We should've skipped it when we called over hours to make a reservation and got a full voicemail. We should've left when we walked in and saw that it looks like a gutted Sam's Club added some dinosaur decor. We tried, but our child was crying at the thought of not being able to see dinosaurs so this ended up being a $175 pity stay to avoid a meltdown. There were 7 of us and only the child was happy with his meal (grilled cheese). The server was new and unfamiliar with much about the menu, they were slow, very slow. The food was expensive and it wasn't good. Note that no substitutions are allowed so if you can't eat mashed potatoes for your diet, you are stuck with them. Most meals were left nearly untouched by the adults. A raptor character comes out and briefly interacts with tables. There was that. The kid liked it. Just save your money. read more

I see a lot of folks complaining about the cost and quality of the food, while they are not wrong the atmosphere was wonderful. would I go back, probably not but to see my grandson's face when he walked in was well worth the price. We we pleasantly and unexpectedly pleased with this establishment! When we first went in it appeared to be a bit spartan and I worried the food would be good. This is because the dinos appeared to be like stuffed animals, that is until they came alive! Our 5 year old grandson loved it! When one walked up to our table, that about did it. But then the magician that came to our table and did some tricks finished our time to be a delightful experience! Our food was amazingly fantastic. I had the ribs and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were hand mashed and the meat literally fell off the bone. Others had the chicken Alfredo. They loved it and the seasoning on the chicken. The veggies were fresh and cooked perfect. The atmosphere was great. Def Dino themed with animatronics and all. Even though our 3 yr olds did not like any of it and were beyond terrified of the walking around velociraptor, I enjoyed the theme of it. The food was terrible and insanely over priced. I get they have to pay for all the animatronics and costume walkers but $16 for a kids meal is crazy and $26 for a "chicken sandwich" which was just 2 of the kids meal frozen chicken tenders slapped on a dry bun is not what I am looking for. I don't mind paying for ambience but they food has to be edible and this was near not being. With all that being said, should the kids have been older and enjoyed it more it would have been worth the experience. Us 3 adults are not mad bc we did want to try it and you never know until you go even if you read 1000 reviews on a place. My 3 year old son absolutely loved coming here! He is all about dinosaurs and this place did not disappoint. The animatronics were really fun, especially the t-rex at the front desk area! He also loved seeing the squirrel from Ice Age and some cool dragons! Our server was excellent, very friendly and got everything right. When the live dinosaur came around to the tables, the female "handler" was so kind and helped my son feel at ease reaching his hand out to touch the dinosaur's face. We are vegan and the only reason I took off one star is because I would love to see an impossible or veggie burger added to the menu. There aren't any options other than salad, french fries and a fruit cup. We ordered the salad and it was huge! It fed myself and my husband. My son ate fries/fruit. After reading numerous reviews about Dinoland stating that it was nothing more than a tourist trap and that the food was horrible, I definitely went in with low expectations. Since this trip was specifically for my daughters and Dinoland is geared towards kids, we took a chance on it. My family and I went in for lunch on a weekday afternoon and we were seated immediately since the place wasn't packed at all. Our waitress was friendly and the service was good. The regular menu consisted of burgers, salads, steaks, fish, and pizzas, all ranging in price from $11.99 to $54.99/plate. The children's menu consisted of chicken tenders, burger, ribs, fish, grilled cheese, fruit, and fries. All kids meals were $11.99-$12.99 and included ice cream for dessert. We ordered a Pinosaur chicken with pineapple ($21.99), Paleozoic era burger ($17.99), and a grilled cheese kids meal ($11.99). The entrees came out in a reasonable amount of time and actually tasted pretty good...much better than expected! The burger was well seasoned, tasted flame grilled, and came complete with lettuce, tomato, onions, bacon, and pickles. The shoestring fries were good and were actually similar to McDonald's fries in taste. My husband said his chicken and rice entree was flavorful. It had to have been since he devoured every bite of it! Both entrees came with a side salad. It was a pretty basic salad with iceberg lettuce, 2 grape tomatoes, 2 slices of cucumber, shredded carrots, and your choice of dressing. My girls ate their grilled cheese meals, so I'm guessing they were pretty happy with it. The dinosaur props and characters throughout the restaurant kept the kids busy and entertained the entire time. There's also a bar and gift shop within the restaurant. The place could use a bit of remodeling both inside and out. It's obviously an older restaurant. The restrooms also weren't the cleanest. I personally wouldn't make a return visit but my kids had a great time and they're the sole reason why I chose Dinoland in the first place. read more

We went on Friday, July 7th at 4:45 pm. What a fabulous experience for kids! It's a rare thing when a place EXCEEDS my expectations, but this def did! Our server, Kimberly was so sweet and attentive, the busboys were busy, the aid walking with dinosaur was a sweetheart, and the magician that visited table side was so engaging with the kids! I was worried after reading some reviews, and I learned a few helpful hints. 1) Book your dinner or lunch experience online, so you are guaranteed a table and don't get bumped out by all the walk-ins. 2) Go after the lunch crowd, or slightly before dinner crowd (at 4:30 pm-we almost had the place to ourselves for the first hour!) 3.) If you have toddlers, small children, bring their own little cups/water bottles - because the charge full price for drinks. 4) the portions are BIG! One kids meal easily feeds TWO kids, and while the price seems high, a bowl of ice cream after dinner is also included. 5) The food was pretty good, nothing stellar, but the FUN was worth it! Our 3 year old loved every single minute! Order some appetizers and a drink for adults verses meals. 6) the drinks are STRONG! Wooweee! We had fried shrimp app, kids meal chicken tenders, kids meal grilled cheese, chicken sandwich, milkshake, & a couple of drinks. I would def recommend this place to others when they come to visit us at the beach. **We also celebrated our granddaughters birthday there, and the staff came out and sung and brought her a complimentary kid sized slice of cake and fruit! We made reservations as we knew, being Saturday and being at the beach, it was going to be busy. When we arrived, we were Immediately sat and the show instantly started. The raptor started walking around and the standing dinosaurs started moving. My kids loved it! It was very interactive and the service was good. The food is pricey but I think you're paying for the experience which made it worth it for us. There is a T. rex that goes from table to table for the children to interact with and my daughter loved it. My husband and I shared the Alfredo and the fried shrimp entree. Both were pretty good. DinoLand Cafe was an unexpected surprise! We were just looking for anywhere open on Christmas Day and wandered in- and oh, what a fun experience it was to dine here! The decor is all large animated dinosaurs and other assorted creatures (ie the wooly mammoth). On cue, the animations play either both movement and noise and it's just pure fun! The food was surprisingly good as well. We went with the sabertooth chicken sandwich and the tyranno burger and not only were the sandwiches huge, they were very tasty! The homemade ranch dressing with the salads is recommended as are the French fries. And did I mention the service? Not only was the service pleasant and on top of things, but we had the added bonus of a dinosaur coming to our table. The server claimed that it should say OR not AND. The side salad was horrible. There was plenty of carrots and purple cabbage but very little lettuce. The balsamic dressing was gross!! I think they left out the balsamic vinegar. The ribs were drowned in barbeque sauce - $32.99 - comes with gross mashed potatoes. Plates came out badly chipped and cracked. You don't serve on these dishes - you throw them out!! Sent these back - server apologized and said that the kitchen didn't see this. A blind man could see this!! There is no reason to charge $23.99 for a chicken sandwich or $18.49 for a kids meal. Ice tea and soda were $5.49 - child's apple juice was $6.99 - WHY?? We didn't order drinks from the bar because of the outrageous prices!! I understand that the dinosaurs move and roar and someone comes around once in a costume and roars at each table but this place isn't worth it!!!!! The floors in both the men's and women's bathrooms were so sticky and dirty. This place is horrible and not worth a visit. If you're coming here with children so they have a good time... don't. You're wasting your time and money. We got here at 1:50 for a 2:00 reservation. Didn't need a reservation. Over half of the tables were empty. The interactive dinosaur that is supposed to go to each table was held up by a grown adult who set up a ring light and wasted all of the dinosaurs time taking multiple photos and videos so that no one else could take a photo or video with the dinosaur. Again, a grown woman. Reservations... let's talk about that one. If you do it on the website you enter your email and cell phone number. You don't receive a confirmation so you don't even know if the reservation went through. Tried calling and no one answered so I couldn't even confirm we had a reservation. Tables were empty and it took a good 10 minutes to get seated at a table. Food was decent... overpriced. Had there been a dinosaur interaction then I would retract the statement that it was over priced. We were told the second dinosaur interaction would be at 3 pm. At 2:54 the sounds of dinosaurs were going off and the animals started moving. By 3:03 still no dinosaur. This place needs new management or something. It has potential to be great but right now is lacking. read more

I'm glad we didn't look at the reviews before coming here. Our daughter loves dinosaurs and that was the main reason we came. All of the staff was very friendly to us and our daughter. BUT the food was pleasantly surprising. It was amazing!! We expected run of the mill food given the awesome atmosphere but we got great dinner and an even better experience.
