I cannot say enough good things about Upland Automotive & in particular Shakil the owner. Going above & beyond what you would expect is just a part of a normal workday for he & his employees. We started using his garage as soon as he opened in our neighborhood in 2008. He is a good neighbor, honest businessman and is always there to assist no matter what problem you may have with your vehicle - one particular instance was when our daughter needed some quick repairs to her car before travelling back to San Marcos for school. Shakil ensured us that the repairs would be completed on time for her to make it back so she would not miss her class, and he even called a couple of days later to make sure all was well and that she did indeed make it back in time with no further car issues. Whatever the problem with our cars, he has explained exactly what the problem is, offered us options on parts to get a better price & even worked with the manufacturer of a particular component that was replaced on my vehicle that failed just after the OEM warranty expired & got them to honor it. My husband and I own a company with a small fleet of vehicles and have been taking all to Upland for years. Shakil and Jay are wonderful. They trouble shoot and give options. They warranty their work without question. What truly makes them stand out for me personally is when my husband was in an accident which totaled his truck right after being cleared to drive following open heart surgery. I was at the scene and needed to have the truck towed to Upland but the tow driver couldn't give me an amount to pay to get the job done. I didn't want to have to follow the tow to Upland because I needed to go to the hospital to be with my husband. I made one call to Shakil and he took care of everything. We remembered some time ago that Mr. Shakil at Upland Automotive on Westheimer, took care of us in the past and we were very satisfied with his kindness and service. During some recent bad weather I pulled into a Shipley's Donut store and cut a turn in the parking lot too short. I ran over a concrete hump that tore off some of my under carriage lines. I drove two miles to Upland dragging parts with me. Upon arrival Jay pulled the car onto the rack - - and I had lines and parts hanging down all over the place. I live a mile from Upland and one of their employees drove me home. Two hours later my car was ready. Upland was able to salvage 80% of the parts and immediately located and obtained the other parts. I have been using Shakil and Upland Automotive for 30 years. It goes without saying that I like their service. What has really impressed me lately are the comments that friends of mine have to say.
