I have never written a review on any place of business before in my life. Two days ago (6/18/16) I…read morehad purchased a 2005 Nissan Altima with 190,000 miles on it from USA Auto brokers. The majority of the staff seemed friendly and helpful enough with the exception of a couple of employees. Despite the friendly demeanor of the workers something was quite unsettling. It appeared to me that they had no concern for my best interest, only that of themselves and the company. I drive my newly purchase Nissan off the lot and truly believed I had made a gear decision. Later I was proven to be wrong. Not even 36 hours after buying my new car, it died on me in the middle of the road. After towing it to a mechanic the verdict was that my alternator had gone out. I calmly called the main office to see what could be done. No one was apologetic nor did they offer any solution. It was made clear that I had bought the car "as is" without any warranty. I understand they had no legal obligation to rectify the situation but possibly an ethical obligation was in order. The only hint of help they offered me was a referral to a mechanic. Now I'm out 4 grand and I'm without a car. I've said all of this to warn others to throughly research the car being bought and don't expect USA Auto brokers to respond quickly to a problem that may arise. Update- after talking with the managers they agreed to cover almost half of the repairs necessary to get my car fixed. They were friendly and apologetic. I am moderately satisfied with the resolution provided.

No other requirements and he specifically stated "the only way you walk off the lot without a car, is because you decided not to" basically guaranteeing I would leave with a car. When I arrive the cuban worker, extremely rude and short. Tells me there's almost nothing available for $1000 down. Just a corolla and a jeep patriot. So they take a copy of my passport and I test drive the Corolla(300k miles on it and they want $9k for total price) when we return he tells my husband they don't accept me because my passport says I'm born in California. And the worker takes off for the night doesn't even speak to me or explain anything. I go inside requesting a manager, she asks for my application, which I was never given one. So I fill out the application and she tells me no because Ive only been in Houston for 2 months. Their promotor texts me saying hes sorry and recommends we use my husband's foreign passport... That shouldn't make a difference hes been in Houston the same amount of time that I have.

Thankfully, rain made today a slow business day and I was next in line. Tireni was assigned to my appraisal. Took a quick 2 minute survey of my details, and put my car through the process. They estimate. 30-40 processing period. I gave up my keys at 2:10p, my car was moved at 2:17, returned at 2:32 and I received my appraisal at 2:43. A very well timed process. Fast forward a month, I ordered a car to be delivered from Louisiana location for a test a drive. $200 non-refundable. It took two weeks and the tracker sucked, rarely updated. But it eventually came in. And the test drive process was a breeze, again in and out in less than 20. The gal hated the car (Genesis gv70 Electrified). Too cramped, but very pretty. So we passed, but the staff and service was easy and non-invasive Definitely recommend if you're looking. No negotiation, but no hassle either.

When the car arrived at the 290 location, we went to pick it. We walked in and Carmax told us that the salesman no longer worked there. Then they wanted a hell of a lot more money down than our first salesman. We acted in good faith and spent $300 based on the explicit terms provided by their employee, and now we feel that we are victims of the classic "bait-and-switch" or "spot delivery" tactics because of the internal employee turnover, which was not our fault! We got our $300, back, but we feel annoyed, disappointed, and embarrassed because of their failure. Not cool CARMAX!

***RUN, DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS PLACE*** If I could give this place negative zero stars trust me…read moreI would. I purchased a car on exactly 10/21/23 when I first test drove the car it had a really bad burning smell, I told the "crook" I mean the owner and his wife (who I found out later he fired but who fires their so-called "wife") about this and he brushed it off saying oh it's because we just washed the engine on top of that the radio nor the ac was working so against my better judgement I went head on and purchased the car because he told me he could take it to someone down the street and they was going to fix it so it was a week later when I actually got the car I purchased. Well on Christmas eve 2023 the car literally blew up I mean literally blew up on me and my son. I'm literally just now trying to heal from the emotional toll that put on us. My son is traumatized. I spoke with the crook and told him I was going to take legal action (which I'm currently doing) and he basically told me to do it that he had nothing to do with that. I never got any inspection paperwork saying the car passed inspection before he sold it, nor did I get the TTL. Before it blew up on me, I took it to the Nissan dealership the guys there told me that do due to really bad oil leak and the car was in such bad shape under the hood it shouldn't have even been sold. Again, I reached out to the "wife" for my money back and (this was all within 30 days of the purchase), and they offered me not even a fraction of what I paid for it, so I had to pay out of pocket again to get the car fixed which in the end was still not enough because it was a trash car from the beginning. They took advantage of a single mother in desperate search of a vehicle. They lied and took my money. I pray you read this review ALL the way to the end because I would not want this to happen to anyone else. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR ENERGY with these people they are the devil!

These past few weeks when I have been struggling to use my car with two broken external handles, I…read moreWISHED I had the mechanical skills to fix my car. Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!
