I have done business with Discount Tires back in Garland, Texas for many years. Then we retired and moved to SW Colorado. Finally, a couple of years ago they Built a location only 50 miles from us in Durango. WooHoo was I happy. I have not yet had dealings with every one of the young men, but I've had multiple dealings with Sam & Nick. Once with Austin and today with Conrad (I believe) and I can testify that if I still had my business I would try very hard to hire each one of them. They are incredible. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and patient with this old guy. Today I was in there for a leading tire. Turns out I had run over an old valve stem and embedded it in the tire. I had a really bad hole in my tire on my brand new car, I called every tire shop in durango and was hung up and and put on hold for 20 minutes I called discount and the were so helpful I came in and worked with Tj he was very knowledgeable and very patient, this being my first time buying new tires. They didn't have my tires in stock so we had to order them and with it being before the Labor Day holiday I was discouraged with having to wait more than a week, however three days later they called and had my tires in and got me in line and out the door. I was just about to walk out the door because he started arguing with me about the tread on the tires I was taking off the car to use for summer driving. My girlfriend and I were heading back to New Mexico from our vacation in Durango today. We stayed for a weak and were there for several large snowstorms. The Airbnb we stayed at was at the end of a long, unplowed driveway and it required us to sit down our tires in order to access the cabin. Long story short, we needed to inflate the tires back to highway pressures before our trip back to New Mexico and we were unable to find a working air compressor at any of the gas stations around town. I called the Durango Discount Tire, spoke to an employee named TJ and explained our problem. TJ was extremely helpful and told me that they would be more than happy to help. I arrived at the store shortly after our conversation to find TJ getting the tire pressure station ready. We didn't have to wait and were back on the roads within 10 minutes. It may have been a simple task, but it made our trip simpler and more enjoyable. We can't thank TJ and discount tire enough. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will continue to buy tires for all of our vehicles exclusively from Discount, for this very reason. Employees who take pride in what they do and a company that truly values customer service.
