These past few weeks when I have been struggling to use my car with two broken external handles, I…read moreWISHED I had the mechanical skills to fix my car. Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!

I purchased a Volkswagon Jetta from here less than three weeks ago and have had problems with it since I drove it off their crap lot. Within the first week of owning the vehicle, it had to be taken to Padela's recommended auto center so that the AC compressor could be replaced. It took them a whole week to repair this. After my car left that shop, it drove for two days before having to be towed to a different repair shop. I had to fork out $1000+ to have the fuel line, radiator, gas gauge, and brake sensor replaced. But the issues didn't stop there either! As of last week, my two babies and I had to sit out in 87 degree heat waiting for my car to be towed yet AGAIN to a repair shop due to the transmission being completely smoked. I was quoted $2500 to have this replaced. When I contacted the manager at Padela Motors, he wasn't the least bit concerned. He told me that I got what I paid for and that I could have my lawyer contact him but that he would not assist in any way with this. This company is a scam. Please, do not purchase any vehicles from this place. I now have to find a way to come up with MORE money to replace the transmission and hope that I don't get fired from my brand new job that I have already had to call into since I have no way of getting there. I am disgusted and sick to my stomach over this situation. This company took full advantage of me and does not plan to take any responsibility in this matter. It is so disheartening.

Upon arrival Brooke met me and we drove the truck. I wanted to look at another so we drove another truck. It was a better fit...4x4, newer and better shape. Brooke made the PW changes and I found an added charge on the invoice . Brooke had it removed and I was on my way home in about an hour. Four days later the AC went out. I went back to Brooke and she got me into service immediately. The AC compressor needed to be replaced...an expensive repair. I expected a big bill on my new used truck. Brooke got me a loaner vehicle for the night. I returned the next day and to my surprise the repair was free of charge. I have done a lot of outside sales work and owned a dealer license in TX. Brooke is the best professional auto sales person I've met. We had some hiccups but she handled them fairly and professionally. Go to Texas Auto South and ask for Brooke Cathey.

You definitely want to read this whole thing before even considering doing business with them. The pricing is a scam, because there's mandatory dealer add-ons that you cannot buy the car without, coming out to around $2000+ dollars (ceramic coating, tints, lo-jack, etc). They also stated that all the maintenance was completed prior to sale, which was a lie (more on that later). Upon inspection of the car (2020 Alfa Romeo Guilia), we noticed there were poorly touched up scratches in the paint, the front parking sensor was dangling, and the hood latch release from inside the car was completely broken; the salesperson stated those would be fixed after the purchase. Prior to purchase we made sure that the dealer annotated all of those details, to include doing a full buffing of the paint prior to doing the ceramic coating. We were told after the fact to schedule an appointment to bring the car in. 3 days after buying the car, the engine oil maintenance light came on (meaning the fluids were not changed, as we were told). We scheduled an appointment to bring the car in and after leaving it with them for about a week to fix the hood latch, the oil change, the ceramic coating and the front sensor. After coming back to pick it up, none of the items were fixed. We fought for a loaner car and ended up leaving the car another week until we were called and told everything was done. Turns out the hood latch wasn't installed properly, and the car wasn't even polished and ceramic coated all (as promised in writing, easily identifiable by the swirl marks and the Texas Auto Sticker that was supposed to be removed). In summary, you're obligated to pay dealer add-ons that don't get done, the service department is terrible, and all they care about is selling cars and forgetting about their customers after. If I could go back in time and never set my eyes upon the abhorrent sight of a dealership, I would. Shame I can't give 0 stars.
