After our check engine light came on, we called and spoke with Cameron. I explained what had happened, and he let me know that unfortunately they were getting ready to be closed for the next couple of days and likely wouldn't be able to service our car until early the following week. Even with that, he suggested we still stop by if we could. He said he could at least scan the car, see what was going on, and hopefully give us some direction. About 15 minutes later, we showed up and Cameron scanned the car for us. He confirmed that we were dealing with a cylinder 1 misfire (P0301), wrote down the code for us, and gave us some advice on how to diagnose the issue, figure out what was causing it, and hopefully get ourselves back on the road. What stood out to me was that he was genuinely willing to help even though he knew he probably wasn't going to get the business. He was getting ready to close within the next 30-40 minutes, but still took the time to talk with us and point us in the right direction. We ultimately had to handle the repair ourselves, but Cameron's willingness to help when he didn't have to was absolutely worth mentioning. Sometimes it's the small interactions that make you remember a business, and this was definitely one of them. Thanks, Cameron, for taking the time to help us out!

After coming back from the Silverton train ride around 230pm on a Friday, I tried to start my car and it just wouldn't give. After calling around all the local shops, everyone basically told me nothing is open on weekends and they were booked till earliest mid week of the following week. When I called Durango Car Care, I told them my situation and they told me they'd try and look at it if I got there before they close but no guarantees they would be able to fix it on time. AAA came around 4pm and got me to the shop around 430pm. The guys stopped what they were working on and tried to troubleshoot my car. After about 15 minutes, they got it working again!!! They didn't have to do any of that! This literally brought my faith back in humanity! The kindest guys and angels to me that day!! I am so so thankful to them and my AAA guy Daylon. My truck started making a strange noise in the engine on a longer road trip back to Durango. I called every dealership and two mechanics in town, all of which were weeks to months out from being able to look at it. One last shot and I called this crew. "Sure, drop it off in two days and we'll keep it for the day". Arrived two days later, the head mechanic jumped in with me and listened to the noise. It was faint but he heard it. Good thing for me because it saved me from making weird noises in front of experienced people! Got the truck back two days later after having been told exactly what's wrong, what will later on fail, and how much it will cost to fix it. Agreed on price and picked up the truck. Everything runs well and I paid exactly what we agreed on. These guys are legit and I will always have them work on our vehicles from here on out.

The first time I took in my car my brakes were making a horrible noise. They looked it over and let me know that a small clip had broken, my brakes were fine. The second time I took in my car I thought that I would have to replace the clutch, it wouldn't shift at all and the pedal was mushy. I was actually stranded in the middle of the highway for a while before I figured out I could turn off my car and shift then turn it back on a drive to the next stop light before I had to do it all again. I limped to Durango Auto Works. They looked at my car right away and refilled my hydraulic fluid. Both times they could have done unnecessary work, over charged me, or taken advantage of general car ignorance. Both times they were kind, helped me right away, and explained things to me in a non condescending but simple way .
