Finally made a visit to Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. Not sure what took us so long. It was delicious! Started with smoked chicken wings in Hello Buffalo sauce. So good! Not too smoky. Sauce was tasty. For lunch I had a 2 meat combo plate and my husband had a half rack of ribs. I chose pulled pork and brisket with Mac and cheese and fries. For his sides my husband chose Mac and cheese and coleslaw. The meats were so tender. The sides were delicious. Their original sauce is just right as far as flavor. Our server was Angela. She shared that she typically works in the kitchen. She was great! An amazing meal all around! Brisket nachos started the party and were great! Perfect amount of brisket and toppings in each bite. I had the three meat platter with St. Louis Ribs, Brisket, and pulled pork. Food was good. A solid 7.5 ... sides were great though. I liked the potato salad but the Mac n cheese was so creamy with that burnt bit of cheese on top! The hostess was a total B**** because we asked to sit outside on a hot day in Buffalo. Her face when we asked was unapologetic and I feel sorry for whomever she is dating. Our server, Lauren, was as sweet as a Georgia peach. She was great and the restaurants saving grace. We ate here the other night and it was pretty good. We ordered the "power couple" which includes one pork slider and one brisket slider, both with regular BBQ and two sides. We chose mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The meat was incredibly well-cooked, tender, juicy, thick, and falling apart. This really the most essential requirement of good BBQ, and this place did not disappoint. The sauce was solid, a little bit more of a kick than I like (I like almost no kick) but not bad. However, all the sides were very meh. The coleslaw had good flavor, but it was runny. The mashed potatoes were so full of pepper we didn't finish them. My son got the fries, which were brown and limp, as well as the beans that had so much green pepper in them that was about all you could taste. Again the meat was really top quality, so I am giving all of my 4 stars for that, but I think that if we come back I would just order the meat to go and serve it with my own sides at home. read more

This was my first time at Dinosaur BBQ, husband's first time at this location; a Thursday evening, 6pm-ish. They do not take reservations. When we arrived, the hostess said the wait would be 15-20 for a table, or no wait to sit at the bar. We opted for the bar, it was full service, and the bartender was great. Our food took a while, and hub's 3 meat plate was delivered missing the brisket, but when we told the bartender he went to the kitchen and got it himself, which was cool. Everything was delicious and you know I love to take home a good next-day lunch. In general, the restaurant is pretty nice, it's a little on the crowded/noisy side, the tables are cleared quickly, overall it was pretty clean. There are some cool vintage photos by the bar. We stopped in about 7:30 on a Tuesday and had no trouble getting seats, even with a party of 6. The menu is pretty extensive, and we spent about 15 minutes deciding what to get. Good news, there were options like the "power couple" to get a little of several items. The food was very good. The meat was tender and flavorful. The sides were tasty, too. I order dinner from the Dinosaur tonight through DoorDash. A few weeks ago I ordered the brisket sandwich and the brisket melted in my mouth. It may have been the best brisket I ever had eaten. So tonight I orded the brisket and ribs double meat platter because I was so pleased the last time. However, tonight almost 50% of the brisket was fat and unedible. The ribs were so overcooked it was like eating shoe leather. I'm done with the Dinosaur and will stick with BW BBQ where the food is always good. read more

Stopped in on opening night at the new Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Hamburg. Even though we were told the wait would be about 30 minutes, we were seated in just 5-10, which was a great start considering how busy it was. The food did not disappoint. The pulled pork was delicious, and the brisket was just as good--tender, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. The pork belly seemed a little overdone, or maybe just different from what I'm used to, but everything else more than made up for it. The sides were absolutely amazing. We tried the fried rice, BBQ beans, fresh-cut fries, and mac and cheese, and every single one was a hit. Portions were generous. Service was another highlight. The staff was incredibly friendly, and our waitress was fantastic--especially impressive for the first day of reopening in a brand-new location. Overall, they were spot on. As We drove up the awesome BBQ smell flows by my nose like the cartoons when I was a Kid! my nose goes up in the air like a dog ! It all tastes as great as it smells! I missed that when they were Down townI I had the full rack of ribs , awesome , tender fall of the bone and delicious ! I had the beens and the rice as side. Both were very flavorful and the portion seemed larger than before. The wife had the big ass pork plater with the spicy corn and creamy mashed potatoes! They were all very delicious! The pork was tender and very flavorful ! We loved it all ! The only tiny miss in the corn bread is a bit dry so I put some of the BBQ sauce on it ! It's not decorated like the other places and we've been to Syracuse and Rochester so the honky tonk atmosphere is missing but the food it just as awesome so it's home now! I've been to a few of the other Dino BBQ locations but this was my first time at this one. The service was excellent - everyone was very friendly and quick to bring everything. They even let us have samples of a few of the sides to try before we ordered which was awesome and sold me on the Cajun corn. We got the deviled eggs to start which were very tasty. I opted for the fish fry which was a special for lent and it was phenomenal - surprisingly one of the best I've had in a long time. The corn and mac & cheese sides were both delicious as well. We left very satisfied with everything. The restaurant was pretty busy so it was loud but not too loud that we couldn't hear each other. We got a table right away and it was easy to find parking. Gave it some time to settle down but had to give it a try. Couldn't wait any longer. Told it would be 30-45 min so we grabbed a seat at the bar. Table was ready when our drinks were delivered, maybe 6 to 8 minutes. Wife's loganberry mule was very good. Service was good. Restaurant is very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Place was hopping but the food came out fast and was amazing! I went with the Tre Ninos. St Louis BBQ ribs were the highlight. Fall off the bone perfection. Wife had the Power Couple which is a prime brisket slider and a pork Memphis slider. She loved the prime brisket. Sides were fantastic. Mac and cheese was super cheesy, mashed potatoes and gravy, the BBQ fried rice with BBQ meats and BBQ beans with pork were way better than I explected. Portion size was great and thought prices were very reasonable for what we ate. We will definitely be visiting this place often. read more

As a big lover of all things BBQ, they fall a bit short. The pork belly was the best thing I ate, so tender and loved the pickled onions and jalapeños. The brisket was okay, almost like a pulled pork consistency, prefer a slab that's pulled off the smoker at 203 degrees. And my ribs were solid, can add 2 center cuts to any plate for $5 which I thought was a good deal. Proper BBQ needs great sides, and I did not enjoy the cornbread, way too dry. The potato salad was that of grandmas you can buy at the store, and the coleslaw was just okay. The blood orange margarita was tasty and the drink menu looked pretty good. Service was great, especially being super packed as it's a brand new spot and not downtown. Great family atmosphere. They did an amazing job with the space. It is open and beautiful. The bar is cozy and In the summer it will be beautiful with the doors all open and being able to sit outside. The food is amazing. Having to eat gluten free they are super careful. They have a gluten free menu,they change gloves, bring out on a special colored plate and bring out separate to avoid cross contamination. Everything went well except for bake beans worse I ever had need to change that distasteful receipe green peppers don't go with baked beans. I've tried different establishments in the Western New York area. I just haven't found anything to match what I'm accustomed to. I came here from Lockport. I ordered 3 meat combo. Jalapeño sausage, brisket and pulled pork. The sausage had the perfect pop and the taste was smooth, tender and the pepper had the enough spice. The brisket was perfect, very tender. You didn't need a knife to cut it. I pulled a piece off and ate it. The brisket tasted good even without the sauce that they had on it. The bark had great flavor combined with the center of the meat slice. The pulled pork was the same. Nice and tender and awesome flavor. The sauce on both although not needed took everything to the next level. The atmosphere was awesome. Definitely will make the drive back. read more

Everything we ordered was incredible! As a pickle fanatic, the house-made pickles on my sandwich might have been my favorite part - honestly if they offered them as a side dish I'd order them! We loved everything and the portions were generous, especially for the kids meals. Pricing is fair, and the service was excellent. We took a chance going on a busy weekend. Me and my wife were excited to try this place after it opened. We both love bbq. Short wait, freindly staff, clean inside. Food was so so to us. Not terrible but many other bbq places in the area are home runs and our food just fell short. Ribs were good, pulled pork was run of the mill, wasn't a fan of the brisket so much. Coleslaw was tart, jalapeño baked beans where to strong for our taste all jalapeño flavor and no bbq flavor. Cornbread was delicious. Mac and cheese was bland and overly peppered. I wish there were a few more bbq sauces that weren't spicy to choose from. All our meats came with sauce all ready on them . Which I prefer meat plain and add what sauce I want. Wow. Extremely tasty BBQ, better than the downtown location ever was. The brisket was tender/juicy, the pulled pork was super tender and flavorful even without sauce, the ribs were perfectly done, and the pork belly was a great touch as well. All sides were great. Service was fast/efficient/friendly. The new location was packed but there was just enough parking. Probably the best BBQ in Buffalo. Good bar space and tables. Can see TVs from nearly everywhere. Literally drive to Rochester. Where do I start??? The downtown Buffalo Dino had personality. This is the fast food McDonald's version of Dino BBQ. The menu isn't as good as Rochester or Syracuse. Literally the best Dino side dish of all time is the tomato cucumber salad. Nope, not on the menu. We had a long wait so we went to the bar. The bartenders had zero personality and seemed pissed to be working. 45 minute wait and when our table was ready they say, "did they tell you when we checked in (a little after 5pm) that we are out of ribs?" Seriously? The beginning of the dinner rush and they are out of ribs - the signature dish. Do yourself a favor and go to Fat Bob's or drive to the Dino in Rochester. Definitely a bad bad bad suburb version of Dino and I mean that in a bad way. Too bad because the downtown Buffalo Dino was really great. I've been to fast food bbq places that rival this place. I ordered the chicken wings. Ok, room temp. Another in the party ordered a burger with bacon. That's literally what was brought out. A burger with bacon. No bun. You can't make this up.
