I was charged $110 for this part I could buy at Napa for $26.

They charged me $685 to replace a wiring connector on the camshaft position sensor. I would hate to think what they would have charged if it were something more involved. Edit: Phil called in response to my review. See the attached invoice. I had already replaced the camshaft position sensor (a ten minute job), which was new. This did not resolve the code, which indicated the connection was intermittent. I had tested the connector with a multimeter, which indicated there was a bad connection at the connector. This was communicated to the service manager when I dropped off the vehicle. The technician stated that there was a broken tab on the camshaft position sensor, and they replaced the brand new part I had just installed. See the attached photo. That the tab could be broken without being filed off is highly suspect. It's a durable part. That the relatively fragile connector was damaged is more credible. In my opinion, as stated to the service manager, it was obviously the part that needed to be replaced. They replaced the connector, which again, I had communicated was the likely issue. They claim to have paid $110 for this part that I can purchase at Napa for $26. So in summary, I paid $685 to have them swap out a $26 connector. I can only conclude they're either dishonest or incompetent. Edit 2: Well Phil, now you're just outright lying. You did not show me the new camshaft position sensor you removed and replaced. Your technician did not perform any diagnostics, and ignored the diagnostic information I provided to you in advance. He just started swapping parts, AND overcharging for the time spent. Even if the sensor needed to be replaced, a $40 part that takes ten minutes to install, to charge me $685 is absurd.

I dropped in…read moreon Monday around 11 am and CJ said he couldn't get me in until 2:30 so I left and came back. (meanwhile I stopped by a muffler and brake shop and was told they could get me in NEXT Monday). When I returned, CJ got my van in as promised, diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts and had me out the door shortly after 5:30 and the price was entirely reasonable. I worked from the waiting room via their free wifi and over the course of the day overheard the way CJ treated his customers... always with respect and honesty. I heard him say, "You don't owe me anything for checking it out, just bring it back when it has something that needs to be fixed." That is how you build a great customer base. Honest work at decent prices.

In addition, I wanted the serpentine and ac belts changed. I'm doing all this because I don't want to pay double labor and thought it best to get it all done at once. Since I'd already done my homework, I'd assumed that there wasn't any wiggle room for them not to warranty the cooling system after complete. At this, the guy got upset and told me to leave. After leaving, I spoke to a friend who told me their 'service' sucks - so I write this to let you know I'd had a terrible experience and would not recommend. I don't care how good their mechanics might be. If the guy up front is not the owner, he should be fired.
