Copy of title that shows Progressive Casualty as owner, Eddy sold illegally as title passover

FRAUD WARNING ---------------------------------------- I purchase a 2015 Nissan Altima 2 days ago, Saturday Sept 28th, 2019. Unfortunately my insurance office was closed, I went there first thing this Monday morning to get the vehicle insured and they told me that they were not able to insure it because it has a rebuilt/salvage title. I called EDDY back first thing in the morning and he told me he has a clean title that he is emailing to me right now. EDDY (real name "ShaShiq") sold my dad the vehicle and told my dad that it only had minor damages. He showed my dad the Autocheck report and it said it had 0 accidents. I called one of my connections up, and they pulled the Carfax and it showed it had a total loss a few months ago. Not only that, the title copy that Eddy emailed me was still under "Progressive Casualty Loss" as the owner. This means Progressive insurance bought the car from the original owner that totaled the vehicle, Eddy bought it from Progressive, fixed it, never did the "title transfer" WHICH IS ILLEGAL, and sold it to me as a clean title because he never went to the DMV to get it transferred to him. I called him today for a refund and he told me "Change your insurance company". This man has no idea the LEGAL battle he is about to get into. Attached are SCREENSHOTS of the title and AUTOcheck report from Eddy and the CARFAX that I dug up. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. Stay away from this man. They are LIARS and did business ILLEGALLY with me. Now you wait and watch the Legal Repercussions that they face.

These past few weeks when I have been struggling to use my car with two broken external handles, I…read moreWISHED I had the mechanical skills to fix my car. Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!

I am naturally skeptical of any used car dealership even more so one that has so many high ranking reviews. I didn't initially believe it and thought they were fake. Boy was I wrong! Joad (Sales Manager) & Zuri (Sales Agent) do business the old school way. They stand behind their product, no B.S. Bait & Switch, and take care of their customers to no end! They offer a 7-day warranty on there vehicles and dont just sell you junk that you have to be worried about breaking down the minute you roll off the lot. They sold me a solid business van for my fleet, that had low miles and it was the cheapest priced vehicle online in the entire country. They are in business for the long haul and understand the importance of reputation. They treat people with the upmost respect regardless of price on car, like some other dealerships. Motors on Wheels went above and beyond for me to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the esthetics and mechanical integrity of my vehicle, which gave me peace of mind! Never experienced this level of customer service and professionalism from any dealership, not even the big manufacturer dealerships. They earned my business for life. I will be purchasing all of my future business vehicles from them!

The dealership is not pleasant to the eye and you can't really see what they have in the lot as you drive by. It's so cramped, the cars are close to being piled on top of each other and there's a lot of confusing clutter everywhere. So, if you decide to actually go there, please plan ahead, otherwise get ready to pull over abruptly or make a nearly-impossible u-turn to go into their lot. Their inventory is well balanced, ranging from affordable domestics to top-dollar foreign vehicles. The main reason I give them three stars and not less is because the quality of their cars is surprisingly good. Their sales approach is too laid back, almost to the point of being neglectful and their pre-sale customer service is almost non-existent. It seems like the people you deal with are all owners who know more about buying a good vehicle from the auction to turn a profit, rather than knowledgeable salesmen willing to go out of their way to get you in the right vehicle and earn their comission. Don't go there expecting a bargain either, but don't worry; because their prices are competitive and right on the money in terms of fair market value. But this is something only an educated used-car buyer can spot. They don't have in-house financing but will help you find it. A process that can take WAY too long and be rather taxing. Something only a customer really set on buying a particular car from them would tollerate. Otherwise, it will definitely make any other buyer consider taking their business someplace else.

After…read morepayment was made, multiple agreed-upon responsibilities were not handled in a timely or professional manner, particularly regarding submission of paperwork and title-related processing. Instead of receiving clear updates, there were repeated delays and assurances that everything was "fine," while the required documents continued to be prolonged. There were also several conflicting explanations given about the vehicle's ownership and title status. At one point, I was told the car belonged to a friend, and later I was told the title had not arrived from auction in time. These inconsistent statements created serious concerns about transparency and whether accurate information was being provided from the start. Additionally, a salesman named Alan (if that is his real name) presented himself as if he had authority over dealership operations, yet was unable or unwilling to clearly explain the paperwork issues or the reasons for the delays. The overall experience felt disorganized, unprofessional, and questionable. Buyers should be extremely cautious, verify all documents before payment, and make sure title and registration paperwork is properly completed before leaving with any vehicle.
