The service was really good and the supervisor came to check that everything was going well. They have a ton of tableside services that we didn't have room to try such as churros and the shot cart that goes around. Music is a ten, they play it a little loud which we were into. Keep in mind that the restaurant has only been open for a few months. So I def see some room for improvement for an updated review. I went here for dinner with some coworkers and it was a vibe! Everyone was dressed to impress, the ambiance was amazing, and the decor was impressive. They did have a DJ playing when we got there, which was cool but the volume steadily got louder and louder which made it hard to hear each other talk. Depending on when you get there, there might only be valet parking available. Service was mediocre, or at least whoever we got as our server was just not the best. I felt like it took forever to put our order in and one of my friends order never got put in so we all got our food and she was watching us eat. We came for my son's birthday, we sat down for party of five, decor was nice .... We ordered ahi tuna tower and corn appetizer, ahi tuna was super super spicy we can't eat it . After 25 minutes the server came back after my son get up to look for him to order, finally our server came back we order , mole chicken and cornflower salad enchiladas, my salad was super salty , my husband's chicken was so dry and tough like pice of plastic , again we have to hunt down our server to let him know that the my salad was super salty and chicken was super dry , he changed my salad but after all my family finished eating finally arrived,the second salad wasn't good either, my son is a chef ‍ on one of nice restaurant in fashion island and I'm a general manager on one of high end restaurant, we agreed that shame on those team members to work in this beautiful place without any experience and lack of knowledge and care less about this restaurant...... Our bills was almost $300 we still tipped out the server even he gave us the worst service ever , the funny part after my son told him that the ahi tuna was very spicy and salad was bad he took it off from our bill ......honestly I love my in and out burger before I went back home , I will never come back to this restaurant pay $300 and end up eating burgers with my family. We made sit down reservations but the bar was fairly open so we asked to switch. I would have liked it to be a bit spicy but that's preference not masses Asada - Delicious, moist & charred at the end so it added a crunch. No complaints. We brought a bottle of rosé and paid the corkage fee which I believe is $25. We got a few appetizers to share, can't remember which but all were really tasty and well portioned. We strictly only came for the drinks as they seemed cute. I ordered the santorini and my friend got an old fashion, requested for no smoke as he doesn't like the flavor. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks... My drink unfortunately had bugs inside. The server did not apologize or ask if i wanted a different drink. He just took it away as if it was something that occurred constantly. They brought out the old fashion smoked... the server took it back and just took it out of the box and brought the same drink. We also decided to get appetizers and considering the price the portions were not worth it. we got the chips and guac and the queso. The queso is brought in a small skillet that instantly gets stuck in. Lastly, my friend went to the restroom and a worker walked in used the urinal and did not wash his hands. The interior is spacious at Diosa and looked very nice...though it doesn't quite fit in with the location but it was nice to find in Downey. The food was pricey and honestly not good. The cocktails were presented nicely but a few tasted watered down. We ordered a couple appetizers which were just ok. I ordered the camarones a la diabla but the shrimp was over cooked. We booked a reservation yesterday for my nieces 19th birthday. The security opened the door for us & we were greeted by the host. We were seated about 10 minutes later. Our server Josue did such an amazing job! Very friendly & went above and beyond to make sure my niece had a great birthday & even sang Happy Birthday to her with us, that was nice of him. They had a Happy Birthday poster for my niece, she was shocked & happy about it! We ordered the carnitas & enchiladas poblanas for food, I got the Diosa Margarita & my sister got Rose Gold Margarita. Went here for Valentine's Day dinner last night, and it was a MADHOUSE. We had a reservation for 8 pm. Around 6:30 pm I definitely noticed that we were going to be very late. I work at a doctors office so I fully understand communication about being late for appointments/reservations. And I always want to make sure I am considerate of the business and their schedule. Knowing that we were going to be late, I called. No answer. Called again. No answer. I called maybe 5 or 6 times to see if we could still come or if we needed to change our plans before driving an hour to get there. I even submitted a form online to see if someone could get back to me via email instead of phone. (please see photos) We decided to still go and hope that we could still be seated. Upon arrival the lobby and waiting area was packed. People were standing along the wall and outside. I even heard someone say they had been standing there for an hour. After checking in, we were immediately told that our reservation was cancelled because we were an hour late. Thankfully, another woman upfront was listening to my situation about how I attempted to call multiple times and she allowed us to be seated. (Thank you to her!) After being seated, I felt VERY rushed by our waiter. Although I am thankful to get a table, if the business is going to make the decision to seat us and allow us to support the business, then please let us get the full experience and let us take our time to ENJOY ourselves! Every time our server came to our table he asked if we were ready to put food in. We hadn't even gotten the time to look at the menu yet! The staff was running around (because they were clearly overbooked) and servers even bumped into my chair a few times because they were moving so fast. It wasn't a comfortable setting at all. I also noticed how he was giving out roses to all of the women around me, but didn't give me one. Not sure what that was about.... I got so uncomfortable that I didn't really want to eat my food anymore, even though it was delicious. So the food was great, the plates were gorgeous and my drink was also AMAZING. (I got the Watermelon Paleta and Chicken al Pastor) I am a stickler for customer service and communication and it was not good last night. I don't like negative experiences and I hesitate to share them sometimes, but I hope this review reaches the management and it can be improved in the future. I know this is a new restaurant. Pure de papa poblano is very delicious too! Drinks were a 10/10. Tulum Tulum and Vintage Old Fashion. I recommend the Quedo Fundido as a nice shareable plate. Along with the Churros Foster if you have a lighter meal or bigger group. It was hard for a pair to finish the dessert after a large meal. We were immediately seated but waited 15 minutes for server and water. When the server finally showed up, she disappeared after taking our order. We asked for another round of water but didn't get it despite several of us getting up to ask. We never got refills of our 8 oz glass of water and ate our entire meal without anything to drink.
