Taylor, our server, was super sweet and attentive. The food was delicious and the ambiance was so nice. The place is pricey but it's mostly worth it. read more

It's very pretty and well built. But the food was not to par I'm a steak fanatic and their tomahawk was burnt, they brought everyone's food and I had to wait over 30 minutes for my food unaseptable. The prices are over the roof, and I understand it is new and fancy but overrated. Take a look for yourself. read more

This place is delicious! My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. David our waiter, treated us so special. His service was excellent and the food was delicious! Thank you David! read more

Attended my sister's birthday dinner party on Saturday and didn't get a chance to review this place until now. The scenery was amazing (great for pictures) and the drinks were good. The food was terrible as more than half the party's food was cold and arrived late. My boyfriend got food poisoning from the Shrimp Enchiladas plate and it ruined our whole night! We also ordered 2 guacamole and chips as an appetizer and we didn't receive them until after our meals were served. I asked to speak to a manager and it took her over 30 mins to arrive at the table. I mentioned my concerns to her and she said, "there's nothing we can do". The waiter also was no where to be found for majority of our time at the restaurant. Overall the service was not good but the atmosphere was nice. read more

Ambiance was very nice. Drinks very good ! My sister had her birthday party and everything was good until the food came ! It was a party of 11 and half of the food was cold! My food happened to be hot as I got the shrimp enchiladas. I was only able to stomach 1 as something was off. I began to THROW UP an hour after eating the food. It's been 2 days and I still cannot stomach any food ! Definitely food poisoning ! Not saying don't go, but just saying be careful ! read more

David gave me great service at the bar! Recommend this place if you want to feel boujee for the night with some tasty food and drinks!

I'll go ahead and start with a positive. Love the decor , staff was great and place is kept clean. The alcoholic beverages (Coco Chanel ), ohh bad .. bad .. it was all sugar. The Paloma on the other hand was better , you could actually taste the alcohol. Had the Steak Arrechera , first bite all fat . It was also lacking flavor. This place is fun for drinks at the bar, that's it . read more

Terrible service! It was a sad experience for my bday, they Didn't respect my reservation I had made weeks in advance, had all of my guests waiting in lobby. And at the end they overcharged our bill. read more

I live in the area and I was so excited to try this new restaurant, however service is terrible and they give u happy hour prices but when your check comes they charge you full price for what ever you ordered. On top of that I killed two Mosquitos with my napkin preventing them from going to my food or to the table next to us. They also charged us for dressing for our dry assss salads! I asked the Chinese manager if she can remove the charge from our salad dressing because our salad was really dry and she said no. Point being they can check their cameras for the mosquitos I killed and we also witness a waitress dropping a glass margarita on another females leg and she cut her (also can check the cameras). Never coming back and would not recommend it at ALLL!!! read more

Went for mothers birthday, the customer service is perplexing on how awful it was. No form of respect between waitresses and the customer. The food is mediocre at best some dishes are good some are just not there. Tough steak asked for it medium some places it was in others it was well done. We had asked if there was anything available for birthdays and sure enough they give you ice cream but where they really screwed it up was when the lady brought it to us when my mother still had her plate of food in front of her. The drinks were below average for the price and lastly it was the waitress bringing us the check without us asking for it which just served us the customer a bad taste as if we were being rushed. The place is beautiful but it gives that sense of a fancy hotel lobby. Management needs to straighten up because the place has potential but they're focused on the wrong areas. Overall decent looking place overpriced for the quality and customer service needs a lot of work. Shoutout to one of the guys who fills up the waters he was on top of it. read more

Food was great, but service was HORRIBLE. We waited 15 minutes to get acknowledged & to be asked if we wanted water. We had like 5 different servers and not one came up to ask us if we were okay & if it was a special occasion. Dirty dishes were not removed from the table & were left on the corner. read more

Very overpriced! If you go with a group and order the paella, then it might be worth it as you can split the bill. Went today with my daughter , both our first time; and the food isn't anything special, just extremely overpriced. The inside is nice and I'm thinking if the overpriced food is justification because of the fancy hanging chandeliers and mirrored ceilings. I would not recommend this restaurant . read more

The decor and ambiance is nice but food is super super overpriced. Our bill for two was $150 and I spent the same amount at Javier's, an actual upscale restaurant last week. Silverware was dirty. Don't bother. read more

Diosa is high elevated restaurant that met all the expectations from the moment you walk in you feel welcomed and well taken care of and acknowledged. Taylor was our server and she was so sweet and very attentive, she would refill our waters consistently and made sure we were well taken care of. OMG and the food it was so delicious the portions they have for one person is a pretty decent (aka a large amount). Also it was my birthday so they brought me a paper with my name on it with a complementary ice cream with candle and a shot, presentation was immaculate. I would recommend this place a thousand percent. Again thank you Taylor for taking care of us. You made my birthday special. read more

I was a little skeptical about this place out but I was meeting up some friends for a birthday during the week. We had a good time, food is a little pricey but I did get the rib steak and it was really good. The drinks were fire with a nice presentation Jorge was awesome on recommending the plomo drinks as well as the food definitely recommend read more

Hope this review help this restaurant change things as it's an excellent concept, but... service is not what you would expect for the price you will pay. Managers are attentive but the waiters need to be the same or more. We got attended way after other people came after us, our food arrived in a not acceptable way, we were 2 person and only and one of us got served the main dish first and then 15 minutes later I got my main dish. This should not be acceptable in this kind of restaurant. Even in King Taco, to put an example, they give you all your party's food at the same time. Now let's talk about the restrooms, at a place like this, that looks very high class, is expected that their restrooms would be super clean and welcoming, well, no, unfortunately they were dirty, extremely dirty ( the men's ), this talks about how the restaurant is in the kitchen as employees use the same restrooms. There were crew girls with carts offering drinks, but they would just pass us by without offering us one, we were eager to get one but the 3 that passed by us ignored us completely. About their crew, they do have a lot of crew, a lot, for these things to be happening. But this restaurant has potential, it has the feeling of high end restaurant, so hope this rating gets to their upper management so they can take action on these problems and solve them before they en up closing down for people realizing that it's not worth the price for the experience. But maybe this will never get viewed or answer as all the 79 reviews before mine, kind of got ignored. read more

Diosa would be a solid 5 stars if they decided to work out their customer service. It took them close to 2 hours to finally give us our food. But I cannot discredit the amazing atmosphere and good food. Hopefully they fix the customer service soon! read more

My good girlfriends and I chose Diosa for a birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. From the ambiance, to the delicious food to the excellent service, we had an amazing time. Had the worst experience ever well besides one server William he was on point he was friendly, polite and on it but besides that everything else sucked. The cooks got our order wrong 3 times and for our main server was not good at all had took for ever to come and see if we needed anything we asked so drinks one hour later and nothing until we told William and right away went to go check it out. Music was good, vibe wasn't good. So for you William keep it up great job read more

Came across this spot on IG reels; the videos online made the food and place look AMAZING so expectations were high. Upon entering there is a beautiful ambiance, the aesthetics are phenomenal: However, customer service was AWFUL: Upon getting seated a Saturday morning the restaurant was not busy yet it took over an hour to get our drinks and about two hours to get our food/. In addition, the server didn't really come by to check on us and when they did they kept forgetting to bring what we asked. Our party spoke to the manager at the end of our visit and they apologized and claimed it was because they were busy when in fact it wasn't. For the inconvenience we were given one free dessert and a card to contact them the next time we come: Overall this place is over priced for the service and food quality they provide, this place only has good plate and drink presentation and a cute aesthetic if you just want cute pics, over priced drinks and food and terrible service then this is the place for you. read more

I was there last Saturday, on Father's Day weekend. The ambiance was great, the music and the food were good. But, most of all; I really enjoyed the service. I don't know where they are getting good reviews from but let me tell you I'm not the 1st to be disappointed in this new restaurant in Downey very Horrible service this place is to hyped up for nothing I went on Valentine's Day had reservation just to get a Coca Cola for a child took 45mins we even got our cocktails first before a regular soda ridiculous! You will be given over priced food for sure That's not even the worst part all of our foods came out at different times so we didn't even eat together all our plates where 15-20min apart makes no since it's a restaurant where your suppose to enjoy dinner with your company people your with & that didn't happen waiters don't even come by and check if you need anything very bad experience this place is just ah I'll try it for the hype but I won't go back. I can tell u there are definitely better places in Downey to try & even on busy holidays you'll have great experiences. read more

First time at Diosa last night and it will be the last. Upon being seated, we were not attended for 15 minutes. Finally, I got someone's attention who took our food and drink order. About 10 minutes, Sofia, who we found out was supposed to be our waiter finally showed up and ask us what we wanted. The food was good but for this place that's fancy and pricey it needs to improve in their service. read more

One star for the decor. One star for the hostess, appetizer and one of our drinks (The Phoenix - smoky, spicy yumminess). Our hostess provided great service, and ended up becoming our bartender and waitress at different times throughout the night (we actually tried to find her at the end of the night to give her all of our tip, but no luck). Honestly, for such a hefty bill, I expected better. Should have read more reviews. Maybe it's worth it if you are just going for drinks, but just left me with a bitter experience to come back and try that (plus, so many other super tasty places in Southeast LA, that cost a third of the price). They really need better overall staff management and better food. I would recommend the Ahi Tuna Tower crudo, but everything else was eh - not bad, but also not great. I ordered the Enchiladas Poblanas - good flavor but lukewarm by the time they arrived at my table. My husband had the Steak Arrechera - cooked to his liking but lacked seasoning. The Poblano Mashed Potatoes were his fave part of the dish, but not sure the tiny portion is worth the $50 (you can order them as a side though). And again, for the price, eh doesn't cut it for us... no wow factor in flavor. Now, about the service, I think our actual waiter came by like 3 times: 10-15 minutes or so after we sat down to finally take our order (we made a reservation, and we still waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated) --- so overall, we waited about 20-30 minutes before our order was taken. Then, our appetizer came (no cocktails), then our hostess felt bad and went and made the drinks herself and brought them to our table (we had already finished our appetizer) and again the hostess passed by to check on us and went to the kitchen to find out what was taking so long, then food came 20-30 minutes later. Then, like almost when we were done, waiter reintroduced himself to ask if we needed anything and if we wanted dessert. He then disappeared and we waited about another 20-30 minutes until he reemerged to ask for the check. Hey, at least they were somewhat consistent with their wait time. To top it all off, we get charged a 3% surcharge to offset increased costs. Yeah, I've only seen that in Vegas. Then we made the big mistake of valet parking - $10.75 on top of tip. I don't mind paying (hoping the valet workers get paid higher than minimum wage) but be clear and have signage on the cost. Also, $10.75 to park my car a few stalls away (restaurant is in a sort of shopping center/mini-mall area, surrounded by parking spaces)? These unexpected charges were just plain tacky. I know they just recently opened, and I would normally give it another chance, but just too much of a gamble for the price. I so wanted to like this fine dining experience, but you don't get fine dining or or an exquisite experience for the price, in my opinion. In comparison to other similarly 'priced' dining in Los Ángeles, this place is a bit fraudulent. There are far better, you just gotta drive a bit to get to them (why I was so excited to have something like this nearby). And then there's those hidden fees and charges; it's just too much for me. read more

Had reservations and still waited an 1.5 hours. Over priced and the food wasn't even all that. But the place is very pretty.

The restaurant itself was very aesthetically pleasing. The drinks were very good. I really enjoyed my veggie empanadas. My guava cheesecake was probably the best cheesecake I've ever had! My husband did not like his carnitas he ordered he said they were tasteless he ended leaving most of his plate. I am giving 2 stars for the service I received. I was seated immediately I did have a reservation though. As soon as I was seated I was offered water right away and after I got my water that was the last I seen of any servers for over 10 mins I had to stop someone to ask if anyone can take our drink orders and even after I asked I still had to wait another 5-10 minutes for someone to come take our drink orders. The server that came to take my drink order seemed like he was bothered that he had to come help me and he had a bit of an attitude . I don't remember his name he only took my drink order and someone else came to help me with my food order. I feel like the service should be way better for the prices they are charging for their food. My food came out all separately my side came out when I was almost done with my empanadas. I had higher expectations for this place. read more

We decided to try this place last night. My overall experience was good, a nice environment, fancy decorations, comfortable atmosphere & good services. Also, delicious food and the variety of drinks were amazing with a great presentation. My observation was that importance to develop a better system when delivering food and beverage to tables. Many occasions we were asked if we had ordered x food or beverages interrupting our conversation, serves looked lost and continued asking other customers if that was their order. It doesn't look professional. Diosa you can do better! read more

Service was good at first, but then the server left us for a while. I saw staff bicker in front of our table. I originally had drinks at the bar before sitting for a 3 hour dinner. I left my credit card at the bar. I asked staff and the manager for help. Greg told me he would not be able to look for my card until after they closed and would call me the next day. WTF?! I mentioned I lived an hour away and his comeback was well. I live in Lake Forest and drive to work every day. Again, WTF?! I asked them to please check the bar and check the folio box for my credit card. He mentioned people have left their cards and it should be okay. I wasted 30 minutes standing there watching them walk around and do nothing. I leave and within 10 minutes. I get a call that they found my card. I go back again to the restaurant and the hostess hands me my card without even checking my ID. No apology, nothing. Very disappointed. It was my first time there. Place is beautiful, service needs training. read more

I wanted to love this place as its so close to home and the place is very nicely decorated but unfortunately the experience wasn't as great for the expectations we had. My friend and I came for her birthday a week into their opening. We got seated right away and ordered drinks with the waitress. The drinks were probably the best thing we had all night but it did take about 20 minutes for them to come out. As it came down to place out order the waitress informed us that the sides that are listed with the entrees do not in fact come with the entrees and they are separate. We were both confused as the menu clearly listed the sides with entrees nor did it say with choice of or not included. Anywho, we ordered our food and sides and waited a while for this to come out as well. She had the carne asada rice and beans and I ordered the carnitas and beans. The carnitas were overloaded with onions and the beans were just okay. We decided to try the creme brûlée for dessert and this was a mistake. We waited about half an hour for the dessert to come out. Once we finally took a spoonful we discovered that the creme brûlée was raw as it was a soupy consistency. We asked for this to be taken back. The manager and chef came out and apologized for the wait and mistake which I appreciated. The bill came out to about $240 before tip for 2 people before they removed the dessert. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back as I would rather drive to Weho or BH if I'm going to be paying the same price. read more
