8/17/26 Discovered a penny nail in my rear tire while pumping gas. Fortunately it was a very slow lead I took care of one the way to work. Service 5/5 In at 8 am opening. Was assisted immediately by a tire specialist who confirmed my view, the nail was at the sidewall edge making it un-repairable. The rear tires were just rotated by the dealer to the rear, both OEM tires had 8k miles on them. Due to wear factor both had to be replaced. The car was in for about 40 minutes and off to work. God bless you Discount Tire. So we're heading to Colorado on Vacation from Mesa AZ and had purchased a brand new trailer tire for our trailer before evern leaving Mesa and an hour into our trip the tire blew talk about a stroke of bad luck. Yes thank goodness for a spare we got to Gallup New Mexico on a Sunday and of course nothings open on Sunday in Gallup. So after spending the night we headed into Farmington Discount Tire and thank god they had the tire we needed so we got two just to be safe. The guy said it was going to take a couple of hour's but we were just thankful that they were able to assist us the staff was amazing and it gave us some time to explore Farmington, have some lunch and take our fur babies to the park. This location is under remodeling but they do have a canopy and chairs for their customers to sit under. Again thank you to Discount Tires for helping out of towners who are stuck in a crunch. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Discount Tire. During my visit, their technicians stripped one of my lug nuts and were unable to fix it. My vehicle sat in their shop all day with no resolution. Then returned the car to us still unfixed. The next day, when we spoke with the manager, he admitted his staff caused the damage but said they couldn't help us. He was unprofessional and raised his voice. We took the car to BASIN TIRES shop, where they repaired the stripped lug nut and replaced the tire without any issues. Even though it was past their closing, they still took the time to help. Because of the poor workmanship, lack of accountability, and unprofessional customer service at Discount Tires, I would not recommend this location. read more

I had a scheduled appt at 1300 and arrived at 1245 for checking in. I was inline for 15 before before I was able to check in. I when to see their Appointment Policy: "The company aims to complete appointments within 45 minutes of the scheduled time." This was not meet. Nice young men, but always someone new there. Spend to much time on the b.s. of stopping distance etc. while the line is out the door. Installed braided valve stem extensions that were to long on my class C Motorhome, headed out on vacation a couple weeks ago and extension came out of the clip that holds them on the rim slapping against the rim and caused a flat. Waited HR and half for road service. Called to let them know about problem but never heard back from anybody. No attention to detail there. They need to slow down and get everybody trained properly. read more

We were on our way to an attraction in New Mexico and the rental car alerted me to low air pressure for the two front tires. I was like great but I asked my cousin do you guys have Discount Tire here and he said yep right up the road! I said bet! We arrived and was greeted quickly by the very nice young man who added air to all four tires and even allowed my wife to use the bathroom during covid. I've been here numerous times, if ordered new tires and rims here and I've had great service. Although there was a young lady there that seems to have attitude but the rest of the team is great. They loaded up my old wheels in the back of my truck and service was great. My only beef with them is that they're always busy...maybe because they have great service and great prices? I've had good experiences in the feedback at another location, but this time was a real disappointment. Needed two tires, but the fees, including mounting, were $120, which is absolutely freaking outrageous! I also had them look at the spare tire, and they left my entire back of the car a total mess! I bought my new tires online and chose an appointment time. I had to wait a few days as the tires were ordered and not in stock. Upon arrival I was met outside and I gave them some information and was told to park my car. This was about ten minutes before my appointment. The air conditioned waiting room only had a few chairs that were spaced far apart. Everyone was wearing masks and were very efficient and courteous. With an appointment you are given priority over walk ins and this place was busy. At the appointed time my car was pulled into the service bay and fifteen minutes later it was pulled out with my new tires. This is a great place to buy tires. I'm not sure if they are doing alignments, you would have to call and ask about that. read more

The encounter below is what my 23 year old daughter experienced with this sorry excuse of a business. Instead of offering to help they behaved like complete imbeciles and just made it a very unpleasant experience for my daughter. CONSUMERS: THEY WILL ONLY TREAT YOU NICE IF THEY'RE MAKING A BUCK OFF OF YOU OTHERWISE THEY WILL RUN YOU OFF! We had hit some potholes the night before that damaged both front and back rims on the left side of the car. We went and bought a 3lb mallet and a heat gun to fix the dents in both aluminum alloy rims. We went to an empty part of the parking lot of Discount Tire out of any customers/workers way incase our attempt to fix the rims went south, we would already be at a tire shop. A manger named Kevin came to see if we needed help and we explained our predicament about being far from home and this was our last resort to fix our tires because we already spent $1,000 on our first blow out days prior. He kept telling us our idea wouldn't work because we could crack the alloy rims because the heat gun wasn't hot enough and we should just come in to check out the rims they had. We kept telling him we'd give our idea a try first before we look into anything again, reiterating that we just spent too much money on this issue our first blow out a few towns out. We got our front rim back in shape and to hold air completely, we asked for them to fill up the tire and check for leaks which they did. After the first tire check, they told us to get off their property due to "company policy", A mechanic talked to us and was visibly irritated at this point and still kept telling us this wouldn't work. so we went right next door to a dealership parking lot so we could have DT check our back tire once we got to it. We worked on our back rim and again asked politely if they could fill up and check for leaks on this one too. The whole time we worked on the second rim, they were all talking to each other and looking our direction. We were told they filled up the second tire and there were no leaks. as we put the tire on, PSI of the second tire was at 4 not 36. We were convinced they tried to have us drive on a flat to have us believe our DIY rim repair didn't work like they were telling us and they would get a sell off of us. We got our emergency air compressor out of the truck and filled it up ourselves. Both tires held 36-38 PSI for our 12hr trip back home. read more

This review will be in several parts. Part 1. Online scheduling. I needed two new tires for my truck so I went online to see what was available. Discount Tire allows you to check the inventory of the selected location to see what is in stock. This is VERY convenient. I found the tires I wanted and proceeded to reserve them and make an appointment to have them installed. I completed the registration and hit "enter" only to receive an error message. So I tried again and received an error message again. I figured I would just have to call the store the next morning to make an appointment. I then checked my e-mail. Despite the two error messages I discovered I had two appointments set for the following day. Part 2. "Checking in". I arrived at the store a little after my "appointment" so I anticipated having to wait. The store was busy with several customers being helped as I entered. When it was my turn to be helped I stepped to the counter. The employee was interrupted by a phone call before he could assist me. As I waited for him to finish his phone call another employee came to the counter, looked past me and asked the next customer if she could assist him! Well, it only took another 30 seconds for the first employee to finish the phone call and assist me, so it wasn't a big deal. Part 3. Installation. As I said earlier the store was busy and I arrived late for my appointment so I expected to wait. They got my truck in quickly and installed my new tires right away. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to get the new tires put on my vehicle. When the installation was complete, one of the employees called me up to the counter and gave me the paperwork. He told me he would pull my vehicle up front. I met him in the front of the office and I drove away. When I reached my next destination I noticed the spare tire had been put in the bed of my truck, not put back underneath where it belongs. I have never, in all the time I have purchased tires, had the spare tire been left out and not put where it belongs. Overall I give three stars to Discount Tires in Farmington. With a little work on customer service both when signing in and in completing the work of placing the spare tire in the proper place, I would give them 5 stars. read more

This is a solid franchise. I'm always greeted promptly and with professionalism. I come here for the needs of my company regularly and have found them to be well suited for vehicle tires. Though they do carry most of the trailer tires we use it do prefer to go elsewhere for my larger units an they do have a smaller lot compared to some of their competitors. All around I love the warranty and the culture of this establishment. read more

Having worked at a tire shop before, one of my pet peeves is when tire shops run down the lugnuts with a impact wrench, I have had to replace more wheel studs than I liked. Discount used torque limiting extensions on their impact wrench, then got out the torque wrench! My kinda tire shop! Highly recommend them read more

I took my Class C RV in to have the tire pressure in one tire fixed, (It was very low.) and the others checked. When I was told everything was ready, I did a walk around inspection and saw that one of the tires had the valve stem wedged between the wheels -- the same as it had been before the tires were "checked". Clearly at least this tire had not been even looked at. When this was brought to the attention of someone who claimed to be an Assistant Manager, he called the shop person back out and the stem was freed up -- but the pressure was not checked again. The following morning I installed a Tire Pressure Monitoring system on the front tires - and the left front immediately showed an alarm reporting that the pressure was 20 lbs low. This tire had been checked before I went to this Direct Tire shop and was reporting the correct tire pressure. At one point the "Assistant Manager" admitted that their air system was known to be "off". Thus warned, I am "off" to another provider. read more

We got a set of tires here and were pleased so when we needed two more tires, we went back. However, with the second pair apparently no balancing was done. So on the way to Albuquerque we started hearing a horrible noise. We had to find another Discount Tire to do the balancing. This was very inconvenient. read more

Blew a tire on way to Farmington. Went in the next morning to buy a new spare since the original tire was not repairable. Didn't even have to wait for an associate as Kevin came up to greet us as we walked in. He was super nice, genuine, and knowledgable. He took care of us and took our order right away. They put the alloyed rim on the original spare tire and put it back on the car and then put the new spare back underneath the vehicle. Great service and very professional and friendly. Love Discount Tire and that you can go to them even when you are out of town and get great service. They were able to pull up my account so I didn't have to take the time for giving all my information, etc. I also like that the seating area is always nice and clean. My wife had Discount Tires free balance and rotation on her tires prior to an out of state trip. On the road to Gallup when she got up to +60mph the vehicle started vibrating so bad she thought a wheel was loose. After checking the tires she proceeded to Gallup and had a tire shop there check the vehicle. All four tires required weights, once rebalanced the vehicle ran fine. The shop charged her over $60 to balance the tires. When she returned home I took the receipt and headed to Discount Tire ready for a fight. I told my story to the service tech, he said it should not have happened, asked for the receipt, went to the Manager, Manager said not sure what happened but reimbursed me for the balance. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes without an angry word. Amazing!! Sure this should not have happened at all but s**t happens and they were there to make it right. Farmington Discount Tire Store gets my vote of approval. read more

Came in today to get two new tires for carry out and get them mounted on the rims we brought in. Dropped off the rims at approximately noon, came back at 3:30 and they hadn't even been touched!! They told me it would take another twenty minutes but it should have been done within the THREE AND A HALF HOURS the tires were left there. Spent $170 on two new tires for them to be mounted in the rims, I'm a penny pincher so this three and a half hours time is definitely not worth it. Rather have gone somewhere else, paid the same amount of money and got it done in a third of the time. Very very disappointed. Usually discount tire has done me well, but that was in Phoenix. Shouldn't be too surprised I guess, this is Farmington. read more
