I came into this shop as a vulnerable, out-of-state traveler embarking on a 2,000-mile solo drive. My vehicle was experiencing a clear cooling system failure, with fluid erupting into the overflow reservoir. I explicitly explained the symptoms and told them exactly what needed to be checked. Instead of taking my input seriously, they completely dismissed me, treated me as if I had no idea what I was talking about, and charged me an exorbitant diagnostic fee. After holding my vehicle for hours, they confidently declared that the entire issue was just a faulty radiator cap. Exactly 9.8 miles outside of town, my vehicle broke down on a dangerous highway shoulder with the exact same catastrophic symptoms. When I called the shop in an absolute panic, they flatly refused to honor their parts and labor warranty or help me for the rest of the day--despite the fact that they were fully open with 4 hours left of business time. The service advisor, Tyler, delivered his refusal with a mask of surface-level politeness, but his behavior was deeply condescending, dismissive, and frankly disgusting. He told me that "maybe" a master technician could look at it on Tuesday or Wednesday, completely disregarding the fact that I was stranded on a Sunday on the side of a mountain highway. If you require a "master technician" to diagnose a basic, textbook cooling system failure, it begs the question: What level of unqualified, incompetent staff are you employing on weekends who shouldn't be touching customers' vehicles in the first place? Firestone took my money, completely misdiagnosed a dangerous mechanical failure, and actively chose to leave a solo female traveler stranded when they had ample time to pull the car back into a bay. I had to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for emergency lodging and a 120-mile flatbed tow. A local independent mechanic immediately identified the true issue--a massive engine failure that Firestone's uncertified weekend staff completely missed. I am currently pursuing a formal corporate investigation and a full financial dispute with my credit card company for services not rendered. Avoid this establishment at all costs; their corporate negligence is matched only by their complete lack of empathy.
