Have been going to discount tires for quite some time. Great customer service, good price and quick!

I am regretful to have to even write this review. I have used Discount Tire for years. Literally have gone out of my way to use them. There have been 3 separate incidents I want to share. I bought all new tires for one of my vehicles and noticed a shake one day after they were installed. Brought it back and the lug nuts were loose. They said this never happens and I chalked it up to being a one time mistake. Brought another vehicle in to have a tire sensor installed. They brought the vehicle in put it on jacks and sent us on our way. Light for the sensor came on one day later. Brought the vehicle back and they literally forgot to install the sensor... The said this never happens and I figured it was a one time mistake. Both of these two incidents I noticed they purposefully decided not to document and write it down. The information was only given verbally. On 05-28-21 I brought my vehicle in for a tire rotation. On 08-07-21 I noticed a violent shake in my vehicle. I pulled over and my lug nuts were literally so loose I could remove them by hand. I tightened the lug nuts the best I could and got to the nearest Discount Tire I could find. They found every one of my wheels was not torqued properly. Cost me $1500 in repairs and expenses to have my vehicle repaired at another shop. Discount Tire Corporate offered to reimburse me for the repair and expenses IF I signed a document releasing them of liability and saying it wasn't their fault. I denied to sign this document and they refused to reimburse me. I took the time to write this cause if that tire would have came off two lives could have been lost. More important than the money is my safety and the safety of others. They do have inexpensive tires but it's not worth serious injury. I will never use Discount Tire again. If you read this I encourage you to not use them as well for your safety which is the only reason I am here today writing this. How many other people have they bribed to release themselves of liability? read more

Same thing happened to us yesterday as happened to Skylar. Adam had our tire "chucked " after trying to sell us tires and we said just repair flat. had to go back to work when he conced to repair. after work when we went back to get it put back on, the kid handed us the wheel only. said Adam had them "chuck " the tire. made them go get the tire out back. had it fixed down the street for $20.00 Photo of Skylar C. My mom took her BRAND NEW 2023 HRV with less than ~500 miles on it to this location because she had a screw in her tire. She made an appointment in advance, and when she showed up the guy barely looked at her tire before claiming it was in a spot that made it so he couldn't fix it and said she needed a whole new tire. He then said the kind of tire she needs is on back order, and THEN tried to get her to replace all 4 not knowing the car and tires were brand new! Luckily, my mom is smart and the second place she took it to immediately said "100% I can patch that no problem". Before taking it here she'd also called a couple other tire stores, and weirdly enough her tires weren't back ordered anywhere else and she could have gotten them in a day or two. Horrible money hungry place, do not recommend. read more

We are on a road trip in a rental car and we had a slow leak. We were in a hurry to get to an appointment in Medford. Trevor got our tire fixed and got us back on the road quickly and we didn't have any bill to pay. Great customer service! read more

This business rocks! I made an appointment for new tires. They matched Costco tires on sale price. They are extremely courteous, very clean inside and out and timely. Six months after installation, we were back for a rotation. Appointment made and honored once again. Can't say enough nice things about the team at discount tire. We were very impressed. Good guys, and they do good work, but their scheduling system is an absolute mess. I had a 12:30pm appt, made several days in advance, and after checking in at 12:10pm, was told it would be an hour and a half wait. I got out of there at 2:15pm. The worst part: My appt was for simply swapping one set of wheels and tires for another: No mounting, no balancing, no repair -- just five lug bolts times four wheels. (When they finally pulled my car into a service bay, it took them 10 minutes to do the swap.) And, I was one of a half dozen (at least) customers in the same boat yesterday: People who had appointments, took time off work, and were delayed by one to three hours. The reps made lots of excuses, but none of them were particularly convincing. The bottom line: You can't trust their scheduling system; it's badly broken. But, you can trust their work. read more

Took forever. Told me in the morning it would be an hour... got there and they said it would be 1.5 hours from my appt. Then almost 3 hours later I had tires. They gave me some story about why they were running behind, but never apologized or comp'd anything. read more

These guys are the best! They will check your tires and brakes, and put air in your tires; all for free. They give you honest answers. I feel. I can completely trust them. If you don't need any work done, they will tell you that, and not try to "make a sale""." They are so helpful, nice and friendly. I highly recommend them! read more

Kyle went above and beyond my expectations. I brought my car in (that has hard to find 19" low pros) on Saturday because the tire was losing air. Within 45 minutes a screw was removed from my tire and the flat was repaired! Come the next day I noticed a rather large slit in the side wall of the tire. I brought it back in and was kindly told he isn't sure what happened but that they should've brought it to my attention and he apologized. He offered to put a brand new one on for FREE! I ended up putting all new fours on since the ones that were on the car were from the dealer originally and would probably not last much longer than a year. He gave me a heck of a deal and ensured I would be taken care of. He did not pressure me nor try to convey me in those nasty up selling salesmen techniques. He simply said there are two options and no pressure to do one or the other. I could've walked out with a free one, but decided under my own will to do all 4 as I have had so many issues with the Goodyear Eagles. Being a woman, I truly appreciate this treatment from Kyle, as I have been taken advantage of before. I will forever be a Discount Tire customer! When you by tires rated for 45,000 miles and they last 13,000 miles before they go virtually completely bald and they tell you they can't give you much at all towards replacement tires despite this fact and try to tell you your "alignment might be off" or "you must be peeling out." They were "doing me a favor" by giving me a discount towards new tires and then quoted me over $700 WITH THE DISCOUNT. Nope. You want to know why the word Discount is in their title? Well now I know. You get what you pay for. Complete shysters. (Also - found cheaper and better tires online at both Costco and Les Schwab websites...taking my business to one of those). read more

While these guys, and it is only guys, are fairly nice I feel very uncomfortable going here for service after today. They were having a morning meeting when I arrived at which no one was wearing a mask. This was inside the waiting area not outdoors. And after they'd opened some of the counter people were still only wearing masks as chin warmers. While some may not find this a problem, I am immune compromised and it's a big deal for me that service people aren't adhering to mandates. It leads me to wonder what other corners they cut with regard to safety. read more

Competent but somewhat unprofessional. The gentleman who checked my vehicle in was simultaneously making jokes on his in-ear microphone to his other coworkers, and I couldn't tell if he was talking to me or not. The gentleman who checked me out talked very fast and I had trouble understanding what he was trying to explain to me about my tires; I had to ask him to repeat it a couple times. They have a very loose definition of what "Appointment" means. I arrived early for my appointment, checked in, and then had to wait literally more than an hour for service. The service took all of 11 minutes (I watched the clock.) What is the point of setting an appointment and then being ignored or taking people on a first come basis anyway? (that's a rhetorical question.) Oh, and if you don't heed my warning and you go anyway, be sure to bring earplugs because the sound level in the repair bays is jarringly, frighteningly loud. If you weren't already pissed about being made to wait so long, the added noise level will add the cherry on top of a frustrating experience. TL; DR They do a very poor job of honoring appointment times. It took me 2 hours to take care of a 10 minute procedure. You have been warned. read more

Went in to buy wheels and tires for my truck. The wheels i wanted had a wait time of 2 weeks to 2 months and since i wanted them as soon as possible due to current wheels being damaged i decided to buy something different even though I really wanted those wheels. I picked a different set of wheels and I based that choice mainly because they were in a warehouse in LA. I was told everything would be ready in a few days and here I am, 2 weeks later still waiting. I call every day and they keep telling me that they will be in tomorrow but tomorrow never comes. read more

Aside from having, by far, the best prices on tires, the people who work at Discount Tire in Eugene go above and beyond any and every expectation I have when it comes to exceptional customer service. I went with a spare on my car and my deflated-due-to-a-screw tire in my trunk, and they had me out of there in about 30 minutes! It was amazing! Additionally, the inside of the store was exceptionally clean and well-kept. Not only were they prompt and attentive, they also were very professional and polite. Thanks for making the extra effort to check and repair my tire that had been patched by another tire business last week, but had begun to lose pressure after I thought the first repair was OK. Today, I stopped by Discount Tire to have a free pressure check after seeing a warning light on my dash. I was given a quick appointment and, after being told at first that the tire was probably not repairable, the tire was checked further and it was found that the first patch/repair was defective. Further effort to repair and re-patch the tire proved to be the solution and cost me nothing!! They actually let me try on a wheel that they had in stock that was just not the color I wanted- they just put it on for me to look at! Amazing customer service. If you're looking for new rims, THIS is the place to go. They beat all other prices, with labor too. Tires are less expensive too. They have so many wheel options on their website, and they ship to the store quickly. They are also very flexible and good at solving problems you have with the product. I wanted to go from 16's to 20's on my truck, and they said it would be tight but again when they tried the wheel on they showed me the clearance and explained how it would fit. I'd been having some trouble with tire service lately, so took a longer drive than usual to give them a try. What attracted me was the on-line reservation system, but of course practically anyone can *take* a reservation. Following through is the hard part. I have to say that Discount Tire came through marvelously. The place was packed when I arrived, but the in five minutes it took for them to take my appointment, they had moved out half their customers. Nobody was standing still. They gave me an estimate of 45 minutes for my service, and had me out the door in 30. Impressive. They know what they're doing and they do it well. And on top of all that, they're friendly about it. In the midst of the quarantine I had forgot about the need to change our out studded tires by 4/1. Yesterday I ordered tires online and made an appointment for 9:00 this morning. I pulled up and they came right out to may car, checked me in and directed me to the open bay. I was able to sit in my car while my tires were changed and I was out in 25 min. Found a very suitable tire option, used the payment tool of a new Discount Tire credit card (all using the website the evening before), and was met the next morning at the 11th Ave location with cheery dispositions by the lead fellow for the check in area (met me at the door as I walked in) and at the close of installation by one of the garage fellows (who gave me the final paperwork and pointed out the perks re free tire rotations and puncture repairs). All done in about 45 minutes from arrival to departure. Wow! read more

Made a appointment to go in and get my tires balanced because my car wasn't running as smooth after hitting a deep pothole. I stood at the check in table for 5 minutes and no one came to help me. I then walked to the back counter where 5 or 6 employees are standing around socializing. One of them told me they will be with me shortly at check in table before I even said anything. So obviously they saw me. They send a young man to help me and check in. He scans my tires then tells me they don't work on tires lower then a certain depth left. My tires are still fine but they wanted me to buy new tires. I told him no and just balance the two front tires that where okay according to their rating system. The employee goes and talks to his manager for a while. In the mean time another customer walks in who doesn't look like me and goes up to the counter and gets help instantly. The employee comes back and says they can not balance the two front tires but they have a Discount Tire Credit card that I can apply for and purchase 4 tires. What!? I came in for a simple tire balance not even a rotation because I had already done it a month ago before this road trip. This location is only in the business of up selling not customer service or helping if they can't make more money off customers. Save your time and money and go to Les Schwab down the street, who helped me fix my issue afterwards with no fuss. read more

My daughter needed a valve stem put back on one of her tires the tires were low tread but still legal they refused to do it and would not even put the spare on she had my grandkids with her they would only sell her new tires which they are low income family. They may have a big banner reading "We beat Costco!", but you better do your homework before you believe them! I priced my tires from Costco, had them print it out, and took it with me to America's. Without telling them about my Costco quote, they quoted several hundred dollars more for an identical set. I asked "I thought you beat Costco?". He said "Yes, that's why I paid for the big banner outside". He then issued a new quote about $100 less, but still almost $200 higher than Costco. I then showed him my printed quote. He started getting grumpy, and would not give me a price. After several minutes of me pushing (figuratively speaking of course) he said he'd beat it by $10. I do not believe for a second, that he didn't know Costco's price. I purchased those tires from Costco, and several sets since. I strongly recommend you do the same. In my opinion, America's is a waste of time and not trustworthy. UPDATE: I received a comment from another Yelp user questioning my review of "America's Tire" being listed under the Yelp page for Discount Tire. I would like to point out that America's Tire and Discount Tire are one in the same. They operate nationally under the name of America's Tire, but here in Oregon (and I believe another state or two) they operate under the name of Discount Tire. Additionally, my review was more specifically aimed at the store on w11th Ave. in Eugene, Oregon, as opposed to the chain as a whole. I can see now that I probably should have used the name Discount Tire in my review to avoid the confusion for those that are not aware of the multiple names this company uses. read more

I took my sons bent wheel and tire in so we could get a matching tire on the new wheel he bought to their competitor and they didn't have one so I went here and they had plenty in stock. They had it mounted and I was on my way out the door in no time. The only bummer was the siping machine was broke today so he will have to go back to get his tire siped. But hey no complaint here out of the fast, cheap, and friendly service. I would go back for sure. read more
