So my first experience here wasn't the best--they accidentally forgot to submit the orders for two people in our party. But I'm so glad we decided to give them another chance! The service has improved so much. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always makes sure everything is taken care of. We've tried the ceviche, tacos, appetizers, and drinks, and everything has been delicious. We've been back several times now and love trying something new with each visit. The restaurant itself has such a fun, lively atmosphere with great music and even mariachi. Whether you're celebrating a birthday or special occasion, or just stopping by for Taco Tuesday, it's a fantastic spot. Highly recommend--10/10!

Amores de Julia is a nice restaurant to come visit if you are craving some mexican food. This is considered a fancy restaurant so be prepared to pay 25 dollars for plates of food and 20 bucks per drink. The food does taste really good I got the enchiladas de lengua and loved them I will be back just for those. The drinks are good too but they kind of small for the price. This place is a hit or miss as far as the service sometimes you get a good server whos on top of things sometimes you will get a bad server who doesnt come check on you. Pros -Inside looks nice -Lots of instagramable opportunities -Good food Cons -Pricy -Staff gets lost sometimes -Wish drinks were bigger

I'm not a big fan of the "Kalavera" type of restaurants, BUT after months of avoiding LADJ I was invited to go listen to their Mariachi. I am so glad I did. The mariachi was absolutely fantastic! The food was great ( the test for me is always the beans) Let me tell you the hand made tortillas LOVE them! The whole experience was wonderful from entering the establishment to the table, everyone was great! I would absolutely be going back!

This place has become a new family favorite. We found this one day on our way home from LAX and we've gone back multiple times. The service can be slow at times and it feels as though sometimes they quickly walk by you to avoid you asking for help but luckily at this point we know exactly what to order to avoid asking for much else. Although the service can be slow, the waiters and waitresses are nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is clean and lively.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We have gone several times where there is a mariachi or some type of music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also do sing for your birthday and make you feel very special.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is what honestly brings us back every time. Each person in my family has their go to meal and it's phenomenal. My only concern is that we notice for certain holidays or event events, the portions are small smaller however the price remains the same. We went for Father's Day, and we immediately noticed how much smaller each entrée was compared to our experiences in the past and our most recent visit. Hopefully it stays consistent moving forward.

Such a cute restaurant with great potential, however the service unfortunately did not meet expectations. First, we ordered drinks once, but our server did not return to check on us until the very end of our visit, so we never had the opportunity to order additional drinks. We were also not offered water at the table. I'm unsure if water must be requested, but in most restaurants complimentary water is typically provided, and it's a simple gesture that goes a long way. Additionally, we were seated at 2:35 PM and did not receive our food until around 3:30 PM. nearly an hour later. The food itself was good and we enjoyed it overall. The portions were okay, though if you're used to larger portion sizes, you may find them to be on the smaller side. Overall, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and a lot of potential, but the service and long wait time took away from the experience. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars and hope to see improvements in the future.

We celebrated my brother's birthday at Los Amores de Julia on a Tuesday, and it was such a great experience! The food was delicious, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was warm and welcoming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and everything came out fresh. Samantha was especially amazing she was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. She helped make my brother's birthday celebration feel extra special. I definitely recommend this restaurant, and if you get Samantha as your server, you're in great hands!

I have to start off with saying that we had some of the best nachos I've ever had. The service was great, they have a menu for english and the location is wonderful. They have the cutest cocktail cup (you have to go see for yourself). Once in a lifetime opportunity to go during dia de los muertos, it was absolutely beautiful, breathtaking and magical. I hope to make it a tradition with my daughter and me. Side note the churro waffle was to. die. for.

The overall service was extraordinary. Our SERVER Alfonso was amazing.! My coffee never went cold because he was very attentive and his service was above and beyond. Thank you so much for employing someone like Alfonso. I will definitely come back for the great service I received. The food is definitely delicious and the drinks are over. Well amazing!

Great service, drinks, great food Alfonso it's on point!! Thank you

    GRAN SOPE

omg food was SO yum!!! I had the gran sope and it was delicious (sauce was amazing!!) we also had queso fundido as an appetizer and that was great! the handmade tortillas were also great! [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambience is very enjoyable (a little loud for our grandparents lol) but we loved what they played so it was totally fine! didn't expect to be serenaded by a juan gabriel impersonator, it was a fun experience!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] would definitely recommend and come back with friends!

I brought my mother here for dinner on a Tuesday and the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived. We waited several minutes before someone came to sit us. The inside was very cute and gave Tulum vibes. We ordered different dishes. My Gordinez plate tasted good at first, but halfway through I realized the meat was undercooked and still raw. I didn't notice at first because the seasoning was the same color as the raw meat. I informed the server and received no apology or concern. Instead, she bluntly asked, "What do you want me to do about it?" I asked for the food to be fully cooked and boxed to go, at that point I was over it. Between the slow service, being served raw food, and poor customer service, I would not recommend this place.

    Cute aesthetic

    Se necesita hacer reservación?

Para mi familia de 5 si hicimos reservaciones de adelante. Había varias mesas de familias y grupos grandes así que yo recomendaría para que pueda asegurar mesa para el día y tiempo que quieran.

Do you have carne en su jugo?

    Yes

    Do they take tap?

I am not sure, I paid in cash.

On what days & times does the mariachi play/live music?

they said every day .but since the canelo match was on they said after the fight .we left before they got there

    Do we need reservations?

Yes or they will turn you away on a weekend if it's busy! Even with reservation we waited 45 minutes!

    What time does mariachi play?

They do not honor reservations. They canceled my reservation and wanted my party to wait an hour to sit. They were rude and unprofessional.

Do I have to make a reservation?

You don't need reservation, but i will recommend to do it so just in case is a long wait for a table

I remember a video a restaurant serving chilaquiles but in Pico Rivera,I using Yelp to find the restaurant bingo found it the restaurant called Taquearte California/Duran Mexican Bakery in one building. The restaurant cross between Rosemead Blvd and Beverly Blvd in shopping center on the left there's plenty parking on the street. Found parking just walking distance from the restaurant right ways we notice the restaurant is packed but there's a sign to have a seat and wait. We got a staff member hand a menu and order to the cashier. We look at the menu then we notice people were coming in and getting in line behind us. My wife order the Verdes classics not spicy with a egg on top. I order the same item but with egg and steak m,the eggs and steak are $4.50 each then we order our drinks she got Jamaica and I got a Mexican Coke both are refreshing with a meal are having. We're surprise our meals just arrived at the table so quick my wife couldn't wait to tasted the chilaquiles she love the chilaquiles she this were the best chilaquiles I ever tasted she please. First the chili Verde sauce amazing good so much flavor with right citrus acid in sauce that make the sauce good, but chips were crunchy and hold up to the sauce and cheese add more intense flavors to the dish with egg make everything creamy with Yolk it so good. If like chilaquiles you need to come to Taquearte California in Pico Rivera. The staff at the Taquearte California were amazing great with patience and friendly we also give thanks to the cooks and the staff in kitchen thank you.

The prices were fair for the amount of food you receive. The chilaquiles were honestly very delicious and full of flavor -- definitely my favorite item we tried. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the quesadilla. My son did not enjoy it very much. As for the service, it was not the most welcoming experience. The staff mostly stared at us, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable during our visit. this change the atmosphere. The songs were very catchy. The music is amazing, but the steering problem was uncomfortable. Nevertheless, the food itself was enjoyable enough that I do look forward to coming back again and trying more items from the menu.

It comes as part of an entree, but never found out which one. Turns out the cook/owner was once the executive chef at Angel Stadium. So food was solid, traditional and nothing fancy nouvelle or la de da...nothing crazy experimental...just good solid Mex that will satisfy a craving. The Jamaica was not too sweet not too sour....not watered down...light and refreshing....wish I had asked for a refill or maybe they don't do refills on agua frescos, I don't know. Very nice extensive menu. Plenty of free parking. Tucked in the corner of a strip mall on Roaemead Blvd. Not easily visible from the street in any direction. So pay attention to your GPS.
