A very close friend of mine recently took her vehicle in for service and was charged nearly $300 for the replacement of a fan belt. While I am not a certified mechanic, I have replaced fan belts myself and am well aware that the cost and complexity of such a repair do not justify that price. To make matters worse, she was also quoted an exorbitant fee for the replacement of an air filter--an extremely simple task that typically takes no more than two minutes to complete. It's disheartening to see what appears to be a clear case of opportunistic overcharging, possibly based on the assumption that a woman wouldn't question the pricing. Shame on you. Actions like this erode trust and reflect poorly on your business. While karma has a way of addressing injustices in due time, the immediate consequence is that you have lost a long-standing customer--someone who had been loyal to your establishment for years. read more

After spending over 20k with Elite auto. I had to wait 5 months for my transmission to be replaced. I also had to threaten them with legal action after finding out they never ordered my replacement transmission. Then when I finally picked up my car the steering wheel was not straight, then 30 minutes later all the power steering fluid leaked out causing my power steering to stop working. Keep in mind my car has less than 100k miles. I would not recommend taking your car to Elite auto because they are not truthful people and they always find other ways to charge you for repairs on your vehicle. read more

I am frustrated with this place. I took my car in on Monday morning to get the window replaced. Someone had broken into my car. They told me that it would be ready on Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon I called and they said it wouldn't be ready until Wednesday. On Wednesday morning I got a text from this company saying "your car is almost ready to go home!" The actual text is in one of the pictures. So I got a friend to drive me up there. When I arrived the lady at the front desk said that they are still waiting on a part and it probably won't be ready until Thursday. I was in disbelief. Why would they send a text saying one thing if it's not true? I called the manager. He didn't seem sympathetic at all. I asked him if they would deliver my car to me after it was finally fixed. Sunday night I got in my car to make a quick stop at the grocery store and realized that my air conditioner was blowing hot air. I knew I had to get it fixed as soon as possible, because this Texas heat was no joke. I looked up why my air conditioner was not blowing cold air and two problems showed up. Either it was out of Freon or the compressor was out. Anytime you mention having to take a car to the mechanic shop I get nervous. In my 21 years of life I have never been to a mechanic before other than to get an oil change. My dad has been working on both my cars for the past 6 years since he is a retired mechanic. Unfortunately my father suffered a stroke not too long ago and I couldn't bear the thought of asking him to work on my car, so I made the executive decision to take my car to a shop. I contacted the dealership where I purchased my car and they gave me a list of repair pal shops I could go to. Out of all of them the reviews on this one were the highest. I went in nervous and left feeling much more confident. The employees gave me a call a little bit after I dropped my car off (I was at work so I couldn't stay). They explained to me what they suspected the issue was and they asked for my permission to test and see if my car was leaking Freon. The same employee gave me a call back later and explained how everything went and asked if they could keep the car overnight so they could see if they could spot a leak. I'm glad I did, I saved over $400.00 on a $646.00 quote from Eddie for the same exact job. Brought our car in because they were a secondary choice for our warranty from when we bought our car. Told them the problem, AC took 5-10mins to turn on, they kept the car the entire day, ran tests, then told us that the tests did not see anything wrong, but the problem remained and tried to charge us $300 for the test to say that nothing was wrong, even though the AC still would not turn on. Had to bring my entire family up to have my wife show them the issue, even though it was explained to them, to have the tech blame me for not describing it correctly. The advisors and technicians do not seem to care about public health. They were mask-less inside the waiting room and I saw mask-less technicians getting in and out of customer vehicles. I am immunocompromised and am disgusted about their flagrant disregard for the health of their employees and customers. I had even called ahead to ask about touchless service, they didn't offer it but assured me that their technicians and advisors took all necessary covid precautions. They also stated that they would sanitize my car upon completion of the work. I dropped off my vehicle, when I returned to pick it up, two of the service advisors were walking around the waiting area without masks. I saw technicians getting in and out of cars without masks and walking in to the waiting area without masks. When I paid for the service, I told the advisor about my concerns and asked to speak to a manager. He disappeared into a back room and didn't return for quite a few minutes. Fearing that waiting longer would endanger my health further, I left. I will be calling Harris County Health and reporting their lack of compliance with pandemic protocols. If you had simply told me, when I called, that you didn't care about the health of your customers, I would have taken my business elsewhere. But instead you lied. I'm updating my review of April 26, 2020. Alex, one of the service writers, contacted me a few days later and asked me to come by the shop so he could see the issue I complained about. He said the rotors were definitely not good, and that he would check with his supplier and get back to me. He called back in a couple of days, offering to replace the rotors with a better quality OEM style that were coated to prevent rust. I went there this morning, and within an hour and a half, I not only had new coated rotors, but also new brake pads!! What a generous gesture on his part. My husband brought his brand new truck here after our son's basketball goal fell and dented the hood. We went with our shop selection based on the yelp reviews. From the moment we dropped off the vehicle the experience has been horrible. Our point person is Mario Lopez. His attitude from our first encounter has been disgusting. Constantly met with rude, unsolicited commentary. We went today to pick up the vehicle and to add insult to injury, the work done was amateur at best. The paint work was sloppy and unacceptable. This of course was met with more childish commentary from Mario. We will be reaching out to management in an attempt to remedy the situation. This company is not reliable. I took my vehicle in to have my brake pads and rotors replaced. Made an appointment for the earliest available, dropped my vehicle off on time and unfortunately received a phone call 45 minutes before closing to notify me that they did not receive the parts for my vehicle. Prior to this conversation I was promised to have my vehicle ready after an hour and a half. Received a phone to say the inspection was complete (inspection who said anything about inspection). I received a text asking for approval of the work being done so I called to approve (still being patient with them). At that point I was told my vehicle would be ready by 4. At 5:08 I received a phone call that my parts were never received and my vehicle wouldn't be ready. I explained that I took the day off under the impression that my vehicle would be completed in one day as promised over the phone, hence the appointment. To top it off when I picked up my vehicle because I plan on getting it serviced somewhere else, one of my lug nuts was not tightened completely. Mind you they drove my vehicle this way. I unscrewed it with my fingers. If you are looking for a shop that puts customers service/safety first and has timely communication with you, this one is not it. This is an amazing shop. The owner is so warm. His sons and staff are just as friendly. They have never tried to oversell me and will even tell me if something can wait. I asked to have my headlight changed and within a week, it went out again. I went back to the shop and they looked at it and said it's the sensor. Well, they changed the sensors and even took off $80 from the price, to make up for the labor they charged for changing the headlight my last visit. You can't beat that. They did not have to do that. So, fast forward to another visit, and I am given a $25 gift card just for being their customer. I was totally blown away bc most people try to sell you something and offer a rebate. Nope! He just gave me the gift card and said it might help with my next oil change. They will work with you the best they can on price. I mean, they can't give away their services.
