I had a vehicle where my transmission locked up and I was out of a car. I had $1000 that I went and put down on a 2015 Hyundai ELANTRA, didn't have it 12 hours and the check engine light came on, the RPMs wouldn't allow the car to accelerate over 40 mph. Took it back they put me in a 2017 Hyundai ELANTRA, had it two weeks in the motor blew out on me. They got a refurbished motor, charged me $3500, had to pay $500 down on it, was out of work for almost 2 weeks, and due to struggling to get back-and-forth to work, because work was an hour and a half almost from home, I lost my job. Got a different job, was going to be a week or so late on my second payment, they send me a notice that they are repossessing my vehicle. Mind you my payment is due every other Friday, The day wasn't even over and Malicha called me asking about the payment. I explained to her that I started a new job and would be late on that payment. She told me that she couldn't tell the lender that. Even though they're in-house financing, she couldn't tell the lender that? So they have GPS tracking on these vehicles, she sends me a repossession order and says there is a driver in route to repossess the vehicle. I called a family member to borrow money, they didn't have the entire $680, they only had a portion of it. So I called her back and asked if I paid the $587. Would that be enough for them to not repossess it until I can get the rest of the money before the day was over. She told me no that they needed to have it in full... Also keep in mind that the day wasn't even over so as long as I made the payment before the day was over, at close of business, my payment shouldn't be late. So I hung up. Contacted another family member to help cover the $93, and made the payment. Then I get all these text messages. Her attitude is just as trashy as the vehicles they sell. When we came back to get the second vehicle, after the first vehicle messed up, the one I hadn't had for 12 hours before the check engine light came on... there was a woman who was whispering to us to go somewhere else and get a vehicle from a different lot because of all the trouble that they have had with that dealership. It may seem like a great idea if you're in a crunch because of credit or the limited money that you can put down on a vehicle... If you can afford to go anywhere else, go somewhere else. Do not do business with this place! Just a show... For a 2017 Hyundai ELANTRA, a refurbished motor that had about 80,000 miles on it... In total each month I'm paying $1360. DON NOT BUY HERE . after almost going on three years, I have having my car my car engine finally gave out I could assume I've had other problems in the car that I'll ignore like everybody else kept saying when they first get the car your Cadillac converter keeps messing up and mines did too I have had so many problems with this car, including like AC compressor as soon as I got it it was always like weird stuff and then like I would tell someone who had like the car from the same company and they would tell me that the same things but now I'm here writing my statement because my car is like not working at all because spark plugs a fuel injector and coils and I didn't realize that I was putting $20 in my gas every day car just basically messed to mention I've always had a Cadillac converter problem that I just never even messed with. I just want to share my honest opinion... The process of getting a car is very easy. If you need a car I would say go to them. My complaint is the cars are not very good. I purchased a 2011 Hyundai Elantra the motor went out in 2 1/2 months. They expected me to pay for the motor but my car note was already 500$ a month & wanted at least half for the motor up front. I wasn't willing to comply so I let the car go. I would just say make sure you get a good car. APR is also high but that's something you should expect. I am taking this car back as I type. They sold me a car that was only "fixed" temporarily. The door handles were coming off in the inside of the car. I constantly smelled gas when idling. The radiator was going on and the transmission had obviously been rebuilt because the car had a hard time speeding up. I never missed a payment but they still didnt allow any extension during hard times. He brought the car into service almost immediately and basically they've been holding the car hostage and giving him the run around about when his car will actually be fixed. He dropped his car off to be fixed on Jan 4 2021 and he has YET to receive the vehicle back (and they're still charging him for it) it's been nearly a month and he gets the run around. They'll give him a "definitive date" of when the car will be ready and when that day comes it always more bs. I would give them zero if I wasn't forced to give them one! THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER! So let's begin. I purchased my car from them thanksgiving eve. By January my car was not working properly, called them just for them to tell me about a new 6 month warranty program they just started that I cannot take advantage of. But being that I had my car for a little under two months and it stalled out on me they claimed they would fix it. During a months time of them keeping my car to "fix it" I received zero communication in reguards to my car. I called as often as possible to which they make you feel as though you are inconveniencing them to get a status update on the vechile they just sold you, that's you're making on time payments too, That stalled out on you in two months. So that was hassle number one. Flash forward to me finally getting my car back in March. Yes March. The same day I go to get my car they told me it would be ready by noon. Get there it's not ready I stayed until 4:30pm. When they finally "fix it" I get in my car to head home with my 2 year old that also I had with me up there for 4 hours. I pull out on to hwy 6 and my car WILL NOT ACCELERATE. They light just turned green and omg was I scared! I was finally able to get to the shoulder of the road. I literally was no where but at the light by their establishment. I bring it right back of course have to spend another two hours just for him to say they changed the coil. Fast forward two weeks later. My a/c is not working so I decided I refused to take the car back to them since they couldn't communicate effectively and almost killed me after so called fixing my car. I take it to a different mechanic, I was then told my car had never been serviced. The parts that I spoke of in specific had never been touched when Jay, there service manger told me it took so long because they had to order new parts. Of sight mechanic said that was not truthful. So I decided I'll get the car fixed myself. So here we are in June, my car stalled out on me again in the middle of the hwy! I called excel to tell them what happened they told me oh "your car was disabled, manually from here but I'm not sure why because you're not behind on your bill" I tell them I need a tow truck the woman is arguing me down that it's only disabled and to go start the car disregarding all the other information I disclosed to her letting her know that during the process of whatever they did the engine shut of, power steering locked on the car and the belt on the car broke all of while I was on the highway with my three young children. So they pick up the car, finally after arguing me that it's running and transferring me around. At this point I am livid. Here were are today Aug 12. No phone call update. The absolute worst place in Houston to buy a used car. Once you drive off the lot anything that happens to the vehicle is on you. They demand a form of auto-pay and continuously charge for collateral protection insurance (CPI) even if you are fully covered. The people in finance are rude and unwilling to help. Martha and Lisa think they own you and talk to customers like they are garbage. An employee took the car to the back to "wash" it for pictures and his the fence post damaging the driver side rear door and tail light, yet they say it was pre-existing and would not fix the damage stating it has already left the lot so the damage was caused by me. After 3 months of driving the vehicle, the GPS tracker fell out from behind the dash and was disconnected and I was told that tampering with the device was a breach of contract and they were in route to repo the car. They fraudulently processed a credit card not once, not twice but 3 time in 1 week then cursed at my wife and I over the phone because we never told them that was a one time use card.
