Carvana Review - Great Service, But a Few Disappointing Surprises…read more My overall purchasing and trade-in experience with Carvana was smooth, and I want to highlight the exceptional service I received from my concierge, Darius, and his assistant, Paul. Every time I called into the center, the representatives and supervisor were also incredibly helpful and professional. Their customer service is definitely a strength. I did, however, remove one star due to a few issues with the vehicle itself. When the car arrived, there were paint defects on both sides that were not advertised online. I submitted photos of the damages, but Carvana only provided compensation for detailing based on one side, even though both were affected. On top of that, the car arrived needing an oil change, which was frustrating--especially since I purchased the extra protection package that supposedly includes oil changes. I ended up having to pay out of pocket for the oil change and was told I "should be reimbursed" after submitting receipts, photos of the oil level, and going through a review process. Honestly... what? That part of the experience felt unnecessarily complicated. I still haven't gotten the detailing done because I'm trying to find a shop that fits within the amount they offered. All in all, the process itself was seamless and the staff were wonderful--but the condition of the car upon arrival and the back-and-forth over reimbursement kept this from being a truly 5-star experience.

This dealership was quick and easy to work with when getting my husband into a car. I truly commend…read morethem for making the purchasing process simple and fast. Unfortunately, after my husband was involved in an accident with the vehicle, the customer service experience went downhill. We were never fully informed about the extent of the damages. We were only told that the repairs were extensive and that the insurance company wanted to total the vehicle. While the dealership did advocate for the vehicle to be repaired since we hadn't had it long -- which we appreciated -- the communication afterward was extremely poor. Communication with the representative, Jose, was unacceptable. I repeatedly requested updates, documentation of the damages, and a detailed list of parts being replaced, but was consistently given the runaround. On top of that, his tone became condescending. At one point, he asked my husband a question and then said, "Oh wait, or do I need to ask her?" -- which was disrespectful and unprofessional. As a paying customer, I expected transparency and respect. Instead, I felt dismissed and spoken down to. Based on this experience, I would caution female customers about working with this representative. Clear communication and professionalism should not depend on who you are.

I live in EL Paso, TX and have been in the market for Toyota Tundra for a few months. I found on…read moreautolist.com a 2014 Toyota Tundra Truck posted by Cartex Motors, a Houston, TX based family-owned used car dealer. According to Autolist.com, which they "CARTEX Motors" posted this 2014 Toyota Tundra truck listing it at $4,000 for this truck (see photo). Insane right!!! Called 1 Jan 2025 inquiring about 2014 Toyota Tundra CrewMax SR5. I spoke with a young lady, who sounded she could be between the ages of 16 to 19 years old. When asked about the listing she stated that the car is $19,995 and $4000 down. I informed her of the posting which stated the tundra was listed as being only $4,000 not $19,995. She had no clue to what I was talking about and tried to brush it off. There was no attempt to verify what I was talking about. I asked about the carfax and if can being sent to me so I can review it before I made my decision to purchase a flight to look at the truck. She said " WE DO NOT SHOW THE CARFAX UNTIL ALL PAPERS ARE SIGNED" (RED FLAG!!!!!!!!!) but she did assure me it had a clean title. She also stated " The title of the car is a clean title because she can visual see the title at that moment." It was apparent this young lady should have passed the phone to an adult who knew what they are talking about. Based on this conversation I end the phone removing this 2014 Toyota Tundra and inexperienced company from my list of possibilities. Based my conversation with the young lady (who answered the phone), posting of 2014 Toyota Tundra on Autolist.com, and past reviews I can only conclude the Following. 1. Poor customer service 2. Bait and switch 3. Inexperienced staff This dealership's owner and staff have a lot of growing to do in more ways than one. In conclusion, my interaction with CARTEX Motors and based on all past reviews I agree they are spot on. If you wish to do business with this company, BE VERY CAUTIOUS

Bought a car here about 3 years ago, I never left a review but I really hope no one else goes (is…read moregoing) through what I am going through. When I bought the car the guy that was helping the owner gave me a clean carfax. Fast foward 2 years later I think its time for an upgrade so I take my car to get evaluated at a different dealership and they tell me the car is basically worth nothing because its a salvage title. I go back to this dealership (auto selection) where I bought the car to tell the owner about the situation and he blamed me and said when he sold it to me the car was clean title and maybe I had gotten into an accident. The receptionist Anna heard this and she checked my car and she verified the car was a salvage title before I bought it. The owner said there was nothing he can do about it, I am not looking to make money off the car even though I have added a few upgrades (performance and exterior) I just wanted to atleast break even since the car is not worth 1/3 of what I bought it for. Really dissapointed and I hope they never do this type of thing again !
