to apologize again about the inconvenience and asked if there was anything further he could do to make me feel better about my experience. I politely said no because honestly I couldn't be unhappy with the work and prices that DT has to offer, as well as great customer service that Danny made known. read more

I thought I had found a good alternative to Schwabs for tires on my commuter car. The first time I went into the West 11th store was great. They sold me the tires I wanted and didn't try to upsale a bunch of stuff I didn't want. This time wasn't quite as pleasant. I bought two more tires and even received some money off for mileage warranty. When I went to leave I was handed one of my lug nuts and told it broke off when they were changing the tires. He showed me that it tightened down to the wheel then broke off flush. The best part is they told me it broke because it was "gummed up" from when I rotated the tires myself. He then recommended someplace for me to take it to get fixed, at my own expense! I asked how in the hell is it my responsibility to fix a lug nut that they broke off?? That's B.S. If the threads were messed up the how did he not only take the lug nut off but put it all the way back on before it broke. How great is that, not only do they break something on my car but then they blame me for it! That's horrible customer service over an $8 wheel stud. Needless to say I won't be visiting the Eugene West 11th store again. read more
