But it eventually came in. And the test drive process was a breeze, again in and out in less than 20. The gal hated the car (Genesis gv70 Electrified). Too cramped, but very pretty. Not only did the Jeep break down, but they could not honor the warranty that they sold to me. The Jeep literally sat in their services department for almost three months, and it was never repaired. It is still sitting there to this day. Not only could they not fix the vehicle, but they did not seek outside help (Jeep dealer) to rectify the issue so that I could get back on the road. I even offered to have it towed to my mechanic so that he could fix it, but I was told "It does not work that way." Beyond that, trying to get updates about the repair was almost impossible. Nobody would answer the phone or return my text unless I called the sales manager. After a while the sales manager just started letting my calls go to voicemail. I even tried to contact the owner, but nobody would put me in contact with him. It was the worst experience of my life and that is not an overstatement. Then the loaner car they gave me also had engine issues. The check engine light came on one day after I picked up the loaner. It started running rough, so it was not drivable either. After I told them what happened, nobody even offered to get me into another loaner car. I was now stuck with another TX Auto GRP mechanical issue. Finally, the Jeep Gladiator is not something that happened to me once. Nope! I have purchased four vehicles from TX Auto GRP over the past six years. The first vehicle I bought from them had major frame damage and the front end of the truck was welded up to the point that you could not even fix any of the damaged parts. They hid the frame damage by using bondo and paint. The next truck I bought had fuel system issues. I had the entire fuel system changed out twice just to clear the check engine light. The third truck was the only vehicle that I did not have issues with because I bought it from someone who came into the dealership to trade it in while I was there shopping for trucks. Meaning, it was not an auction vehicle that the dealer got super cheap so that he could then repair and sell off for a jacked up price. Three out of four vehicles that I have purchased from TX Auto GRP have had catastrophic failure. I highly recommend you stay away from this dealer unless you want to end up like me: Screwed out of your hard-earned money ... But the "lenders", per DDM, were having difficulty approving both car loans. The other dealer who we purchased from never mentioned this. DDM wanted us to bring the car back 2 days after we dove it home, or else they'd have it repossessed and we would not get our $4000 cash down payment. My husband decided to pay the full amount in cash to the other dealership for their car he got from them, instead of finance. That way the financing with DDM could/should be approved. Later on we found out he was approved for both cars. When the plates came in via UPS, the envelope was missing the registration sticker. My husband called and spoke to Maria, who proceeded to say "Oh our title person would never do that." The worse part was the defensiveness and the bad attitude. She hung up in my husbands face after saying "I'll tell someone" without taking his name! So we drove 40 minutes from NW Houston, where we live, to go see if we would get better assistance face to face. They gave me a print out or photocopy of the registration receipt and went on to make excuses about the missing sticker. Saying "We wouldn't know where to send it without the paper attached" "We put it in the envelope the way it comes to us". I explained the envelope didn't even include a rubber band lol. Not registration receipt or sticker. He didn't care. The gentleman who never gave me his name was only on the defense and I left feeling like my business was not appreciated and valued. Question DDM: So how did you get a photocopy of the receipt without taking the registration paper off the license plates? Is there a chance you were careless and forgot to reattach it to the plates? And why not satisfy the customer by acknowledging the mistake and offer to pay the $50+ for the sticker replacement. The owner/manager didn't even acknowledge my presence. And yes I yelled and raised my voice because I didn't want to hear that you would never mail plates without a registration sticker because it's "rubber banded together". That's insulting my intelligence and insinuating that the mistake was mine and I'm a liar. Do not purchase a car here if you would not want the feeling of working with shady business people.
