We came for my son's birthday, we sat down for party of five, decor was nice .... We ordered ahi tuna tower and corn appetizer, ahi tuna was super super spicy we can't eat it . After 25 minutes the server came back after my son get up to look for him to order, finally our server came back we order , mole chicken and cornflower salad enchiladas, my salad was super salty , my husband's chicken was so dry and tough like pice of plastic , again we have to hunt down our server to let him know that the my salad was super salty and chicken was super dry , he changed my salad but after all my family finished eating finally arrived, the second salad wasn't good either, my son is a chef ‍ on one of nice restaurant in fashion island and I'm a general manager on one of high end restaurant, we agreed that shame on those team members to work in this beautiful place without any experience and lack of knowledge and care less about this restaurant...... Our bills was almost $300 we still tipped out the server even he gave us the worst service ever , the funny part after my son told him that the ahi tuna was very spicy and salad was bad he took it off from our bill ......honestly I love my in and out burger before I went back home , I will never come back to this restaurant pay $300 and end up eating burgers with my family. I don't mind to pay but to be satisfied and happy With this experience I wasn't happy with service or food. So sorry unfortunately we want be back , hopefully they can get it together this restaurant has a lot of potential hopefully they can make it happen... read more

Keep in mind that the restaurant has only been open for a few months. So I def see some room for improvement for an updated review. I went here for dinner with some coworkers and it was a vibe! Everyone was dressed to impress, the ambiance was amazing, and the decor was impressive. They did have a DJ playing when we got there, which was cool but the volume steadily got louder and louder which made it hard to hear each other talk. Depending on when you get there, there might only be valet parking available. Service was mediocre, or at least whoever we got as our server was just not the best. I felt like it took forever to put our order in and one of my friends order never got put in so we all got our food and she was watching us eat. With some of the drinks they do a table side service which is pretty neat. The flair with brining certain drinks with dry ice is fun for videos and photos as we read more

I've been eager to try this place for a minute. I mean the style and the vibe is awesome. We came right before rush hour on a Friday. We made sit down reservations but the bar was fairly open so we asked to switch. ( Bar & Sit down menu are significantly differenet in pricing). 4 star instead of 5 because I'm not too sure that their pricing needs to start soo high for the seated tables. My bartenders were amazing (Prisela & Mike) thumbs up!!! Sweet, attentive, and just great service. Great recommendation on drinks and the presentation of the drinks were amazing. The restaurant puts a lot of care in customer satisfaction & it shows. As far as food goes we got a little bit of everything. Tacos: Carnitas - OK, I've had better..def a salsa on top would have made it less dry .. I think overpriced here to be honest Seared Sea Bass - Good, I love seafood ..the mayo sauce was a bit to mayo- ny for me but for those who like the mayo I think it works. I would have liked it to be a bit spicy but that's preference not masses Asada - Delicious, moist & charred at the end so it added a crunch. No complaints. ( We ended up ordering empanadas with this and it did not disappoint) Shrimp - Omg!!! Def took the stage .. Shrimps were not overcooked the sauce was just great and the cabbage mix on top was soo good. We almost ordered another. Drinks - Coco Chanel was not to sweet so those sweet lovers I think would love it Gemini is a must try and soo great looking with the chili decor as a devil horns Plato o Plomo was my favorite and last drink soo good!! Santorini my friend ordered and that was refreshing and significant in quantity too. read more

Sexy ambience! Perfect for a date night or a night out with a small group of girlfriends. We went on a Friday night and it was sort of a club vibe which I really liked. We brought a bottle of rosé and paid the corkage fee which I believe is $25. We got a few appetizers to share, can't remember which but all were really tasty and well portioned. I will definitely be back to try entrees. We loved our server, gosh I wish I could remember his name but he was fabulous! Thank you, DIOSA! read more

FIRST & LAST for me. Had reservations for 8:45 didn't get to our table until 9: 15ish , i asked the girl upfront and kept saying they were just cleaning the table (mind you the restaurant wasn't not packed at all). Got seated and waited another 25 minutes for appetizers ONLY. They most likely charge you for the presentation and aesthetic of the food because to be sincerely honest it was not good. Don't even get me started with the valet parking situation. Parked on the side and as I was walking in the valet driver says I can't park on the last row away from the restaurant because that's the other businesses parking there was not sign stating that. So I told the guys fine I'll do valet my car is the black one parked over there. I realized it was time to pay I had left my wallet in my car so I asked the valet man if I could have my keys to get my wallet and HE DID NOT GIVE ME MY KEYS, he told me he could open the car from a distance. Insinuating/ Assuming that I was going to drive off or what ???? I will not be coming back. I will not be recommending this place to my friends or family !!! read more

I was so excited to be coming here as a local and i was completely let down. We made reservations in which we did not have to wait for a table but it seemed slow and got seated right away. We strictly only came for the drinks as they seemed cute. I ordered the santorini and my friend got an old fashion, requested for no smoke as he doesn't like the flavor. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks... My drink unfortunately had bugs inside. The server did not apologize or ask if i wanted a different drink. He just took it away as if it was something that occurred constantly. They brought out the old fashion smoked... the server took it back and just took it out of the box and brought the same drink. We also decided to get appetizers and considering the price the portions were not worth it. we got the chips and guac and the queso. The queso is brought in a small skillet that instantly gets stuck in. Lastly, my friend went to the restroom and a worker walked in used the urinal and did not wash his hands. Least to say we will never return back here as the service and quality of the drinks and food do not meet the standards they are stating. read more

iosa is a new restaurant that has an amazing atmosphere of elegance and fine dining. The food is a fusion style that's brought to the table as each dish is made. Everything I've eaten there is amazing! There's a lot of chili and delicious spices used. My compliments to the Chef! The host and wait staff are fabulous. Never a complaint and only compliments. The bar tenders are true mixologists!! Overall I would highly recommend Diosa. I guarantee it will be a fantastic dining experience! read more

Came to celebrate my mother's bday and reserved for a party of 10 . Our server was good and we did like him but he just couldn't deliver the best service . And that was because We noticed that we were the biggest party and the restaurant did have about 6other smaller tables and another party but yet we only seen that one server for everyone. It was so frustrating to ask for anything because it would just take to long to find him . We arrived at 3:30 it took about 25min just to get drinks and then about 45 more minutes to get the food.... The food was also just not the best tasting . The mar and Tierra fish was too fishy and overcooked and the mashed potatoes croquette was so odd , not appeasing at all . The ribeye was way too chewy , I could barely cut it and did not pair well with the spicy mashed potatoes . The fajitas meat were overly seasoned , way too charred and salty .The drinks, those were ok. At the moment to ask for the check ,our waiter was no where to be seen so we waved to get someone's attention and all the girls in pink who work there deliberately turned around to not see us to help ,really was upsetting for all of us to see that . Overall, my family left disappointed with the restaurant. We had looked forward to it to celebrate something so meaningful to us and this restaurant just did not deliver . We will not be recommending it again . read more

The establishment itself is beautiful. Drinks were great. However, the service was not good. They forgot many items that never arrived. It took me 1 hr to get my drink. The food itself was subpar. I ordered the enchiladas poblanas which were good. I got the lobster ceviche and was shocked to see it was mostly cabbage and very little lobster (for the price of the plate I wish the lobster would've overpowered the veggies) my party got their drinks, desserts, and entrees at different times. It's good to go and try, but I probably won't be back. I don't mind spending, but it needs to be worth it.... It's on the pricey side and although the environment is instagram photo worthy there's a lot of improvement that needs to be done as far as timely and efficient service.... read more

I really Enjoy my breakfast with Diosa this morning. Emily our Server was super amazing.

We booked a reservation yesterday for my nieces 19th birthday. The security opened the door for us & we were greeted by the host. We were seated about 10 minutes later. Our server Josue did such an amazing job! Very friendly & went above and beyond to make sure my niece had a great birthday & even sang Happy Birthday to her with us, that was nice of him. They had a Happy Birthday poster for my niece, she was shocked & happy about it! We ordered the carnitas & enchiladas poblanas for food, I got the Diosa Margarita & my sister got Rose Gold Margarita. Definitely recommend! The manager Stella & supervisor Mike stopped by at our table to ask how the service was. We had a great time & will be going back for sure! read more

Came here with high hopes for this place but left quite underwhelmed. The interior is spacious at Diosa and looked very nice...though it doesn't quite fit in with the location but it was nice to find in Downey. The food was pricey and honestly not good. The cocktails were presented nicely but a few tasted watered down. We ordered a couple appetizers which were just ok. I ordered the camarones a la diabla but the shrimp was over cooked. For the amount of money we spent that night, honestly we left disappointed. Could be that it was an off night for them but I'm not sure if I will come back. read more

Went here for Valentine's Day dinner last night, and it was a MADHOUSE. We had a reservation for 8 pm. Around 6:30 pm I definitely noticed that we were going to be very late. I work at a doctors office so I fully understand communication about being late for appointments/reservations. And I always want to make sure I am considerate of the business and their schedule. Knowing that we were going to be late, I called. No answer. Called again. No answer. I called maybe 5 or 6 times to see if we could still come or if we needed to change our plans before driving an hour to get there. I even submitted a form online to see if someone could get back to me via email instead of phone. (please see photos) We decided to still go and hope that we could still be seated. Upon arrival the lobby and waiting area was packed. People were standing along the wall and outside. I even heard someone say they had been standing there for an hour. After checking in, we were immediately told that our reservation was cancelled because we were an hour late. Thankfully, another woman upfront was listening to my situation about how I attempted to call multiple times and she allowed us to be seated. (Thank you to her!) After being seated, I felt VERY rushed by our waiter. Although I am thankful to get a table, if the business is going to make the decision to seat us and allow us to support the business, then please let us get the full experience and let us take our time to ENJOY ourselves! Every time our server came to our table he asked if we were ready to put food in. We hadn't even gotten the time to look at the menu yet! The staff was running around (because they were clearly overbooked) and servers even bumped into my chair a few times because they were moving so fast. It wasn't a comfortable setting at all. I also noticed how he was giving out roses to all of the women around me, but didn't give me one. Not sure what that was about.... I got so uncomfortable that I didn't really want to eat my food anymore, even though it was delicious. So the food was great, the plates were gorgeous and my drink was also AMAZING. (I got the Watermelon Paleta and Chicken al Pastor) I am a stickler for customer service and communication and it was not good last night. I don't like negative experiences and I hesitate to share them sometimes, but I hope this review reaches the management and it can be improved in the future. I know this is a new restaurant. Maybe I will come back on a calmer night during the week, but I am not sure if the drive is worth it. read more

The reason why I DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant is because they are overpricing with their food. The prices are ridiculous! Horrible delay in service. My reservation was at 9:15 when I came and I still waited for 30 min to get a table when it was not even crowded. Then after all that wait to get a table, we decided to order our food right away. The server took our order and 15 minutes later he came back to asked if we already decided what we're going to order. SMH! I looked at him like " are you for reals!!?" Then he said "let me see if I put in the order" after that, we waited another 30 minutes for him to come back to say that they are delaying to give them 10 more minutes. How they're delaying when they had two big parties and of couple of tables? My fiancé decided to get up and go to the front to cancel the order and for them to bring the bill that we spend for drinks and an appetizer. After all that at 10:50p, finally after 50 minutes waiting, the food arrived and the manager Mike came out to apologize for the delay. Did not do nothing for us but to offered two free dessert. As courtesy I expected him to remove at least the dry salmon that tasted horrible that cost $45 off the bill. And also my fiancé tortillas were cold and hard. Sorry, but to be completely honest. This place is trash. First, and last time we come here. read more

It was my first time booking our annual Christmas staff dinner here and the experience was amazing. From booking the reservation to paying the bill. Look, this place is expensive. Just accept it. But where else in the area are you going to have cocktails served to you out of a smoking door? Where else are you going to dine in a restaurant resemblant of a bougie Vegas resort? Came here not expecting much, but we were all pretty wowed. The steak was phenomenal. My friends loved the octopus. Appetizers were on point. Didn't care for their flagship tequila drink that looked like grenadine out of a champagne flute, but hey I respect the boldness. If you're looking for a fancy night out unlike anything you can get in Downey, Norwalk, Cerritos, Pico, etc, then this is it amigos. I like that I didn't have to drive all the way to West Hollywood for this. But if you're not ok paying $75 for a steak and $25 for a cocktail, then perhaps you're better off looking elsewhere. Pro Tip: come before 7pm and load up on happy hour drinks and appetizers that are much more affordable read more

Occasion: date night Ages: early 30's I was really excited for this place but sadly it's just not what it's promoted to be. The ambiance was club-like. We skipped dessert because i was getting a headache from the music being so loud and distasteful, I couldn't hear my partner talk. It really seemed more like a wannabe fancied up bar scene. Mind you, the place was not busy at all, 20% occupied at best. Finishing up lunch, we asked our server for a take-home box and the check. We waited so long that we had to ask another server to ask her,,, she passed our table with a menu in her hands (didn't even look at us) and it was another 10 minutes till she came back, no apologies, just a 'thank you'. Diosa ..... your beautiful from outside and the decor is gorgeous. However I am very disappointed with your drinks and food what a waste of food and drinks for only $536 We came with a party of 5 we started with drinks they made recommendations we got our drinks talk about being watered down by the ice. 1. Drink #1 the flight if margaritas they had no flavor there was no alcohol and the colors lifeless it was so bland. We don't mind paying for drink but the expectation is quality over quantity. This certainly did not meet the needs so it was sent back and was replaced by another water down Margarita this time we just took the lost again and said nothing. 2. Drink #2 plata y pomo they they uncovered the drink to show their presentation, and to their surprise, there was no ice in the drink. The waiter said I'm so sorry. Please let me take it back. Here they come back the drink that they just placed iced and was still warm yuck . 3. Drink # 3 Coco Chanel this was all foamy at the top with no correct mixture from my understanding diosa seems that they are trying to specialize in there mixologist drink this drink is a fail. We then take a dive into their appetizers. We ordered there empanadas which actually were delicious and hot so we had some hopes that the food was going to be better tasting then the over rated drinks. We ordered the following: 1. Mar y Terria omg yuck the scallops were rotten. You can smell the old fishiness coming from the plate. The steak was so cold you know it was resting for a while cause all the juices where around the plate. The shrimp was so rubbery it felt like you were chewing on rubber. Seriously the scallops were so disgusting that it over powered the flavor of the meal. 2. The shrimp taquitos how in the world did this make it on the menu? Are they supposed to be served cold no favor and rubbery ? This had to be sent back for a Different thing wow that is just a waste of an appetizer. We ask for Queso Fundedo which came after our meals. 3. Pollo Al Pastor oh gosh talk about burnt broccoli or should I say burnt cauliflower this was black ... the chicken was over cooked and dry no flavor there is just the red dyes to change the color cause it was flavorless 4. Carnitas plate if you bringing it out in a skillet we are hoping that those meats come out piping hot. That was not the case today the meat wasn't warm and my husband was so tired of how all this was going wrong. 5. Last plate the salmon oh man yeah that took forever to cook it was drenched in a sauce. That unfortunately, make it look like a soup no they decided not to take a chance to get it and just left it. The dessert - churros They come and give you a presentation and they run out of gas to cook. They cooked it but seriously we thought it would be hot out of all the plates we ate. No it wasn't even warm the churros were stale. With all honesty if you enjoy cold food that is brunt and flavorless and some rottenness sprinkled on your plates..... Diosa is your spot they will not fail you in this aspect. Or you just want to look at there beautiful decor and snap some pictures for social media you found the spot. Had many experience with great steaks houses or upscale Mexican cuisine and we don't mind splurging on quality food and drinks but this was just unacceptable. What a waste of time, energy, and money. It's just a hyped up restaurant. I will take my losses on this one and when people ask should we try this place ... I will share my experience and don't forget the 3% surcharge added to the bill to stay aligned with inflation in America. Diosa we always want new businesses to succeed and be a hit in the area.... there are many opportunities for improvement that require immediate attention. read more
